    We are older retirees and want to rent in Longmont while deciding whether or not to purchase a home. Do you have any rental or leasing properties you’d recommend? 1 or 2 bedrooms one bath ranch or bldg with elevator

    Is the land acres for sale with no house on it? Canyou live in a tiny house on wheels there?

      There's very little land for sale in Longmont.
      The city wouldn't allow for that type of dwelling.

      I think you are asking which place I like better because I am definitely not getting paid to advertise, LOL! I live in Longmont and for my needs, I do prefer it to Boulder. Do you have a preference between Longmont and Boulder?

    CO has become too progressive over the last 25 years.

    • @Boulder-Longmont-Homes
      @Boulder-Longmont-Homes  7 месяцев назад

      Where do you think the areas are that have had the most and least progressive trend?

    • @georgesawtooth
      @georgesawtooth 7 месяцев назад

      @@Boulder-Longmont-Homes Denver and Boulder are the hubs of progressivism. Denver has so many vandalized buildings and many abandoned buildings with chain link fences around them. Denver and Boulder are like Portland or San Francisco....easy on crime and criminals and taxing the working class to the max.
      The nicest towns are more conservative like Firestone or the small eastern towns like Sterling and Holyoke. Even western part of Greeley is nice. Politically progressive people just have a fundamentally different view point that ultimately spirals out of control with legalizing everything. Detroit, Chicago, NYC, and Baltimore were once nice cities but have decayed to garbage dumps.

    • @Boulder-Longmont-Homes
      @Boulder-Longmont-Homes  7 месяцев назад +1

      @@georgesawtooth I can tell that you know the area well! Firestone is a great town. I don't know if you've been around Longmont much, but I think you would be surprised at how nice it is given it's close proximity to Boulder. It's close to Firestone too. Longmont will continue to have high property values with it's local government being different than Boulder and Denver's.

      @@Boulder-Longmont-Homes I grew up in CO and attended CSU up in Fort Collins. Longmont is a nice town in my opinion. I would live there over Boulder. Fort Collins is a nice city. Loveland, Berthoud, Windsor and Johnstown are nice towns. I just hope their politics don't take a strong left turn as more people move to CO. Fort Lupton is growing fast and pretty nice.

      @@georgesawtooth Ah, you are a native and your perspective is right on about where good areas are to live! I have hope for Boulder that it won't fall into the same category as Portland etc. because they have been tightening up on various policies in the last 18 months.

      Not enough adequate housing was built or available during the rapid population growth in "tech"jobs which skewed the cost of living. There is no cheap housing which can be achieved on average income.

      While there are older townhomes for sale under $400k occasionally. It's true, that this type of affordable housing is scarce.@@vincefalcone171
