Before this next release from World Domination 2 popped off, some fans had predicted it to be a mismatch. Who could blame them? Rone, the Grind Time veteran and Philadelphia native who had been killing the circuit for the past two years, was eager to make his KOTD debut and considered one of the best in the world. Nils M Skils, the Norwegian playing as the away team, was participating in his first ever solo battle in English, with only a pair of albeit highly impressive 2 on 2s to his name. No one could be faulted for imagining the outcome to be a little one sided. Except Nils hadn't made the trip for a vacation. Firing off in one of the most impressive combinations of foreign debuts in KOTD history, Nils and Rone went back and forth for all three rounds in this heated affair that was without question the most difficult decision of the entire weekend. Will Rone assert his dominance, or does Nils have it in him to pull off the major upset?

This battle is so sick.
At the start, the crowd fully just showed appreciation for someone rapping that well in their second language and slept on him and he came across as nervous because of his laid back delivery and approach. But then he went Beast on Rone. No one expected that.
Watching this in 2019, and i can confirm the first judge's prediction, Nils kills everyone in his native tounge. He's known as the godfather of norwegian battle rap.
watched this back in like '12 prolly but it's still so dope I can come back and watch it and enjoy it as much as I did the first time. Nils highly underrated

Rone is incredibly polished in this battle. The fact that it went to a 3-2 decision when Nils had an untouchable amount and quality of rebuttles, shows how much of a classic battle this is.

This was definitely one of the best battles of the event! Rone brought it, but Nils was way too creative. That "under a strobe light" line from the 2v2 with Okwerds and Dizaster was clever.

I'm a huge Rone fan but Nils was amazing especially for a guy who doesn't speak English as a first language. His Anti-America verse was insane and the American judges in the background were in awe.....

Props to Nils for learning an entirely new language, stepping out of his home and battling Rone. He held his own, don't get me wrong, but I think Rone took it. Now he really needs to battle Charron, that'd surely be a classic.

NViken Mandi Franks He left for a couple reasons. He wanted to progress his music career further and saw rap battling couldn't do that and only held it up. Then come in his personal principles as a person, he just didn't like some of the disrespectful terms and insults used in battle rap because it didn't suit himself as a person anymore to say these things. That's pretty much it. I saw a whole interview on RUclips about this and you can find them on his RUclips page in a playlist. I probably left out some things but that's basically it.
After watching this battle multiple times, I have it Ron 2-1. His delivery is too amazing, despite Nils genius improv.
