xD Hello Kitty is so cute and such an icon in the 90s and in 2000. Love it so much and these pen colors are a perfect dusty purple and pink! Truly lovely and cute!
I'd been searching for a lilac Kaweco AL sport for months, so when I saw this collab I ordered it immediately. The other colors are so pretty though too... my restraint is really being tested. 😂
XD My restraint definitely failed, but I wanted to support my pals at MuzePens so this was justified in both my desire for the cute pens and desire to support their small business XD I'm happy for you that this lilac color came out and I think it looks absolutely beautiful!
Oh my goodness I never knew that kaweco made hello kitty special fountain pens. New wishlist unlocked!! I love the pastel pink. I have large hands with long fingers as I’m 5’10” so I have not considered these pens before as I always thought they may be too small in my hand. I’m stuck ❤ my pilot original capless with flex nib and can’t put it down. I’m adding this to my birthday wishlist for sure. 😊
Yes I think Kaweco is the only brand that has collaborated with Sanrio for Hello Kitty! :) they’re super duper cute and I simply love these colors! They are definitely tiny pocket pens but when posted they should be great pocket pen sized still for bigger hands! I hope you can get the pastel pink someday ^_^ but I definitely suggest holding one in your hands first!! That way you know if you’ll love writing with it or not. This has helped me steer clear of some pens I know won’t feel good in my hands.
@@KenchanKrafts thank you for your advice. I have a friend who has a kaweco sport and I’ll have to test it posted to make sure I enjoy the writing experience.
Yessss!!! That's one for the pink team! :D Though I honestly love them all since they will represent each color ink that I enjoy! Thanks for watching and being wow'd by their cuteness! hehe :)
My favorite of the three colors is opal, since it looks like the darkest. Because of my tomboyish nature, pale pastels have never really been my style, though they do look very pretty.
Yes, I can tell you do enjoy the darker bolder colors from watching your videos, Ursula! The opal one is my second favorite, though...I can also say its tied with the Lilac! :)
My Kaweco gold clips always oxidize. I’ve bought two now and they have rusted spots so that’s my only reason to but purchase the lilac one. I really love the look of it but in not going to purchase a new clip every 3 months. Considering spraying something on them next time to see if that helps cause I love the color of my dark olive.
Oh that’s interesting, mine have not done that to me yet. But I keep my Kaweco locked up in my pen chest since putting it on break for a few months. They really should coat their clips so they function like most clips that do not oxidize. I’m guessing you prefer your kawecos with clips since they’re meant to be clipless.
These are so cute! I really love that teal/opal colour. I am not a huge fan of metal pens, they have all been too smooth and heavier then I like, there are probably the first to tempt me in a little while
If you really enjoy the light weight of the regular sports, then yeah, these are a tad big heavier (they are about 20g, while the PGS are 17g). This soft bright teal/opal is PERFECT XD my teal/turquoise brain is super ecstatic about it!!
I love your enthusiasm in this video. :) I really want the lilac one, but I tried getting one before and the nib was really feedbacky. Not sure I should give it another try, especially for the price. But it's such a cute pen.
Aww thank you!! I hope the enthusiasm helps spread the fountain pen love! The Hello Kitty kawecos actually use jowo nibs, so they’re very smooth. Though my one bock nib Kaweco also writes extremely smooth, so I’m sorry that yours isn’t like that. If you watch my Pelikan m1000 vs m600 video, I use my kaweco to compare writing samples and it has almost no feedback compared to the rest of the pens I used in the video. But I agree, at this price, the hello kitty is not really worth it for a lot of people. I still ponder it’s worth to me lol but I do love them!
@@KenchanKraftsI had returned the one that had the unpleasant nib, but I just ordered a replacement because I couldn't resist. By the way, they seem to make you happy, so I think they're probably worth it, haha. I hope you're still enjoying them! 😊
Sooo pretty and stinkin' cute! I've only had one Kaweco Skyline Sport (Macchiato) but I could never get it to flow properly even with a stub nib. I ended up selling it. These are very tempting though...
Oh no!! I'm sorry to hear that, Tina. Before these, I only had my iguana blue and iridescent pearl - both in mediums, and they both performed exceptional with the inks I've put in them (both shimmers and non shimmers). Never dried up, always write after months of not using, no hard starts -- impeccable. So either I'm lucky or Kaweco has improved their Quality Control. Which of these 3 colors is your favorite?
I have that one, but alas, tis a dry ink, as most dusty pinks are. I shall test it in there, since kawecos are very easy to clean out, if I don't like it, I'll just clean it and on to the next pink ink!
With these, it was my very first time trying out Kaweco Fines. They were extremely fine, which is so surprising because I'm quite used to Pilot Fines and those are quite fine (albeit very smooth). I was expecting more typical broader Fines that western fines are known for. They are smooth, but not as smooth as Pilots, and just as thin. I did not get a bad batch of these pens, but I know Muze Pens do good with the pens they sell to me :)
I was so surprised to hear you mention that the converters sometimes dont fit the Kawecos, I have had the same issue with a couple of my converters too! So disappointing for how much they cost :( I am so glad your worked well and all the pens are so beautiful :)
Yeah, I bought a kaweco converter from Amazon and it was way too tight and didn't even go into the feed hole to secure a vacuum tight grip. So I returned it and bought one from Goldspot or Goulet lol. These Kawecos are so great, I love having them in my collection!
They are gorgeous and I love my many kaweco pens but at that price I think I will pass! Can I ask you, Lao, I just bought the Pilot Vanishing Point …. I know, I know … no more pens! 🤣🤪 It didn’t come with a cover for cartridges…… is that essential? I’m guessing yes and if you confirm I’ll order one. Thanks 👍
xD Hi Jean! I know right? No more pens!!! We feel each other on that haha :D As for your cartridge cover...the cover is only necessary if you're using one of those plastic cartridges and you're not using the Con-40. The con-40 is long enough for the knob to touch it. The plastic cartridges need that metal cover. Though...pilots should come with that metal cover if they didn't provide you with a converter.
@@jeanrobinson6584 oh, no no! The converter is the con-40. xD That doesn't need a cover! :) If you watch my Pilot 30th anniversary, you'll see that I got a con-40 converter AND a plastic tube. The plastic tube requires a metal cover, the con-40 converter does not need a metal cover. It's totally safe to just pop that converter in there and close the unit! You should be safe to not buy a metal cover because those don't fit that converter anyways.
@@jeanrobinson6584 Correct! Because the knob at the end will press against the plastic, possibly breaking it or creating leakage over time. The con-40's tip is hard plastic, so it doesn't get damaged by the VP's knob.

Can we say I am obsessed?? I love love love these. The purple color is so good with the ink.
Yes we can totally say that you are obsessed!! And rightfully so! 😸 the purple one is my favorite!
