What? How can you be objective when you're absorbing art that depicts deep rooted racial issues here in America? Those three Black men you're being condescending towards have been through the mud. They can be as biased as they want - they wear the scars.
Oh give me a break, do you know them personally? Or are you just assuming because they’re black that makes them victims? Hmmm sounds a little racist to me. Yes there are racist people in America, yeah it sucks, but it’s not just whitey hates black. Besides if you wanna judge based off appearance then here I will too; these men look to be early 30s at most, so LONG after the Jim Crow laws were disbanded, so I am inclined to believe they have suffered no oppression by actual laws in place because there are no laws in place that hinder one races rights compared to another. Sure they’ve dealt with racist people, so have I, but I don’t blame a whole race or act like my whole race should receive constant pity like the worst thing in the world is to be called a racial slur. Racism has only gotten worse because of people who spread their racist ideals and people like the ones in this video who inspire them.

Agreed. I would have subscribed if it wasn't for the dude in the middle. Great job alienating a demographic that makes up 70% of the population in the country you live in that could have been subscribers.
So if a white dude was reacting and he was imitating black people by talking stereotypical "black", telling the white dude in the video to "get his ass" when it showed the white dude while the black dude was talking, and then the white dude says the black dude looks like a stereotypical whatever after seeing him for 1 second wouldn't be racist? All of which you all did and more. This video should start a conversation about race not enforce racists stereotypes. I think you all missed the point on this. I watched at least 20 reactions on this. Mostly black people because I truly want to see the other side. None of the white people I watched ever cheered the white dude on. They mostly cringe at what he's saying. The ones I subscribed to was the reactions from the black RUclipsrs who admit some flaws from people in their race and start a discussion of why they disagree on some of the other points. They share their opinion on why they agree with some of the points the black actor was saying. And yes, I admit flaws about some people in my race. Don't get me wrong, you all made some good points at the end of the video, but a video that's supposed to start a discussion about race is not the time to make racist jokes. Save that for another video.
Actually, im white and everyone in my family knows all about fried chicken and barbecue. That part, at least, was pure b.s. Everyone with tastebuds knows all about fried chicken and barbecue!!! Its not only delicious to blacks, wtf?
the middle dude: "He look like he racist too" "I still wouldn't hug him" then why the hell you watching this if you still don't get the message man. See, people like you who just can't be open-minded is 50% the reason for racism, because you make assumptions first. Be open-minded man, be empathetic. True empathy Requires that you step outside Your own emotions To view things entirely from The perspective of The other person
Xiztance YT, No, he's saying that if you can't look at both sides and see that both are equally racist, but not just racist, but factual. Basically, if you can't see that both are right in their own respect, then you don't understand the song.
Lazerman993 I actually don’t agree. The white side was more racist saying the n word, talking about the stereotypical black dad and the stereotypical black guy but the black side was mentioning things like how cops kill black guys and he talked about the use of the n word. Never once did the black guy mention a white stereotype. Funny thing about the video is that the black guy wasn’t racist at all, be spoke about stereotypes while the white guy spoke about the flaws in the African American community. I understand what the video is about and no I didn’t completely misunderstand the message of the song, it’s just the way I see it.
ImmiigrantBoii yeah I get that but I’m talking about the GENERAL IDEA. The MAJORITY of what the white guy was saying were insults and assumptions and the black guy was RESPONDING. Hence the white guy talking about the n word and the black guy defending black people’s usage of the word. Hence the white guy talking about Tupac and the black guy defended Tupac. Hence the white guy talking about drugs in the black community and the black guy defending himself and defending the community, talking about poverty. About the fried chicken thing, that’s not racist he was basically saying that white people hate on black people but tend to be obsessed with taking black culture yet they know nothing about it. Those were just examples of things that black people could say were theres.
ImmiigrantBoii yes but what I’m saying is that it’s still debatable and actually no. According to many sources they only state that the Scottish were the ones who used it the most. Fried chicken was invented in Europe but the point I’m trying to make is in AMERICA, fried chicken is still considered black culture, it’s included as a soul food which is black culture. Scottish may have invented it in Europe or not but it was brought to America by African Americans AND popularized AND spiced. In America, fried chicken is black culture because African Americans are who brought it here. Definition of culture is the arts and other manifestations of human intellectual achievement regarded collectively. In other words the norms or social behaviors. One of the norms for African Americans in America is fried chicken. Doesn’t mean that Americans OWN fried chicken lmfao, that’s not the definition of CULTURE.
If one person(Joyner Lucas) wrote both parts and understood them without any racism then everyone can but not everyone wants to. They just like to be right.
Joyner lucas is halve black and halve white maybe that makes it easier for him?? Idk... And then again it's America who almost force him and other mixed kids to choose what he is. Black or White, which is ridiculous imo. . Unfortunately It's a bigger problem then only a few individuals. But you are right some people just always want to be right even if they are so wrong... In the end peace has to start somewhere. I truely believe there are a lot of people who did understood joyner his message also. More then I maybe even expected. So thats a nice beginning
The guy in the middle is low-key racist he has no opinion while the white guy is talking but as soon as Joyner starts speaking he gets so gased like sit down bro
Welp , you definitely didn’t understand ANYTHING at all . Joyner is speaking throughout the whole video . He got people of different races to play each side , to gain a visual perspective of the words .
Yeahh. I’m not okay with the middle guy. Hated on the WHOLE “white” verse but shook your head as yes the WHOLE “colored” verse. Can you say missed the whole message🤮.
It highkey irritates me when black people miss the point of the video. Of course we can relate to the black struggles and that side of the argument more because, you guessed it, we’re black. But that doesn’t mean it’s right. Both sides are opposite ends of extremes; they’re both stereotyping and if you agree with either you’re in the wrong. They’re not issuing straight fact, they’re giving their very biased opinions on the issue! At the end they both had gained empathy from hearing eachothers story and that’s how they came to an ‘understanding’. now, of course racism is an issue concerning black people’s lives and white people aren’t the ones who face racism on a day to day basis, so (in my hopefully unbiased opinion) the black side voiced some more legitimate struggles but that STILL doesn’t mean either is right. The white guy said things that had truth to them too and a lot of people are either too afraid to agree or unable to accept that. The delivery wasn’t pleasant so likely your first reaction is to flinch at his excessive use of the n word and want to establish how you could not agree less, but that’s why you need to approach this with a clear mind and see the true message of the video. I’m not gonna lie, at first I found myself agreeing with the black side a bit too much and I had to remind myself that’s the point of the video, to realise I shouldn’t be. Joyner knew what he was doing when he made this and he did it well.
Also, I know it doesn’t matter but I’m 12 so I’m *very* aware I don’t know everything, and I may have completely missed some points myself. Feel free to educate me :)
I'm black and I agree with the white side cuz wat he said was so true tho even tho Black's won't admit it cuz he was white sayen but as soon as the blk guy says shit it's like praise Jesus it's annoying and kinda ridiculous at this point
it’s just bias. As a white male, 15 years old, I agreed more with the white side at first cause I’m white. Of course you’ll be with the side that represents you cause that’s how we are as humans. Like voting, if you agreed with Donald Trump, you’d vote for him, if you agreed with Hillary, you’d vote for her. And that’s one thing people don’t understand. People think all Trump supporters are racist cause they think Trump’s racist, but in reality, (even if it was close) the majority went for Trump because he promised to do more to benefit them than any other candidate did. And that’s the problem. We can’t come together unless we understand each others points of view and our needs. We’ll stay separated until we no longer see race but that we all can look at a race other than ours, and say, “thats one of my brothers/sisters”
"He looks racist" that's racist, assuming by the way he looks that he's a racist. But, you were WAY more respectful than many other reactions to this video, they would complain and complain, not listening to most of the song until they heard what they liked.

@@ragingvikingyt6002 Would it be recognizing that stereotypical appearance of a present-day white racist, or would it be prejudice? I lean towards it being stereotyping over prejudice. Here's something, I'm white and live in Scotland. I've never spent time with a black person. Not through me excluding them, just never been in a situation where I'm with black people. I'd love to sit down with a few of my friends and a few black people and talk about our culture's. We're both humans, but we operate in 2 completely different ways. I'm definitely not racist, I've never had a bad word to say about any race. I was brought up poor as well. Would be great to just chill, have a smoke and just talk about each others problems and issues and sort shit out.
I'm white, 37 and live in Canada. My family lives in a town where the underground railroad brought slaves to be free here in Canada. It's now a historical site and museum. I loved this song. We are all humans. I don't care what colour your skin is. I just care about your character and whether or not your helping others, even if it's only a little bit. There's too much misinformation out there. Science even says humanity migrated from Africa. We are all brothers and sisters. I wish there was more music like this. I've watched this about 6 times now. I love it. Please think before you act and act how you would want others to act towards you. Borders are just lines in the sand that we as humans draw. Increase where you put your line and eventually you won't have one. I wish everyone a happy and fruitful life. I'm not racist, and neither should you be. Please 🙏✌️
I'm scared to even talk about things like this being a white person, feel like black people hate me just for being white and it sucks. The point of this song is to give insights of both perspectives to both sides and start a conversation. If someone won't even want to try to understand the other side of the story than theirs, they're part of the problem.
The song begins with a rap verse about racial politics from the perspective of a Trump supporter. This particular Trump supporter is a garishly unsympathetic white man, who among other things, calls black people the n-word, minimizes the longstanding effects of slavery, and believes that black men are killed by the police because they wear gold teeth. He makes no attempt to blanket these offensive views in flawed statistical data or circuitous dog-whistles, he simply recites these ideas candidly, speaking in a way that is so raw that Ann Coulter herself might blush at the lack of filter. After three minutes of such uncut bigotry, this verse takes a hard left turn and concludes abruptly with, “There’s two sides to every story, I wish I knew yours.” With this one throwaway line, Lucas asks us to believe that a character who says things like, “All you care about is rappin’ and stuntin’ and bein’ ratchet, and that’s the n---er within you” is also open-minded enough to embrace the validity of different perspectives. I don’t want to burst anyone’s bubble here, but there is no precedent for this man in the real world.

Why did you target blacks tho ? There are people of multiple races that misinterpret the song .
Golden B you’re 12?? Omg. Well done. You are going places. Your future is bright.
"He looks racist" that's racist, assuming by the way he looks that he's a racist. But, you were WAY more respectful than many other reactions to this video, they would complain and complain, not listening to most of the song until they heard what they liked.

Guy in the middle is racist and doesn't understand song
Joyner's writing is so good and so realistic that we all get intensely angry at the white dude! Absolutely art....thought provoking.
But we’re not supposed to take sides
Saying “I still wouldn’t hug him” explains how necessary this song was/is. Thanks for proving my boy’s point.
yea that what was joyner was trying to warn us abt
"you know the black part is gonna be lit!" unsubscribe just like every reaction video ive watched everyone gets pissed off at the "white" part but go crazy for the "black" part just proves joyners point
Exactly, did the same thing...unsubscribe
@ 9:41 you can see how the whole message in this song was lost to these poor black youths. They take pride in the fact of being disrespectful, arrogant and aggressive. Especially when the black actor smacked the hat off the white actor- They reveled in it. SMH- This was not supposed to be a power move type of track. It was supposed to spark conversation, but closed minded people like you will never let it happen to yourselves. This is why people in your situation [white or black] will never prosper. You have no ability to open your minds- You are to angry and not willing to move forward.

Exactly people are ignorant and knocking someone’s hat off there head, possibly damaging someone else’s property man that’s enough for me to whoop you, especially since the white guy never touched him or his property.

So I grew up listening to quality rap music my whole life . Joyner Lucas is by far one of the best new rappers out there , you're guys white people impressions is borderline offensive I can't lie . When I first listened to this song I realized what this song will do for both cultures as a whole, especially if you've read all the positive comments on that video . I understand there's a lot of racist people out there and I'm sure there is a lot of people out there that sound like that but you can't classify an entire race as "white people" . I got a lot of love for you guys . I was trying to find reaction videos from people who actually have good taste in rap music and I found that with you guys.
I am very happy i grew up in a multi cultural City. Black people, White people, muslims, atheist etc. It gave me a lot of knowlegde and that gives me more power. If you could just imagine how much we could do if discrimination and racisme disappeared.

"You hate my skin, don't you..."
Song starts...
"Oohhh"
"Sip my invisible coffee ." Lol
“Like imma sip my invisible coffee with that one” 😂
They should've gotten some white guys in the reaction to make it interesting
They totally missed the whole point of the video. smh🤦🏽♀️
he song begins with a rap verse about racial politics from the perspective of a Trump supporter. The guy in the middle missed the entire point of this song and he was so clearly salty during the white verse and refused to acknowledge the points
Bet that half of you watching this we’re waiting for them to react to Joyner drop the hard ER
12:55 Fat michelin man in the middle said "I still wouldnt hug him tho" at the end.. lol, he is the exact problem.
I’m sad you guys completely missed the point of the song (especially the dude in the middle). It’s not the white guy being wrong and the black guy correcting him. It’s both sides being racist and stereotyping the other... damn will there ever be a good reaction and discussion to this track ?
The guy in middle looks like cleveland brown
Actually... he just looks like the whole city of Cleveland
