What if Sekiro/Japan is actually the Land of Reeds that Elden Ring talks about?🤔. Probably not, but it's cool to think about. The Sakura Dragon could have been Chased away from the Lands between because of the fight against the Golden Order and the Erdtree and settled in Japan. And since there are so many Dragons in the game, one of the areas like Caelid could have once been beautiful with Sakura trees before the scarlet Rot took over. Just a fun theory to think about😄
I feel like the Owl Inspired ones could be its own mod as well, if possible a "true" shinobi mod where Wolf has more his basic combo but the combat arts are more "inspired" by the different opponents that he has fought, lady butterflies Kunai as the shuriken chase and such? Mabye Owl's Mikiri counter ? Just spitballin ideas

You will have to open up both files in DS Anim Studio and then find which attacks you want to change. You can sort of copy and paste over the things you want to change, sorry that I don't have a tutorial on this but there is some content on youtube for the tool.

The great work that's gone into this is clear. Everything looks super clean, bravo. Just a few Q's tho. Is something like Owl's high monk multistage? Or any of the multi stage combat arts really (like starlight passage). Like do you activate the combat art and then continue pressing r1 to continue the combo or is it that you activate the move and then you're just inactionable in a long animation? Also, would there be any possible way to mix and match sub skills on these abilites? For example using shadow blink with Tomoe's sakura dance. I know that this mix and match feature isn't in the mod, I am bassically saying this would be a great feature and is it possible to impliment? Thank you as always! Now I hope this answer here helps not just you, but a few who may have similar questions. What determines whether the ability is multi-stage or one long feature is entirely up to the original combat art's code. So Owl's High Monk is multi-stage because animation transitions are not forced automatically, but rather wait for player input. Mid-air Sakura Dance runs through technically 5 animations - 1. Start of attack in mid-air, 2. Transition animation to touching the ground but retaining the same attack, 3. The last strike pushes you into the air, 4. Falling through the air after the strike, 5. The landing animation of the combo. One input starts this whole chain and it can only be interrupted, not segmented so I have to work within those constraints. Also If an animation originally did not place the player into the air, I cannot force it to, it will just interrupt the animation with a generic airborne animation instead, lots of little details to keep in mind haha. I wish I could mix and match more and I think it would be a great idea, but unfortunately without the help of another mod it probably isn't possible outside of me making a few set configurations that are popular, (also some sub-skills rely on the code of their specific combat art, not all but some.) it's a tricky area to navigate. In your example it may be possible but what would initially happen is when you use Shadow Blink when having Sakura Dance equipped, when you land after blinking it will start to play steps 2-5 / 3-5 (depending how high you jumped) of the animation process I mentioned above. It would work with combat arts that have simple mid-air attacks like Ichimonji or Spiral Cloud Passage. Hope that helps give you some clarity!

I've had an idea recently about moving a sub-skill to a prosthetic mid-air animation e.g. Instead of the mid-air finger whistle animation, it is replaced with the double jump. This could serve your idea around mixing and matching to some extent. The only downside is you lose the prosthetic mid-air, but in this one example I don't think many people would miss the mid-air finger whistle animation, but that could just be me.

Hey bro XD this is amazing, absolutely amazing, only a little thing, first, the new ichimonji/shidori its cool but a little lame compare to the others, maybe you could do something like a "mortal ichimonji" using parts of the mortal blade attacks and maybe in the future a "death(black mortal blade) ashina cross" , these are just some ideas, keep the good work man, you're awesome XD
I like the idea of a mortal Ichimonji, but it's hard to utilise the mortal blade effects well, to me they can look cheap if not curated properly. As for black mortal blade, I actually tried converting the normal one into black, however most of the effects are geo-locked to the Genichiro fight so they would only appear in certain areas which I thought was lame. Thanks for the feedback.
This mod is absolutely amazing. I love the sub-skill idea, it really adds sprinkles on top of the gameplay cake without changing the original stuff. I really hope and encourage you keep adding stuff. I was just mod browsing and downloaded a Scorpion outfit from Mortal Kombat and it looks insane, right after I stumbled into this mod and lemme tell you how well the fire rush compliments that outfit. If you are looking for ideas, it would definitely be crazy to see a combat art or skill that lets you throw a weapon or grappling hook that lets you bring any enemy closer. Maybe a shuriken sub skill that teleports you to or even behind the enemy hit. This idea could be pretty unique on the sabimaru as well. Sorry, I got carried away. You did a fantastic job with this mod
For sure Fromsoft in general makes the closest thing to a good anime game. After I saw elden ring for the first time that's all I could think Been running around sekiro with the Sasuke mod

@@BandicootPWR it's like the mod is not installed. I just drop the chr folder to the mods folder and replace the sakura one. I also try to delete everything and put only sekiro mod manager and the elden arts mod but nothing is working.
@@raifuu4438 For the mod to work you really only need two things: In your 'Sekiro' directory, the two files 'dinput8.dll' and 'modengine.ini'. Modengine.ini should be opened in notepad and configured so that you can have these two fields 'useModOverrideDirectory=1', and 'modOverrideDirectory="\mods"' . Now you can place the 'chr' folder from my mod, inside the a folder called 'mods', this 'mods' folder should be in the 'Sekiro' directory so that ultimately you find my mod file under 'Sekiro\mods\chr\c0000.anibnd.dcx'. I hope that helps.

was the shuras mind changed? in the newer version the only change is a small wave of fire releasing at the end of the combat art. maybe it got bugged when the game updated? after playing around i see a couple of them have changed such as the flame rush, which didn't have the leap at the end, is this intentional? if so is there any way i can get these previous versions?
Hey! Shura’s Mind was changed to do fire dmg as you were able to stun lock some enemies by spamming the combat art. As for flame rush it hasn’t been changed, the leap is when you have the upgraded version (similar to how shadowfall works)
Shura's Mind uses the Kanji for bestowal ninjutsu, and I actually don't know where the Lazulite Sky one comes from, I found it when testing effects files and liked the visual. FFXID - 300092 if you are interested.
The mod replaces the regular abilities so you’ll need to unlock each one through game progression. A patch coming next month will give the option to unlock them all instantly.
You can use them as many times as you like until your spirit emblems are depleted. There is an infinite emblems power at the dilapidated temple if you want to make the game easy.

@@jamesstent The only compromise I could suggest is using the mod that binds Combat Arts to hot keys to make it more seamless, but yeah not perfect.

Odd question, but for Lazulite Sky and Shura’s Mind, is the kanji effect originally a game asset or did you create that yourself?

don't need much except a few files from NexusMods. The main thing to have is modengine which will let you put mods you want in a folder and voila.
