It is worth noting that weapons with "venomous strike" and additional "toxin damage" stats simultaneously such as the Poisoned Hetakarri Blade, have some strong interaction with the Executioner ability "Forced Repentance". I am guessing this is similar to how the burning damage from Orchestrated Flame also procs Forced Repentance, Hekatarri Blade when used on a poisoned target, will proc its toxin damage twice, once for the inherent venomous strike, another for the additional toxin damage. This can be ridiculously strong once stacked up. I did this with the Dark Mechanicus Boss at the Kiava Grammar boss fight, he had a passive that stacks 10% of armour every time it receives an instance of damage and immune to Bleed. My character was able to kill this boss in a single round with blade dance, a chainsaw and a couple of death from above even tho it reaches like 400% armor and most damage I dealt was under a 90% reduction, you could stack Forced Repentance so high it basically no longer matters how much armor your target has.
Using blackhaze venom blade on exe kibellah. Getting some good milage. If you know you are going to carnival of misery you can have your RT light up and orchestrate flame on allies too
@@Revan619 I have run the blackhaze venom blade several times. I believe for attacks like "venomous strike" or "rending strike", you actually need the target to fail a toughness test in order to actually apply those effect. Most of the unfair level enemies have very high toughness and it would be difficult to apply those effects. This seems to make these weapons weaker when you have Hikattari blades that can apply those bleeds and toxxins reliably. Especially with Fine-edged Hikattari blades, you could proc bleeding 2 times per hit during the blade dance movements, and the crit damage of these dots it just ramps up very easily from 20 to 250 direct damage per proc around the third hits in the blade dance.
BTW Carnival of Misery IV does not care WHERE the DoT comes from, so you could use Cassias Lidless gaze with Daemon tool to ser the entire party ablaze, sure it will tank momentum but eh who cares, thats gonna max out easy enoug hanyhow.
How about picking the Carnival of Misery upgrade that immediately detonates DoT stacks? That can be pretty powerful, especially if you bring along Heinrix / Idira / Kibellah, and spec them into Executioners, so they can cast Carnival of Misery afterwards... I ran an Officer Noble and used the Inquisitor's Tenet ring to get +50 momentum at the beginning, then transfer my turn to Idira, then self-ignite + inflame + reckless abandon, and then Carnival of Misery. If that didn't clean up everything, I used Cassia with her Grand Strategist to give the second turn to Kibellah / Heinrix to do another Carnival of Misery (after Reckless Abandon). This build seems to be all of the above in a neat package, but I'm wondering if it's possible to just one-hit-kill everything without even moving :) The above strategy worked on Normal, but I won't foolishly assume that it would work the same way on Unfair...
Looking at the updated spreadsheet, what exactly is the purpose of Balancing on the Edge? Since Desperate Measures set Resolve to 0 and this build really benefits from high Resolve, isn't that a bit counterproductive?
Balancing on the edge allows for both low and high momentum heroic actions. Moreover it Gives 10 weapon skill and 3 resolve when you use the desperate measure which also applies a random trauma. Wounded beast gives +5 agility and willpower per injury (15 per trauma) combined with facing the end which gives +3 weapon skill and agility per injury with +10 for every trauma. Dance partners enhances weapon score by agility. Death warden allows medicae to use weaponscore instead of intelligence and gives 5+medicae / 10% critical damage. Death waltz also applies agility to all damage and gives multiple charges of death from above. So they all tie in together to make the build beastly early game. Late game resolve from medicae stacking now doesnt come till level 50 due to them moving the DLC to later so you dont get voidborn's pride until the end of act 4. At that point you steam roll so hard you dont really use balancing on the edge but it doesnt change that it is still very powerful prior to act 3.
@@Revan619 I see yeah that makes sense. Another question would be, if I wanted to use a weapon like a Venom Blade, when would be the ideal time to divert from the normal build to spec into the xeno weapon Proficiency?
