On top of it we can add more to Edge Screen like notes, full size calendar etc, huge range of paid and free themes/icons, and color choices for notification panel. S23 Ultra nailed it all across the board!

The double and triple tap the back is so useful thank-you very much. Alot of youtubers give useless tips but these are all very helpful
That's what i have realized that no one really says much about the software on new phones. They only talk about the camera for 15 minutes.
These updates are Amazing. I've had Android/Samsung phones all my life and I thought I had heard of all the customizations, tips and tricks. You are by far hands down the best at bringing these to light. #android4life 😊

THANK YOU for this! Between this and your flip5 tips and tricks, I just went crazy customizing my new Flip5. Even when I had my Flip4, I didn't know we could do all this! (except for the edge panel...been using for years and could never live without it! 😊)

Can't believe how much customization is possible from OneUI! I was an EMUI user for 4 years and switching to a Samsung phone was a good choice!

@@th3_1mp0st3r the skin on Huawei phones. for example samsung phones have android but one ui skin on top and pixel phones have pixel experience on top of android 13.

I was thinking either getting the iphone 15 or the s23 ultra, but i couldnt decide due to liking the iphone's custom themes more. This opened my eyes as to how many possibilities they are on the ultra! Also that insane display with 4k videos as lock screen is a match made in heaven

Another cool feature on the Edge Panels are the Tools. Compass, Tally counter, Flashlight, Surface Level and Ruler. Very useful tools to add to your edge panel.

@@LipCandyBeautybyTrish I would suggest watching a lot of videos about switching. Soon samsung will offer everything Apple does except imessage. And they offer most everything now. Even FT. I love samsung just wish they would bring back expandable memory.
@@ljeans531, they removed expandable memory on their high-end models but still have it on their cheaper models.🤷🏼♂️ I got a Galaxy A23 5G when I ported over the first week of the year and it has expandable memory. It doesn't have FM Radio or home screen looping like Samsung phones used to have.🤦🏽♂️ I also don't care for how they have Settings arranged now. It wasn't broken so they fixed it and not for the better...

I'm moving from the Pixel 7 Pro to S23 Ultra, just waiting for it to get delivered. I was thinking I'm going to miss the back-tap because pixel has it but now I can see Samsung has it too! I also found out the S23 series have bypass charging which is super useful for gaming. I can't wait.
S23u has way more stuff not just the back tap ,im telling you the moment you starts using that you cant change your phone
you could done it with an app called tap tap (not the app store one)
I use my back tap for Samsung Pay, been using it for a while now

Got mine for over a week now and I can honestly tell you this thing is a major step up from the Note 20 Ultra
Now name one thing it can do that the Note 20U cannot? QHD @120hz? The improvements are minimal at best.
@@krane15 I always like to skip a generation but compared to the Note Ultra the quality of the pictures went a big step up. So has imo the brightness of the screen and the sound quality of the speakers. At the end of the day it's a cellphone but comparing to the note it is a different league. The speed and how snappy it feels is beyond comparison. The bump in performance has never felt this big and I started buying them since Galaxy (1)

On the other hand, the N20U was the last smartphone to offer a SD card slot. Giving the device a backup drive and up to 2tb of storage -- the most ever. Watch some of the comparison videos for even more proof.
But that's not to say that the S23 isn't a stellar product, it is. Its just not revolutionary from its predecessors. Like the jump to 5G (once it becomes fully functional), which is a true technological advancement.

I just got my new Galaxy S22 ultra today and I'm so excited I found this video 😅 my S22 ultra is the first galaxy phone I've had in a decade now & I can't wait to dive in! I'm upgrading for an LG G8X so it's a massive upgrade & will be my first 5G phone! ✌️
Loved some of these!! Especially edge lighting! And screen flash notifications. I used to have glitter one on my S10 before this and wasn't sure if it was still available on S23 when I upgraded this month. I used your color preference too for the screen notification bc it seems the smoothest/ least offsetting if that makes sense lol. But thanks for the great content! Now to figure out Good Lock haha.
I love the colour of that S22 Ultra. I wish they had the same colour available in the S23 Ultra instead of the drab olive/military green they have this year. A lot of people like it but I'm not too keen on it.

You can order from Samsung. They have online color exclusives. Like sky blue and red. I ordered the red myself. I forgot the other 2 colors.
@@PS3169 yeah I know about the Samsung online exclusive colours. Not really keen on any of them. I was hoping the "Red" would be a proper red like Ferrari Red or even a burgundy, but instead it's more of a sunset orange/burnt red.

Craziest part of OneUI is that you can go deeeeeep into customisation.

I'm genuinely impressed by how customisable One UI is. It's almost overwhelming at times. I really wish the likes of iPhone were this customizable.

As I grew older I am no longer that deep into customization the phone but that doesn't mean I'd choose other brands. I change what I want to change and keep the rest how it is. My favourite is possibility to change keyboard effects in keys cafe!
Its not simply a question of style, but some customization can be usable and practical, such as assigning custom ringtones to friends and family. Of course images are also possible, but more choices are better than fewer.

The issue I have with curved screen it is almost impossible to find a screen protector for it. Even if you do usually they don't cover edges and your finger hits the side of it. The expensive ones do cover it but don't last long.
that's the main reason I went for the s23+ instead of the ultra, coming from a note 10+.
