Bait it first! Bait it first! Bait it first! Bait it first! Bait it first! Bait it first! Bait it first! NEVER take a chance by baiting a trap that is under tension. No, I did not take a chance. I need my fingers. I use them every day.
Trust me this trap works. It is slightly dangerous for those who tend not to pay close attention to what they're doing, but it is a great trap. I use it daily to protect my pool enclosure. The critters love to go up and down the screen wire.
Top notch product! I've had one 4 years and it has taken care of countless rodents that otherwise terrorize the fruits and vegetables in the garden. Would recommend to anyone looking to deal with a squirrel and rat problem. Just make sure to spray paint the tube trap if you get the standard one as it will rust fast otherwise if it gets wet at all.
My tube trap has been set off several times by a raccoon messing around at night (didn’t trap him). The strike bar has now been bent to the point when it won’t latch anymore. Do I have to take the trap part to bend the strike bar back? Of not, how do I go about it?
Between August 17, 2022, and June 17, 2023, I trapped and ate 40 delicious squirrels - thanks to the WCS tube trap. I watched most of the kills via motion-sensor camera. Here’s what I’ve learned: Squirrels often miss the trigger plate if it is parallel with the strike bar. So, practice setting the trap so that the trigger plate is raised higher than the strike bar. Here, the squirrels will hit the elevated trigger every time. -- JodyTuckerDotCom | June 18, 2023 Reply

This video would be better if we could actually see what how you are setting the trap. A close up not covered by your ahnds would be nice

Great trap!! I finally got the pesky squirrel that’s been getting to my bird feeder!

I'll be buying one of these soon. Excellent place to get traps and supplies! Fast shipping too!
Might try one of those..
This video stinks. You need a close-up view of arming the trap. I can't see what the hell is going on.
It set similar to a foot hold trap. There are numerous videos on youtube on how to set them.
Where can I get the "Lever Setter" (1:46), don't see it on your website. Thx.

I set a camera near the trap and have seen numerous squirrels simply walk through the tube somehow missing the trigger plate. Any tips?

@@JodyTuckerDotCom What kind of bait do you use to trap the squirrels?
@@cdgregOG, I use simple de-shelled pecans or walnuts.
@@JodyTuckerDotCom thank you
How do you adjust the sensitivity of the plate?

Do birds like to go in there? I'm trying to find a bird proof trap. So disheartening to catch birds.
