I admit I was not a fan of these classes when they were announced by, man, was I wrong. They are both so well executed and an absolute blast to play. Owlcat hit it out of the park with these two. They might be a little too strong in some areas, but I'm really enjoying them while they last. Melee pyromancer/blade dancer/executioner has been really strong on my unfair grimdark run (so far... we'll see how far I get).
once Rogue Trader has released all their DLC, I will certainly return to make a Crime Lord Operator/Executioner for my canon story run unless the new sub-classes open up some potential as well. As much as making a new run per DLC is to keep up with each DLC, I feel that will only exhaust me from enjoying a playthrough each DLC expansion release.
@@stephenlewis6922 they announced the based dlc ends with the Adeptus Arbitus DLC which is the expected time for December average. Anything else after is going to be mostly if they consider continue support for the game.
IMO there is some kind of psyker ranged executioner build out there. The whole biomancer passive that poisons allow you to poison with psyker powers too and then the skill merciless verdict... There might be some kind of pyromancer/biomancer hit that inflicts burn and toxic with a operative/executioner probably using staffs, but no idea the details of how to make build like that work.
It does work, but the issue is how many times you can hit per turn. Due to Rogue Trader low time to kill, where it hurts (or scourging strker) are how you actually kill with dots in a single turn, and those require multiple attacks, something staff psykers can't do unless they are soldiers. And if they are soldier psykers master tactician giver WAY too many bonuses to be defeated. sure, there are TONS of fun tools, but at least to the point I tested a staff psyker, I.E. Idira, becomes better, but not a killing machine like an executioner blade dancer or warrior with a chainsaw.
@@Tentacl I understand but you can just not make your character a main dps, make him a support. He is already an operative anyway and biomancer has buff and healing. You can still do one attack and spend the rest of your ap buffing someone else. There is room for maybe int and wp on the build.
@@dilsoncamacho4100 Oh yeah, but as a support it will be too close to what, well, was ALWAYS the OP choice - officer grand strategist to setup Cassia for turn 0 kills. I wanted to play something diferent but actually powerful.
This is a nice complement to your Bladedancer vid. I see how things fit together, nice explanations. Now I just need to remember...for after DLC2 or so. Thanks!
The heal could be good. Blade dancer uses wounds to power abilities and bonuses. Plus theres a talent that boost your TGH 10+ per heal in 1 round. So heal over time could be powerful af.
I do like how they added a path for Abelard to be an Executioner if you wanted. I just wish that you could start out fights from a convo by saying "Abelard, make them bleed" when he is an executioner. But an entire team of Executioners seems kinda fun, bonus points for not using mercs.
Can you do a pro vs. cons comparing this game to WotR? I just don't have the patience to finish Wrath after many, many years. Not sure if this will be any different.
Executioner feels kinda of wired on paper at least. It seems like it was designed around Psyker, but I guess a bladedancer with toxic weapons could work as well. It just seems rather limiting i really can’t see it working with operator or warrior well and for that matter nonpsyker characters. Though I sure its damage is absolutely ridiculous when it is working. I guess it just really mad in attribute you want, while also being limit weapon choice.

I agree they are so much fun!
This run I’m making Pasqual an executioner. The flesh is weak and he knows how to chop it up.
Nice! That probably works very well.

Hopefully it’s in December as they started previously!
Yeah, I'm playing a pyromancer+blade dancer+assassin as a MC and Heirix and Idira as executioners, just loving the new builds.
If you wait for every DLC it's going to be like 5 years. Look how much support is given to WotW.

I forgot the next DLC is still supposed to be around the corner. Exciting stuff.

I am sure it's out there just doesn't feel like it would be particularly effective

Thanks!
Thanks glad you enjoyed it!
I made my newest Crime Lord a Bladedancer/Executioner. Dual blades wrecking havoc all over the battlefield it is just a satisfying experience.
Nice! That combo works really well!
It took me a bit to get excutioner mechanics, but now I just love it. Heinrix and Idira finally feel "right".
Yup it's awesome!
Gonna start this up this weekend! Hyped
Hope you enjoy it!

Awesome glad it was helpful!

I just don't have the patience to finish Wrath after many, many years. Not sure if this will be any different.
Hmmmm I never thought about it. I'll look into it thanks.
I use it on Heinrix and not Kibellah, feels more thematically appropriate. Give him pyromancy and woo boy.

I'll be releasing a Kibellah build soon that is Bladedancer/Executioner. Maybe that will help give you some ideas.
Yeah the skills other than recless abandon are odly bad. There are no oher classes where you would pick only one since the rest are no good.
I don't get it. How does Warrior benefits from Executioner? Warrior is not a Damage over time archetype
Warrior benefits specifically if you are a pyromancer setting yourself on fire.
@@SlanderedGaming So someone like Abelard won't benefit much as an Executioner?
