I just finished installing it on my 2018 Ram 2500 Diesel. I had never done anything like this before, and it didn't take me over 30 minutes from start to finish! As long as you follow the instructions, it seems pretty hard to mess up. The connectors are all different sizes and colors, so there's no way to mess up the connections.
Apparently they have updated the software, and no longer requires Internet Explorer. It's not mentioned in the instructions, but mine worked fine with Edge.
Hello, I saw your video and I would like to put it in my truck. I tried to order the equipment but it says that it is for 2018, mine is 2015. My question is if it works in 2015
So I bought the same one for my diesel and I brought it to the shop they resetted my computer for some reason So it erased And it does not work anymore I can't instructions install I was wondering if you can help me out I can't find it online or on there website
No it just depends what you have as far as tip start with key start or push to start that will depend on the model you get I don’t remember if I had to input Diesel engine or not but The computer overrides the remote start and makes the grid heater come on before allowing to start
I just had auto start installed in my diesel truck and it was amazing but now the heater doesn’t turn on with remote start until I physically put key in and turn key. Anyone else have this problem?
The heater does nothing at all until I put key in and turn it. The air blows warm when I turn key because I start the engine twice before actually getting in but still cold inside when I get out
@@Imoto23 I think cabin heat. The one that comes out of the vents inside. I leave all the dials turned on to red hot and to blow out air but it is not doing it automatically with auto start anymore. Which defeats the purpose of me getting it installed for Alaska haha

Doesn’t let the grid heater warm up ?
@@Kevin-yl9sc yup it still lets heater warm
I’m fixing to install mine. Is yours still working good?
Yup! Just used it today!
@@Imoto23 thanks
Can this work with a manual ram?
I’m pretty sure yes

Does it give a list of compatible years? Cuz it should be for more then just 2018
@@Imoto23 Thanks for your answer, it says there that it is for 2018 and up
Mine is for 2018 and newer, but there is a version for older models.
Do you have an mm3 tuner plugged in your obd2 port too? And if so does it effect anything with your remote start ?
Tuner doesn’t affect the remote start
Thts exactly what I wanted to know
Great video!
How is the remote holding up?
Great!!
How did the remote start programming affect your tuning? I’ve been looking for a kit, just wasn’t sure if it would mess up the tuning on my cummins
Didn’t affect it one bit 👍🏻

What about the heater? Does it pre-heat?
Yup it does , still uses it’s normal start procedure
Will this work on push start Rams?
There’s a different kit for PTS
How do you lock the car since the unlock button is now the starter ?
It’s still the lock button you just hit 3x to use remote start
Did you get a 2500/3500 special model? Just to make sure grid heater will work it looks like its the same for gas models also?

That’s weird , does it still have the delay cycle like it’s trying to turn on or preheat?

@@polatai ohhh so you’re talking about the cabin heater?

@@polatai yeah that totally makes sense, I’ll have to try mine and see if it works or not , I never took notice
What is the range of the remote start?
As far as your remote to unlock your doors reaches since it works off that
Very cool and about $350 cheaper than the dealer.
Yeah 100% cheaper! And works identical!
Did you figure out how to set the delay?
