Not surprised - in all her performances - either in a closed studio production like this video, or in front of a full blown live orchestra on a outdoor festival stage, she just walks right on, doesn't miss a beat finding her spot, and invariably nails it on the very first note, no matter how difficult - it's stunning craftsmanship

My big sister was listening to her in the late 60s. I was much younger, but noticed something special in her voice and the songs written for her. She sang songs that many singers today could not pull off due to the harmonic content and floating/changing time signatures. Absolutely brilliant. 🙏🏾👏🏾❤️
Here we see Dionne laying the ground work for that poise and grace of performing that Whitney Houston would later adopt as well. The walk, the gestures, the coolness of effortless glamour!

Dionne Warwick is celebrating her 81 birthday today, December 12, 2021 She was born in Orange, New Jersey on December 12, 1940. And Miss Dionne Warwick was an Overnight Sensation in her Younger Years
A voice of perfection! I listened to her songs way back when you could understand what was being song!😊
Over here in the UK, we had an evening of her work on one of our major channels on Friday last. I am an unavowed metal-head but was blown away with the quality of her voice. Genius. xx
She defined an era.
She was so young here. This was so long ago but what a great time this was for music and the youth culture.
Dionne's voice conveyed such romance and mystic beauty.
Dionne sang verses with such intimacy and softness. Towards the end she cranks it up for intensity. Gold.
For me Dionne's version is the best as she makes me feel the hurt a person in such a situation would have.
Beautiful and soulful. Which music of today is lacking.
Only once in a generation do we have the privilege to experience an incredible artist as Miss Dionne Warwick. A truly, a legendary voice.
