    Good morning Eric. You will always get some people that want to get on you about this and that on the farm. From what i have seen on your videos, you are a very responsible farmer and do what is safe. As always, great video. Hoping the sore throat goes away very soon.

    Another great video of a work day on your dairy farm. The cows look happy and contented in the barns. Its great to see you are spending the money to re-groove the alleyways to keep the cows safe from slipping over. Chris from Victoria, Australia.

    Cows are so curious when it comes to things that intrigue them, like your camera. I can understand what your saying about folks commenting about concerns with the herbicide, not a fan of it either. But hey, sometimes a farmer has to take so action to fix a problem. Anyways, I hope it all goes well for you, and I hope you have a great weekend.

    How often do these cows have their feet trimmed? Are you checking for unusual marks and wear every time they come into the milking parlor? How often does trimming happen once spring/summer rolls around and they spend more time in the grass?
    Seems like your dairy farm runs really well being the size that it is, how many part time or volunteer people do you have when it’s super busy? You should make an aerial map of the farm so we can see what’s where and how everything rotates, animals and crops and equipment. Other videos show their farms and I’d have to say, I’d love to be a cow at your farm, not so much on others, unless it’s in Idaho! Can’t beat those Mountain Views.

    • @MellowYe77ow
      @MellowYe77ow Год назад

      Their hired hoof trimmer comes to the farm about once per month. On their farm, they have each cow's hooves trimmed about once per year, so they do a small batch of cows each month throughout the year. They also look for any cows with sore hooves, and take care of them, if needed.

    I very much admire all your hard work and the sheer amount of knowledge and skills that you have to have as a farmer... but I can't eat the food you produce because of the glyphosate. It literally makes me ill within hours of eating something that was sprayed with it (wheat, oats,) or any meat or dairy from animals that were fed food that was "roundup-ready". And I don't buy it for my family, either.
