You can deal with people like Strickland in two ways. 1. Be very kind and complementative towards them or 2. Say a scathing lie about them that you know is a lie.
He's talking as if it's his fighting everybody is hating on, nobody is saying anything about him as a fighter in fact he is pretty impressive. But he's the type of person I would be careful of be-friending, I couldn't trust him, he tried to ruin a former veteran Neil Magney's name and image by twisting a narrative completely falsely and dragging the lie to destroy his character. He's able to fish out shameful acts but can't take it back when karma reflects itself to him.
