Low point is a great way to visualize the proper club/ground contact. I understand attack angle but working on low point is much more practical. Good job!
Thank you. Yes 100% low point is much easier to visualise for sure. Before low point you get a downward attack angle and after low point you get an upward attack angle 👍 as you say, much more practical ⛳️
Very thorough and well explained. Good simple shoulder thought to put into practice. Dream of eventually being able to consistently compress the ball. My wrists, forearms and local green keepers will greatly appreciate it.
Lol they definitely would 😂 Keep at it and you’ll get it. Got another good video on this topic in the next day or so. There’s no better feeling than compressing that golf ball ⛳️
Good video my friend. Explains in a simple way exactly why I hit fat shots and iron shots that, while being on the correct line, always end up short of the target. Basically I am not compressing the ball and now have something to work on. Thanks.
Thanks so much. Glad you enjoyed it 👍 it can be a frustrating golf shot but give these drills a go and it should really help. I aim to do more on this subject in future as it’s such a big problem for a lot of golfers 🏌️♂️
Thanks for the comment 🙏 certain times being a picker can be beneficial, for example if the ball is sitting up a little bit. Whereas the divot after is great from pretty much any situation, plus it massively improves ball flight. Hopefully the drills in this video will help you. Let me know 👍
Great video David, thank you. The low point brilliantly explained and makes sense when you are shown. I’ll be rewatching this and you’ll be with me on my next visit to the range 👍🏻
Thank you so much for your videos. I was in swing change hell before I found your channel and I finally feel comfortable and consistent with my ball striking
Hi David, really enjoying your instruction and I noticed that your lag was held much longer as a result of your low point exercise. All in all very impressive, thank you.
Hey Thomas that’s so much. Never a nice shot to be dealing with. Check out my video on the most destructive shot in golf. Got some nice drills in there on this very issue 👍
Another good video! and great explanation of low point. low point is a big thing I struggle with in my golf swing. Hopefully these drills will help me out. Thank you.
Love watching your videos mate. You explain everything very clear and simple! Hopefully following your videos I can achieve my goal of single figure handicap from 15 next year
Thanks, dave, I have practised practiced practised this drill and your driving drill and finally had a round today at castlereagh hills and shot a 79, felt it could have been better as used your chipping drill onto the green but hot very little runout. Keep up the good work looking forward to your next videos and drills especially the cheating the system drill 👍
Great video David, at some point would you please make a video explaining how to use an impact bag using your pivot, im all hands and arms and would like someone to explain how to use an impact bag more.
Hey there. Oh yes that’s a great idea. Impact bags are absolutely amazing but as you say it’s knowing what to do with it. I’ve got some great drills to do with it. Stay tuned 👌
As always, great one: So straight forward, you explained your points very cleary! I would be very much interested to see you apply the same principle of low point for the driver (low point AHEAD of the ball).
Another great and very helpful video. You have been more active on RUclips very well 💪🔥. Keep going!!! We are here to help you continue growing your channel and subscribers. Greetings 🫡 and blessings from “New England CT 🇺🇸”
Thanks Cesar, yes indeed I’ve really been enjoying RUclips, making the videos and helping people and the comments have been amazing. I appreciate you 🙏 and yes that’s you in the giveaway 💪 and don’t use the iPad lol 😂
Had a round yesterday on a very soft and spongey course. I was chunking more shots than usual and I hope that by watching this I will do away with these kinds of mishits.
I’m in the draw. Just one point, as you move your shoulder down and forward, your head appears to move forward. Is it okay for this to happen before you strike the ball?
Hey Malcolm great question. In the video what I am doing is some exaggerated moves which are required for golfers to make change. So this is the feel but in reality you’ll not move this far forward, but still try to. Does that make sense? Head should be pretty much on the golf ball and more behind the ball with a driver, more on that later.
It’s something I struggle with, so I’ll consciously try to make the shift forward and down with mu left shoulder, actually in a couple of hours time as I’m going out for a game.
All joking aside, I was nervous watching use the iPad instead of a towel , it’s a drill I absolutely hate because I hit the towel 9- times out of 10 . Mainly because of my early release issues ! But I’ll give that left shoulder tip a go tomorrow, using a towel no my iPad 😂
Lol yes definitely not the iPad 😂 give it a go and remember from the compress the ball video the angle in the right wrist and the elbow in front. Might hit a few funky ones first off but stick at it. Tie it all together and BOOM.
Yes Brian it’s such a frustrating shot, if you toe or heel a bit it’s grenerally ok but hitting the ground first just can’t work. Hopefully these drills will help you out. I’ll also have more on this topic as it’s a huge one ⛳️
I have no problem doing this type of drill, but it all falls apart when I also try to keep the head back behind the ball. It is very confusing on how all ties together...without a hip slide and side bend, how is it possible to get your low point forward but keep your head back? It's like I can do one or the other but not both.
This should really help if you struggling with contact. I’ve a few other videos on my channel about striking the centre also. Hopefully some of it helps but I do have loads more coming 👍

Thank you 🙏 that great well now you’re in the draw 👍 stay tuned

Another great video! Been my biggest fault forever. I'm a picker vs nice divots in front of the ball.
Thanks for the comment 🙏 certain times being a picker can be beneficial, for example if the ball is sitting up a little bit. Whereas the divot after is great from pretty much any situation, plus it massively improves ball flight. Hopefully the drills in this video will help you. Let me know 👍
You keep things simple to understand and visualise good job
Thanks so much 🙏 that really is the goal of this channel so that means a lot ⛳️

Thanks so much as always 🙏 oh yes a driver version of this is on the cards. Really helps knowing the difference between irons and driver
Going to apply this to the range today 👏🏻
Awesome good luck and let me know how it goes 👍⛳️
Nice video ! Loved the visual explanation.
Thank you 🙏 that’s the plan to try and make sense of what’s happening first then fix it ⛳️

Sounds like good advice. Thanks
You’re welcome. How it helps
I am in. I suck at golf but trying to make it better.
You will get there. Just enjoy the process of it all. Keep learning and implementing ⛳️
Had a round yesterday on a very soft and spongey course. I was chunking more shots than usual and I hope that by watching this I will do away with these kinds of mishits.
100% as the turf gets softer it can really start to show this up. Definitely implement this and it will help you out. Let me know how it goes ⛳️
