The main exception are the indigenous reserves up north but by textbook definition, there are no true “hoods” or “ghettos” in large Canadian cities
There's no such thing as "true hoods" that makes it seem like it's a badge of honour... There's just areas that are a lot more run down and neglected. Yeah…the high rises look like areas of Queens. J&F is stupid far from downtown. I think they just improved public transit to the area-used to take well over a hour to reach from Parkdale. Most of these huge complex’s are “garden style” meaning the developments do not face the streets and it’s all internal, maze like with only one or two small streets connected to the road. Also, Ontario has mixed income neighborhoods…meaning it was intentional to build nice suburban homes next to bland Soviet style Ontario housing.

Shout out to the Farm. Good brothers over here
Canada is like bizarro world U.S
This will become Baltimore in 2026 if Trudeau wins another term.
spinnin the block is crazzy
I can't help but to think of Drake whenever it's a video of Toronto . I'm not a Drake fan in the slightest bit .
im from england but i still know drake has nothing toronto about him. he used to pay a gang from scarborough just to pretend to know him haha. the g way galloway boyz
This country is becoming india now
Used to live in that apartment complex towards the end around 06-07 back when I was in grade 6
"The Oaks"? Hah wow. Any OG knows this place as Palisades.
That's chalkfarm....
Toronto’s softest hood in Canada
Hardly any litter compared to some of the streets in America
In the country I grew up in it would be considered a desirable neighbourhood to move in with your family :D
North End Winnipeg is wayyyy worse than anything in toronto 😂
Chalkfarm Drive was a sh#thole back 25 years ago....looks like it's held onto its reputation!
Charlie if youre still in town id love to meet you! I live close by :)
I had some wild times all around here before I got my shit together.
Jane and finch shootings are gangsters trying to kill each other but they aren't known for their marksmanship so they do hit alot of innocent bystanders
This neighborhood is equivalent to Harlem in New York.
Paterson NJ is worse, and Paterson isn’t even one of the worse hoods in America.
Wtf is Patterson NJ? 😂
@@universalconquest4447 exactly. Wtf is it, and it’s worse.
@@MrToni0914 Yes bro, America is super dangerous and gangster. This morning I drove my Tesla to get my Starbucks coffee and luckily I didn't get kidnapped. I got home just in time to watch America's favorite gangster Ice Cube on the Disney Channel.
@@universalconquest4447 ok lol. I said the comment because I felt that those guys were over doing it. They were trying to hard to be tough.

Canada is Native American country, not genocide folks
Y'all spoiled in Canada. Y'all just don't u understand how good d y'all got it compared to the people in the States
It looks a lot cleaner there than in all these US cities.
Canadians know how to put their rubbish in the bin 06:00
Where’s the sandwich towne Windsor
I used to work in that area. Its not that bad, as they think..
All nice cars
0:56 family hugging. Toronto hoods aren't so scary.
because there’s a family hugging? u kids are funny
don be fooled this is where most of Torontos high crimes happen, the shootings , drug dealins and such.. ive never been there but when theres crime in Toronto which there usually is it happens mostly in this area..
you can play hopscotch down varna drive
Welcome 🙏
Go to o’block already
cheerz!
Toronto ain't been relevant since Degrassi went off the air 🤣
hoods? houses start at 2 mill...
Not up top where he is
Same in cali
What does that have to do with this video. Where did you see houses in this video? Toronto’s hoods are apartment and townhouse complexes. Not houses… if you wanna see abandoned, burnt out, and boarded up houses like how you’d see on the States, go to the Prairies (Winnipeg, Regina and Saskatoon)
@@tdotsblessing oh, I'm sorry 2 mill town houses.
@@tdotsblessing oh, Jane and finch condos.. start at 1.6 mill too
There’s black people in Canada ?
bro never heard of caribana?
cmon what kind of question is that obviously. are you serious ?
yes theres over 1.5 million black people in canada
Way over a million, in fact Montreal got the third largest haitian population in North America after Miami and NY.
lol this guy probably never left Branson Missouri
real hood shit
Yoo, come to my crib for a smoke dwag lol
I could see that. Almost looks like a weed run. 😂
Carrying a concealed hand gun in Canada is illegal, nowhere up there is particularly dangerous.
'Ladies and Gentlemen welcome to the 'Gun Capital'..erm Illegal Gun Capital of Canada. Ever hear the phrase 'black on black'....that applies perfectly lol!
Canada has the same problem like most countries in the Americas, Us guns that they think they have to own finding their way Into other countries, the us needs to be punished for their negligence, other countries need to sue the US government.
Too many mexicans in this area
If want REAL hoods, go to Brazil man
Brazil is soft bruh...
Brockton ma now!
Compton street in Kingston would be considered a hood i guess.
No. Lol…it’s not.
I know it’s supposed to be Dangerous but it looks kinda scenic in a weird way I don’t know maybe it’s just because the weathers nice but streets look clean nice parks greenery trees
It’s not dangerous at all
@@Asaru_frm023Who are you to say what it is? From 2009-2018 this area saw 703 shooting incidents. For a country where gun are supposed to be heavily restricted that’s a lot of gunfire to hear at night
@@kiddo7711 dude is an idiot
There ya go! The OG Toronto Hood
OG hood is probably Regent Park.
@@chanthaburigems Yes, thats true!
Looks very safe and clean compared to any other hood ina states, on bro
the nicest hood ive ever seen
this could pass for a decent neighborhood in montreal
Diversity
lol have you seen the hoods in the US inner cities? This place would be paradise
Hell, looks cleaner than the Bronx, NY.
These are not the Canadian traps lol looks plush
Does not look plush at all. These look a lot like the high rise apartment projects you’d see in NYC.
Also, Ontario has mixed income neighborhoods…meaning it was intentional to build nice suburban homes next to bland Soviet style Ontario housing.
when you see video's of those youths "the mean streets of toronto fam, zeen me!" this is what there talking about lol Mind you it can get messy here but NOTHING like american ghettos.
Canada dont got no damn hoods
Wakanda land😂
Canada aint even bad
Nice and i got kicked out of Canada and drake k allday
Look like europe haha
Yes a mixture between Europe and United states id say
I smell 🧢🧢🧢🧢🧢🧢🧢🧢🧢🧢
Well he's obviously there, so it ain't cap...
@@KardiFan2000 That it's a hood doesn't seem very hood lol
@@ApersonHuman The whole block might not be boarded up, like most American hoods, but shootings and murders happen there all the time...since the 70s/80s.
@@KardiFan2000 I thought guns were illegal in Canada?
@@ApersonHuman They're only legal to use if you have a firearm license or if you're shooting at a range, but conceal carry is illegal. The guns on the street are mostly smuggled from the US, but some are stolen locally from legal gun owners.
