    Please note: After hearing some QC complaints and possibly issues with changes in materials I can no longer recommend these. I would suggest using Perry Parts bumps, or DuroBumps. This mod was also done on a lifted 4Runner. I cannot confirm how these bump stops will sit or function on a stock height vehicle.

      PerryParts 3d prints their bump stops, I wouldn't trust 3D printed parts to carry anything of value outside of my 4runner, why would you trust them with a literal ton of weight? You're just asking to have a bad day that's going to cost you thousands of dollars. Either stay stock or use something that's proven like durobumps.

      @ Here is a video where they talk about and demonstrate their testing process. They test up to 100,000 cycles and claim to test with more pressure/weight than competitors. I’m no expert but they 3D print using a filament which has benefits. ruclips.net/video/hL4d8rB2B30/видео.html

    I went ahead and purchased these bump stops for my 2023 with mild Eibach 2.0R lift…2” front, 1” rear. The rears seem decent, but I wasn’t impressed with the Energy fronts. The fronts seem somewhat flimsy and Energy managed to include the wrong thread count bolts which I didn’t know until I pulled the originals off and tried installing the new. I’m fortunate as there’s a decent ACE hardware up the road and found the correct M10-1.25 x 30mm bolts.
    I didn’t bother pulling the wheels as there was enough room after jacking up a bit.
    I’ll give these a try, but I wouldn’t be surprised if I buy a different set for the front.

      I had the same problem with the wrong bolt shipped. I contacted Energy Suspension about it and told me send a copy of the box serial number so they can track the assembly line error for the bolts. It been week that I am told they sent out the correct bolt and I am still waiting.

    Great tip on the bump stops! Is there a minimum lift required to run the Energy Suspension front bump stops? I suppose it may be related to the height difference to stock bump stops?

    • @T4Rgarage
      @T4Rgarage  7 месяцев назад

      I have heard of people running them on a stock setup. They may touch and work sooner making your suspension a bit stiffer as it’s compresses. Because they are touching they may wear sooner but I cannot confirm that as I have not done it personally

    • @lifeofkan
      @lifeofkan 6 месяцев назад +2

      They’ll touch sooner but it’s soft, so the dead stop is roughly the same.
      Key here isn’t the lift itself, but rather your shock’s collapsed length; It’s the job of the shocks to control motion, not the bump stops. The bump stop’s job is to protect the shock bottoming out and blowing into two pieces, hence why the collapse length is what you need to be looking at, not the lift. I can have the same shock, lift it 1”, 2”, or 3”, my collapse length would still be the same.
      It’ll work for stock setup, and lifted trucks provided the shock collapse length is less than ~17 1/8”.

    there is no reason to overpay for bump stops. ES bump stops are easy to extend by adding a spacer if you need to extend them for whatever reason. In this day and age there is always a sucker willing to pay 300 dollars for a piece of rubber and some stickers. This mod (energy suspension) is legit.

      They are longer but they are also much softer. I think they can work for both lifted and stock vehicles. My wheels were tucked in pretty far before they engaged, but like lots of articulation and I only have 33. For a lifted vehicle with larger tires you might want even longer bump stocks.
