    Awesome review Matt!
Would be cool to see some sabfoil comparative as well.

I kite my 120+25 and it doesn’t hum, so it’s definitely a tuning thing. A couple guys I know have lift masts that make a lot of noise, which need tuning

Do you think I can learn to hydrofoil on the 120HA+25, with a kite? Been kiting with a surfboard for a few years.

@@Joller7 No, don't do it! Don't torture yourself. First off, you're going to fall on your foil as you learn, get something low aspect like the 170. Also, this thing is super squirrelly... You'll love it 6mo in, but don't learn on it. Good luck!!

Great review again!! About the lift 120 HA, how much forward do you put the mast comparing to the lift 170 HA?

925 is honestly my go-to. The 1125 is a little too slow and difficult to turn in the surf. It pumps forever, loves to stay stable and go straight, which is a pain in the ass when you want to turn.
I have a 725 and it's ridiculously fast. The stall speed seems to be just below what feels like 30mph (exaggerating). The 725 is super fast and easy to pump, until it's not. You get below a certain speed and it just can't recover and begins to stall out. It shreds turns and it's super loose.
But the 925, pumps effortless. Carves wonderfully. Has enough top end speed to make any section you want. Not overpowered in the surf. You can recover at lower speeds. But it's still a high aspect and you have to stay fast to keep it up.
I surf 1-3' waves so very very small and the 925 is my favorite. 1125 is fun to pump forever but is tricky to handle in powerful waves or sections.

Awesome! Have you tried winging with the 925?

You gotta test the HA925 with the V-tail man! Don't you think that HS232 tail is adding drag and holding it back?

The 232v2 has way less drag than v1. It pumps better than the FV too. I switch them up depending on the conditions. Also at +1 on her 232v1 it is pretty quick.

I have been riding the 925 with the FV all week and it is nuts. I had it set with the .5 shim at first then went straight to the fuse no shim and that really litt it up!! So crisp on the turns and not loosing much on the pump over the 232 v2. Thanks for the push! 🤙

Great comparison. What length mast were you riding for both?

Great Review/Comparison - I assume you were Jet Ski Tow Assisted for launches to save time. How do these Foils compare for ProneSurf Wave starts?

    • @REALmattnuzzo
      @REALmattnuzzo 3 года назад +4

Nope. No jet ski, just classic prone paddle in. Both actually do surprisingly well on prone take offs even in small waves. If it gets too steep it can be a little tricky but normal foil waves are no problem.🤙

For Kitefoiling can you compare a HS 1050 or HS 850 to a HA 925? Assuming a 85 cm mast, a 60 cm fuselage and a 232 tail.

Does the HA925 require a board with more forward track space availability (i.e., an Armstrong FG board)? To balance the foil using my HA1125, I'm already pegged forward on my current board.

I ride the 925 and 1125 in the same position on the mast. You can also flip the front screws on the foil to get an extra 2cm if you need it.

Out of curiosity what length boards were you both on.

Both boards are Armstrong FG 4’5. One is production and one is a proto.
