READ BEFORE ATTEMPTING TO ATTACH THE LEG KIT. When you attach the "Leg Kit" you must remove 4 screws in the middle of each side of the bracket to align the leg holes and then reinstall all 8 screws. These screws are made of "aluminum", and you will probably strip out the head of the screw. If you manage to get all 8 out before you mangle the head of the screws "Congregations"! Be prepared to replace all 8 screws with Stainless Steel #8 - 1/2" long. I also broke one screw head off leaving the threaded portion inside. I just predrilled another hole and used a #8 Self drilling screw to keep the bracket from wobbling.
HAHAHA lol, thanks for the heads up, but I use a flat screw driver to take those out, and not issue at all, take my time and slow and easy, the GRIDDLE is ready to use it! Also heads up a new video coming Up today! If you like to keep your stuff dry and clean, I have the perfect case for the Griddle and fits like a glove, and also you can mount it on your roof rack or bed rack!!! New video will UP today
Love mine! The only thing that I don’t like is its rather difficult locking the flat top back in place.

After playing around with the lock I realized that there is a spring underneath,so you need to push it up then it will lock in place,😀 I’m back in business.

Just put some petroleum jelly on the inside of the 4 leg slots, makes the legs go in and out easily.

If I'm not using it a ton will it be an issue? I see comments like this but no explanation.
The two reasons people dislike it is because it is an aluminum surface which doesn't saturate with heat quite as well, scratches much more easily and the fact that it is nonstick coated. It's not Teflon per se, but ceramic coated aluminum. The logic is that ang coated surface is generally the same thing, weather branded Teflon or other, its still "coated". It cant accept metal tools.
Now, it IS very lightweight, but built to a price point. I bought one a month ago and even after multiple warranty claims still cant get it working properly. It just feels like it wont last.
Im a strong proponent of the 17" Adventure ready for travel and camping, its just infinitely better constructed and wont have the same longevity issues over the long haul.
I think some people are under the belief that aluminum is a safety hazard causing Alzheimer’s disease. Supposedly new research shows no such link
How heavy is the legs?
I don’t have the specs but are not heavy at all, and also easy to carry and lift the griddle a little bit from the base, so better air flow plus protection
