I’m super duper excited because a long time ago I had a black lady friend show me how she did this kind of hair style, or maintained it rather, and now years later I finally find out what they are called! I tried it with my hair, and since I don’t have this kind of hair, we’ll let’s just say it did NOT work. 😅

The loctician will make them as small
As your hair can handle. When you go for a consultation they will put test locs in your hair to see how well or not well the locs hold up. The loc size that shows the least stress is the loc size the loctician will go with.

I am asking because I am getting sisterlocks in April and I see that most people just wash their hair the day before and then go to the appointment after their hair has air dried. My hair does terribly with being air dried . It is a very dry, crinkly , crunchy, tangled and brittle mess . The strands fuse together almost and get really crunchy and brittle. I don’t believe this will be any good for installation whatsoever
