World Cup is overrated, a competition that has Klose as top scorer does not deserve respect. Real Madrid 2018 would easily beat France 2018. This German team was the best ever. They won Portugal of CR7, they won France, they humiliated Brazil away and they won Messi's Argentina...for me Schweinsteiger was the spirit of the team. Congrats to Germany from a greek supporter of Germany since 1990.

This was by far one of the most glorious World Cup wins of all times. Beating France, Brazil and Argentina, and all this in Brazil: respect! Germany and Brazil play in their own league.

The interviewer was very arrogant and asked if the German players were serious to play so badly against Algeria.

I am Brazilian and it is impossible not recognize the so easy and magic way that Germany plays. We were smashed by German team. Our team did not know to deal with a so huge pression playing in our own house and Germany won us of an overwhelmingle way.

Beste Atmospäre und WM war für mich 2006.
Wir stellen die WM nur über die in unserem Land wegen dem WM Sieg und dem 7 zu 1.
Aber ich werde nie vergessen, wie die Stimmung bei uns 2006 war. Alles in schwarz rot gold, diese Vorfreude, das gute Wetter, die Fanmeile, auch irgendwie ein wenig flächendeckender Patriotismus. Wir Deutschen neigen dazu, dass keiner was mit Leuten zu tun haben will, die man nicht kennt. Aber da waren wir irgendwie einfach alle eins und zwar Fans des deutschen Fussballs und das hat uns irgendwie alle miteinander verbunden.
Das ist bisher aus meiner Sicht mit nichts zu vergleichen!
Bei den anderen beiden Punkten gebe ich dir fast recht, wobei die Mannschaft von 1974 auch eine absolute Klasse zu der Zeit war.

Aber wir waren bspw. 1954 nicht dabei (gehe ich von aus ;) ), beim Wunder von Bern. daher kann man nicht objektiv sagen, welche WM die beste war. Für mich steht aber eines fest: 2006 war besser als 2014, weil die WM im eigenen Land ein ganz neues Erlebnis des Lebens war. Und das kann ich sagen, bin ich damals doch gerade frisch 8 Jahre alt geworden .Man hat selbst als Achtjähriger gemerkt, dass etwas "Packendes" umhertrieb; eine völlig neue Lebenserfahrung und eine Form des gesellschaftlichen Zusammenhalts, den man nicht kannte (und der, m.E., seitdem auch nie mehr (annähernd) dieses Maß erreichte).
Vor 16 Jahren. Ich trauere der Zeit hinterher! 2014, ich war damals in einem Hotel am Berliner Ku'damm, und die Party ging ab. Dennoch war es nicht so ein besonderes Feeling in der gesellschaftlichen Gesamtstimmung, wie 2006. Und bei der bevorstehenden WM in Qatar sehe ich, dass sie alles andere als ein Sommermärchen wird. Selbst wenn Deutschland gewinnen sollte, wird es einfach nicht das Gleiche sein, wie 2014. Und erst recht nicht, wie 2006.

2014 war das für mich ein Jahr des Untergangs meine Frau hat mich verlassen und Deutschland wurde auch noch Weltmeister ich war gar nicht mehr feiern und als ich dann noch erfahren habe dass meine Frau mit meinem besten Kumpel rumgehurt hat dann war es völlig aus und dieses Dreckschwein von Sven K hat noch mit mir das Spiel geguckt nachdem ich es erst dann erfahren habe manchmal wäre man froh wenn man einen Waffenschein hätte und eine PPK Walther in dieser Zeit aber auch Zeit heilen Wunden aber die Narben bleiben und dieses Dreckschwein läuft immer noch draußen rum und hat es genauso mit anderen gemacht wie mit mir und jetzt kommst du du Kameradenschwein

Das Ding von Götze am Ende lässt mich immer noch extreme Gänsehaut bekommen und sehr demütig auf diese deutsche Mannschaft zurückblicken. Was war das bitte für eine Weltklasse Mannschaft. Diese WM wird Milliarden Menschen auf immer im Gedächtnis bleiben, allein schon wegen des Brasilien Spiels.

Es war nicht nur 2014, sondern 2006-2014, die unbändige Motivation den Titel zu holen in diesen Jahren war fantastisch.
genauso seh ich das auch. Sie hätten 3 Titel in Folge gewinnen können, sie sind gewachsen und haben sich gekrönt. Jetzt ist eine neue Generation und Ära dran und auch diese wird wieder wachsen und für tolle Momente sorgen.

I watched every game of this World Cup run for Germany, expect for the game on the 4th of July. I had a baseball game that day. But from what I remember that was their most boring game so I didn't miss much haha. Just a Hummels header. They destroyed Portugal, exciting draw with Ghana, and beat the USA with a lot of emotion because of their former coach on the opposing team. They went to extra time with Algeria winning 2-1, destroyed Brazil, and beat Argentina 1-0 for the title. So I picked the right game to miss. I also picked Germany to win the World Cup in 2010 but came up short in the Semi-finals to the eventual champion. 2006 same thing happen, so the 2014 World Cup was due to happen the Germans were craving that fourth title!!
I also misst the game of the 4th of July. It was the first day of my vacation at Atlanta and I went shopping with my parents at a mall. The Final match against Argentinia I watched in Orlando. It was very nice. After the match we went to the beach with our Germany jerseys on. We also got very nice pictures and videos from our hometown in Germany where they were celebrating the title. In general it was a world cup which I will never forget! :)
Still sad for 2010. You just had to admit that Germany failed to beat Italy in 90 minutes but didn't stand a chance in overtime. Too much respect for a Spanish team who weren't that strong during the world cup determined the Spanish victory in that match. In 2014 they finally rewarded themselves and this year they might be able to repeat that but despite the fact that Italy and the Netherlands won't join the competition it's going to be harder than ever.
Portugal won their first title ever in 2016, Spain is always hard to beat lately, Belgium have brilliant offensive power, Brazil is not Brazil of 2014, same for Argentina and France is probably the most talented team in the world.

Nach der Euro2020 Pleite war es mal wieder schön diese einzig wahre Deutsche Mannschaft in dem Best of zu erleben. Jahrtausend Team. Alleine wie niemand dort egoistisch spielt und immer wieder die Bälle zum Mitspieler spielt damit er nochmal 10% bessere Chance hat den zu machen. Heutzutage wird das immer alleine gelöst aber da hast du richtig gesehen was Teamgeist ist. Einfach Gänsehaut Pur diese Mannschaft. Wir hatten nicht die technisch versierten Spieler wir hatten nicht die schnellsten Spieler aber wir hatten den besten Charakter und das beste Zusammenspiel eines Teams was überhaupt geht. Niemals Aufgegeben. Hoffe wir finden auch nur annähernd eines Tages zu diesem Spirit zurück. Danke nochmal
