What makes the lore in VTM (and even worse in the World of Darkness) very difficult is the fact that many of the books contradict other books. This is usually explained by points of view. For example, clan books are from the perspective of someone from that clan. Even worse are the cuts made in VTM5 now, after Paradox bought White Wolf and what followed (longer story but worth a read). In very short some clanbooks received too much critique & bad press because they got too extreme. So they cleaned VTM up, by many harsh changes which would be really hard to explain within the old lore. Like what happened to the Tremere pyramid & their mainchantry; including the reincarnation of the previously completely wiped House of Goatrix. Or the creation of Hecata; where the (also before almost completely wiped) Cappadocians let themself now be ruled by those who wiped them, the Giovanni. Or the complete removal of the Baali from the game. Or anything what happened to the Sabbat - and so much more..
I've always found the best part of VTM to be precisely the fact that we have a different story for each point of view. I always felt like a historian, creating my own theory of things.
Given that it's a role play game, I find the ambiguity in everything to be a good thing. The truth is not the same from game to game, only what your storyteller has decided is true, and thus meta knowledge has limits even amounts veteran players.

2:26 "Abel's murder at Cain's hands - the true motive was never revealed" - Come to think of it, it's like that psychpathy test: Why did Cain made his brother into a human sacrifice, although he loved his brother? He saw how Abel sacrificed his lambs (which Abel loved) and saw Abel was gratified by god for this. And like the psychopath Cain was (not unlike a modern A.I.), he thought: What beats sacrificing lambs? Humans! God will bless me even more for this! (It's funny how Abraham wasn't made into a vampire, after trying to sacrifice his own son to god. Probably because god requested it from Abraham and Abraham suffered mentally while trying to kill his son, while Cain just thought it was the obvious and common sense thing to do, to sacrifice Abel. So someone born without a conscience is made into a vampire who feeds off of people's life forces. That's basically the closest metaphor to what psychopaths do in real life.
The worst/best part is that caine is still completely, 100% certain that he was in the right and that God is merely holding out on him, or wronged him in some way. It states in some setting books that it's even possible that if he even felt a single grain of doubt for his actions, he'd be instantly forgiven and ascend to heaven. But that hasn't happened yet, either because it isn't true, or perhaps even more interesting; it is, and caine is some Cosmic Joke until he realizes he's a dumbass. I do enjoy one of the concepts that same said books posit, that Abel became the first Wraith, and could appear in a campaign to forgive him.

Bruva alfabusa has sent me to learn
Praise the Big E...or Big D...or whatever he's calling himself.
Also how does the elements of werewolf lore such as gaia, weaver and wyrm tie into this? are they aspects of god? or were they before?
The two exist together, but in opposition.
Attempting to merge the two... would be Abomination. 😁😉
The oldest lore I found about a werewolf
Was a greek king being cursed by a gos to become a werewolf/lycantrope
And then there are many lores on how to become one, intentional or by accident
1. By drinking from a pool a werewolf drank recently
2. As a woman you could be punished to become werewolf in the dark ages.
3. By wearing werewolf skin, like cape or belt, will transform you
American Indians call them skinwalkers
4. Being attacked by a werewolf and survive or reincarnate (with amnesia).
@@MaleusMaleficarum what if they did as being a mk ultra project?
You keep seeing in fiction they try to make vampire babies.
And somehow
Need the power of the werewolf.
Before they were angellike beings
Some say
And then one day they were taken over
By a bigger consiousness? Making them sub to it?
They communicate by projecting theirselfs in this world, they are orbs. And are unable to communicate by words in dreams, but telepathy
So when one never uses its mouth in your dream
You can bet it is a vampire.
I ❤️ Vampires. Thank you very Much 😇🙏
Great video just like the rest. I am sad that you lost your notes...twice! Are they hard copies or do you have them on the computer? If they are hard copies have you thought about digitizing them and putting them on something like the cloud or a hard drive?
Power outage and file corruption on both occasions. I typically save after I finish editing. A bad habit, but a habit nonetheless.
@@lazarofstygia2241 so you don't have autosave functions in the software you are using?
@@fastgav I use word, but the autosaves couldn't be recovered after the outages.
@@lazarofstygia2241 sorry to hear that. Have you ever thought about investing in a thumb drive or portable hard drive?
@@fastgav fastgav I save my audios and finished videos to an external drive
Would have been more interesting if there was at least one 2nd generation vampire still alive and in torpor.
According to a few sources, Enoch may have avoided final death.
Lilith got it on With GOD??????
Yes and it was the best She ever had.
Great video on the lore but i did have to take a double take on when this was uploaded. Havent seen this aspect ratio in forever lol
What we lack in production value, we make up for in detail.
@@lazarofstygia2241 Dont take that comment as a criticism it was a very good informative video it just threw me back a bit
1:40 to get to the point
Is it just me or is the thumbnail super creepy?!
Vampires are, at their root, blood-drinking abominations who mock life by their very existence.
They should at least be a little unsettling.
Vampire Redemption Music is UNSURPASED !

So when do we get the 9 part documentary of VTM
Would one part of that be dedicated to mentioning all of Lasombras many names
Need to watch this after seeing Hunter: the parenting.
Can we please have a 9 part series?
Did Cain and the 2nd generation not suffer from the thirst for their creations blood or did they just not live long enough to experience the problem?
cain is still alive
It's a combination of time, humanity, and feeding habits.
Old, low humanity vamps and diablerists are more likely to succumb to the thirst of ages than Golcondans.
@@lazarofstygia2241 would you or would you not diablerize your sire for power?
So, is it all a punishment for a manslaughter
Thank you.😊
Great thumbnail
I've known people who actually believe this is all actually 100% real
Why is there not a remaster of Vampire: The Masquerade - Redemption? 😭😭😭
I suspect it's because Paradox hates honest money.
✨
You didn’t loose notes, the camarilla stole it to prevent you breaking the masquerade
Brujah ... "Broo-hah" :p

Odoacer was a Germanic commander/mercenary of Rome. It would be more like Blackwater/Xe overthrowing the U.S. government.
Amazing Job
I BELIVE ADAM VAS A MAGE. CUS LUCIFER AWAKEND HIM.
It is a possibility. If Adam cursed Caine then he had some kind of power.
For oWoD or gWoD? I'd hate to watch two hours of lore just to find out that it's for nuMasquerade.
OWOD.

May I post your videos on my Pinterest board?
Go ahead.
Followers of set believe that the Egyptian god set from mythology is their true father caine is a false god
I need the source of the background music
Pretty good
I only skipped as I know the general history more safely, but no doubt well made. Just: what is the symbol at the beginnin? never seen. like an ur-ankh or something?
It is the crux ansata/ankh variant White Wolf used for the first incarnation of Dark Ages Vampire.
@@lazarofstygia2241 ah cool, thx for the info
7:34 why is this music it’s fucking banging
A lot of vampire stories are of religion
Go this 'God' released a weapon that feeds solely on the lifes blood of his beloved people.
But
It’s God who Curse Cain
Not his father Adam
According to Noddists, Caine was initially cursed by Adam to wander the Earth. It wasn't until Lillith tried to awaken him and subvert his father's curse that Caine was then cursed by God (through the Archangels) and changed into the first vampire.
Can you link the thumbnail pls
this better be v20 and not 5th
