I love the relationship that you have with your son!! And I love the way you have taught your son to understand and respect the art of lyricism and raw and uncut classic hip hop👏🏾👏🏾👩🏾
Hip hop's unofficial anthem is a Apache by the Incredible Bongo Band. This track is that often played break beat only it has been slowed down and looped.
Not sure if people understood the lyrics, Rooftop like we bringing 88 back. That was because at the time there was a club called Latin Quarters, and the Rooftop was where everyone hung out like all the rap stars hung out in the rooftops. I meet, Fat Boys, Run DMC, shit you name an artist in the '80s and 90's they were there.
To me its...Nas,Biggie and Rakim as the greatest MC's....then theres everyone else....Those are my top 3...and to me theyre rated the same.... theyre all from a scale of 1-10...theyre all a 10...in other words all 3 are equal in my opinion
Agree and disagree. Rakim changed the game and elevated Lyricism and The poetic aspect of Hip Hop. Biggie was so impactful, because of his melodious style and star quality, especially given how short of a time that he was around for. But, Nas, was not only a Child prodigy, but his Unparalleled Lyricism, Genius level of Wordplay, his content, influence, message, and consistency is unmatched. There's no rapper Dead or Alive that can outrap Nas. He's My Number One. There's Artists (IMO) that are better than Nas, but none are Hip Hop Artists.
song is fire. I can't deal with these edited versions cause that's not what we listened to back in the day. The edits or radio or video versions are not the actual song in my mind and should not ever be used for reviews. I have two or three versions of this song and none are edited.
