Yes, I have been looking for some ways to make my natural nail manicures last longer. I was thinking that making the natural nail a little rough would help the polish and your video confirmed that idea. I also need to remember to cap the nails at the end to help from chipping. Thank you!!!

Thanks for this. Have to give this a go. My nail Polish doesn't last a day. It peels so easily

Hello there. I watched a portion of this video and I just wanted to offer a bit of constructive criticism.
The way you're pushing back your cuticle seems to be delaminating the top layer of your nail plate. If you have any problems with peeling that's why. The same goes for the scraping on the nail plate. You're literally shaving layers of the nail plate away.
180 grit is not a fine grit, in fact it's one of the coarser grits used on human nails. I don't ever reccomend buffing as it will shave away layers of your nail plate and cause them to peel.
I won't go on about what I do, but I want to stop the spread of misinformation in the nail community. Please reconsider and research your methods hon.
I hope you have a good one and wish you luck in all your nail endeavours

Great video! I usually clean the wet polish off of my cuticles and the sides with the tip of a thin, (old) metal file. Then I go back later when I'm finished with those "Q-Tips" made especially for manicures. I also ALWAYS use the quick-dry spray between coats and make sure the previous coat is dry, but sometimes I get impatient and I don't wait long enough!

Here's a tip, if you but base coat every 2-3 days, ut might last longer, it does for me :)

Why didn’t you wash that white dust and stuff off after buffing the nails, that can make the nail bed bumpy and theres a chance the polish won’t go on smooth or stick to the nail bed to last longer, anyway I have this stuff called blue cross cuticle remover and it turns any dead skin around the cuticle and on the nail bed gooey and makes it so easy to remove and push the cuticles back and that cuticle pusher you have makes the process that much easier, I use those two together and my cuticles and nail bed look so good afterwards, looks like a new nail bed lol before I paint my nails but my polish still doesn’t last long and it’s very annoying, irritating, and frustrating especially after you put so much time into doing a nice manicure and I think it’s cause I don’t really prime my nail bed, I don’t use a buffer to get rid of the shine and ridges and sometimes I don’t use a base coat so that could be it too but I have done these things and it still don’t last hence why I’m looking up videos on how to get nail polish to last cause I need at least 5 days wear before it starts chipping or peeling so it feels like it was worth the work I put in painting them as oppose to only two to three days

I did remove the dust with the brush and with alcohol. I dont recomend using any cuticle softeners like the one you mentioned... because those usually deposit even more oils. Oils are what make the polish chip and not last. I think that is why you notice it lifting. Try not using it next time and try this method. Let me know if you notice a difference. 😉

How long do you leave between coats please so that it’s completely dry as you said?

Your cuticles look really rough. All I could think was she seriously needs to invest in some cuticle oil.

Also base coat stops the nail polish from staining the nail 🙂

I have S and S on my nails that are suppose to last 2-3 weeks. It’s been 6 days and my thumb nail has chipped a little already!! 😡 I paid $35.
How can I prevent it from chipping more? Clear nail polish over it?

You can try applying Top Coat every three days just to make sure that your nail polish is really secure

Thanks so much for the detailed and very thoughtful Video! I’m excited to try these methods out. I looked at your nail dehydrator video, however, I don’t speak Spanish! Is there anyway that you can tell us the ratios of the acetone and the alcohol in English? Maybe by just replying to this comment?

    • @ItzaNails
      @ItzaNails  6 лет назад +2

Hi! Thanks for the kind comment... And thanks for taking the time to watch my videos. The ratio for the nail dehydrator is about 60% alcohol and 40% acetone. Just make sure to use it is 100% pure acetone. Hope this helps

I wished I had the time so i could dedicate the time to do videos in both languages like I had initially planned to do so. But with a family and a full time job... I can barely do one 😧 ...sorry 😔
