I'm craving strawberry shortcake so I've watched three videos tonight to get ideas. This is the one I'll make tomorrow with its a simple procedure to make the shortcake and with the first layer on the shortcake being the strawberries with the juices so they can get into the nooks and crannies of the shortcake. So yum!
You will enjoy it this way I promise. I had this at a luncheon and it was the best strawberry short cake I have ever had. I will make this, this weekend.
I made it today, cut the recipe in half, and it was yummy! Made 6, and had the best strawberry shortcake (with vanilla ice cream instead of whipped cream) and will eat a couple more tomorrow the same way. Was as beautiful as it was delicious!

How do you make the whipped cream? I used Redi Whip .
Heavy cream, powdered sugar and a dash of vanilla. Redi whip is disgusting, almost as bad as cool whip.
