The Marsh Fots - Can't Fight The Maringouin (Cajun Viking Records)

Cajun Viking Records signed this group in 2022. They were discovered down in Cut-Off, Louisiana. When our scout happened upon them, they were doing exactly what you see on the album cover - standing in the marsh, watching him change his flat tire, and getting torn apart by mosquitoes, or as we Cajuns call them, "maringouins". When he was finished, they asked if he needed any help. Obviously aggravated, he answered, "Sure. Can you get these damn mosquitoes off of me?". They told him there's nothing anyone can do about mosquitoes, then handed him a demo of this song. The rest is history.
