    • @Rosiesdessertspot
      @Rosiesdessertspot  5 лет назад

      you can use a power drill the same diameter or a little larger than your dowel. that would probably work best :)

  • @battymare
    @battymare 5 лет назад

    Did you just use chocolate to do the drip or did you use ganache?

  • @AmericanBaker
    @AmericanBaker 5 лет назад

    This is really lovely, Rosie. Well done. Does the oil in the chocolate keep it from setting up solid? I've had issues with chocolate before that makes me nervous to work with it again.

    • @Rosiesdessertspot
      @Rosiesdessertspot  5 лет назад +1

      hey lovely! thank you for the sweet comment :)
      it still sets hard which is nice. If you add too much oil then it will be problematic, so a teaspoon and a half is usually where i stop. Have you tried using compound chocolate like nestle calypso? sometimes the chocolate needs tempering if it isn't compound, that's where the problems most typically stem from.

    • @AmericanBaker
      @AmericanBaker 5 лет назад

      @@Rosiesdessertspot I've had trouble finding compound chocolate. I have looked, but couverture is everywhere in Germany. I will look out for Nestle Calypso. Thanks for the tip.

    Hi , i am struggling with mixing colors onto the chocolate. In this vdo was telling about oil+chocolates+gelfood color , but I would like to know the exact amount to mix it perfectly , can you please tell me? and when the chocolates set it will be hard and firm still. That is what i am looking for. :) thanks

    • @Rosiesdessertspot
      @Rosiesdessertspot  5 лет назад

      hi hun, thanks for your comment! So i used maybe .5 teaspoons or so of oil to approximately 100 grams of dark chocolate. I then added a great deal of colour, but you can add anywhere from 1 to 3 drops of colour without affecting the consistency of the chocolate. It will still set hard :) if you are worried about the chocolate seizing though, try using oil based colours or powder based colours instead. chocolate and oil mix well, but water and chocolate do not. This is why the seizing happens.

    • @pvon7129
      @pvon7129 5 лет назад

      Rosie's Dessert Spot that helps me alot i am clear now, thank you so much ;) how about with the white chocolate, shall I increase the white chocolate than the amount of dark you were mentioned?

      hey lovely, this was for a friend of a friend. Otherwise, I try to hand them away, or strip down the decorations to a crumb coat, and practice some other designs until I get full use out of the cake.
