my favorite part of every episode is "although we never see ______ again, probably because they killed themselves for having to deal with zach"
Alex Szabo because she probably fucking killed herself lmao
A lot of people disappears around Zack. .
HONESTLY
😂😂😂
I actually laugh at that part but I’m not trying to be rude
thE ONLY TIME ZACK WAS SLIGHTLY A GOOD PERSON HE STILL MESSED IT UP SOME HOW
Sometimes for no reason I just sing "Jack Morris is trash"
Love it! Looking forward to more!
I've spent the last 14 years of my life being disabled and this is a travesty.
Didn't Screech stab some guy?
yeah, but that was real life...we're hating on fake shit now...I guess...
zack is the teen age michael scott
god... even as a kid, this episode made me really uncomfortable. Like as a kid, you're supposed to relate to or think that the protagonist is really cool. ...But being handicapped, even then, I thought ...that's an awful way to act
“Probably fucking killed herself”
The Max didnt have a wheelchair ramp
This happened to me on my first ever tinder hookup lol! I probably handled it the same way he did
...and this is the same guy who got over 1500 on his SAT?! 😕😕😕
Salty Star Wars fans: "OMG, Rey is the biggest Mary Sue!"
Zack Morris: "Am I a joke to you?"
“Zach asks her on another date, which for some reason she agrees to” hahaha
I understand the wheel chair, but that kind of decision making should be a handicap.
Though, broads do that regularly.
You're not getting it... It's Zack. Freaking. Morris. when asks you for a pencil you give him your whole book bag!
Disabled woman here: When this ep aired I was 16. I was SO ANGRY! No one cared. Thank god some dudes on Funny Or Die could finally explain why 20+ years later. *Finally, it happened to me...*
Lucky Lehane you were watching this and taking it seriously at 16? You do know this show was meant for tweens right.
My little brother watched it and I got sucked in. So, 25 years later I'm sorry I was so "lame" at 16. (Get, it "LAME" LOL! Okay, I'm also a lame adult.) While some may call my feelings whining or "victimhood" I'm not saying the show shouldn't have existed. I think it just reflected how bad things were and that I wanted them to be better. I'm super glad people are more aware of disability sensitivity today and that people even REALIZE how bad this was. While stupid TV shows are stupid TV shows I believe they reflect how people feel and their awareness. If the show had one of the main kids in a wheelchair per say it could have really helped change tweens opinions about other kids with disabilities...but of course that would never happen then.
Lucky Lehane Well, I'm not calling you a whiner or a victim. I just think you might have been projecting things onto this show that weren't there, and taking it a tad too seriously. The show isn't ragging on the disabled or trying to stigmatize people in wheelchairs. Zack is the odd one out in this episode, so to speak. All the other characters are fine with Melissa's disability. But he has to keep making a big deal about it. In fact it came across to me as a 10/11 year old watching this episode as kinda weird for him to be so immature and awkward, because at this stage in the show he was a high school senior. Little did I know it was a "Very special episode" and the writers were just trying to send a message, albeit as clumsily as they might have been.
Yes more people with disabilities could've been featured as attending Bayside. But to be real with you, no kids in wheelchairs went to my high school. I think that's the norm for the vast majority of public high schools in America. And that's a GOOD thing! It's not normal for teenagers to be confined to wheelchairs. And I say this as someone with a disability my self.
Okay, I'm taking the time to write so ALL PEOPLE WHO LIKE LOOKING AT POP CULTURE FOLLIES CAN SEE WHY WE DO IT. AND FOR PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES. Even though I feel like you are trying to bait me into saying "How dare you, sir! Saying people with disabilities NOT being in public school is GOOD is the same things as saying 'It's good more INSERT ENTHIC MINORITY HERE aren't at most schools.'" Just so you can say I'M the bigot Nazi here. I'm not going to say that as you most obviously don't think disability is a "true" minority. (Even though people with disabilities where killed by Nazis first to see what they could get away with. Look it up.)
You are most likely not a bigot Nazi, but someone who has very mixed feelings about your own disability whatever it may be. It may be slight dyslexia; it may be a gluten allergy. My sympathies. But I can't help but think you MUST know I was a girl in a school in a wheelchair. Actually, I wasn't. I made myself walk everywhere with a severe limp and balance issues. Before you say 'Oh how brave,' there are times I wished I didn't force myself to walk, but back in the 90s if I used a chair I'd be called a "faker" or seen as "weak."
I now use a scooter now most of the time. Due to so much "brave" walking I hurt my back forever. I fell many times. But, walked because I so badly wanted to be "normal" at my school because I knew the attitudes such as yours existed with people saying: "It's a good thing that more kids with disabilities (like Lucky not my real name) aren't here . I can say that as a person with my learning disability in math, but of course, I should be here because *my* disability isn't bothering people and *I'm me.* I'm just saying if I had a BIG disability I'd know I should be removed from society and all...or you know, kept away from the rest people of which I am one of. But you know, I am actually 'NORMAL' like the rest of people.'"
FYI: I wouldn't have been so "normal" if I was kept out of "normal" school FYI NO ONE would have good social skills if they were forced away from society. As for me today, I'm married. I have a daughter. Employment has been rough, despite my education and experience. But, I am author. I also am a licensed therapist. Now, there are plenty of people in the world that aren't: married or have kids or fancy degrees or jobs and there are way more awesome and "normal" than I'll ever be. But, I'm telling you all of this because all of my achievements would never have occurred if I was a "throw away character" or "kept away from school because it was a 'good thing.'"
But, I probably am being ridiculous for being so mad at a fictional character for 25 years. Just like Funny or Die is ridiculous for pointing it out and the thousands who watch it. Just as you are ridiculous for bothering to comment on my comment and point out (like The Mean Girls of my high school) that a 16 year old shouldn't be watching 16 year olds on Saved by the Bell, but the 90210 16 year olds due to their realism of mansions and drugs and... Wait they had a wheelchair episode throw away character too AND they had black throwaway characters! Wow! The 90s were ridiculously bad, but maybe remembering how bad they were isn't so ridiculously because that's how things change... and I think THAT's a good thing.
Lucky Lehane Oh boy! LOL
You know it's understandable how on a place like the RUclips comments section you might not assume good faith with many anonymous posters, or give them the benefit of the doubt. But sometimes it is appropriate to do so. I hesitated before I used the word "normal", because I kinda suspected it could be taken the wrong way. When I talked about it not being normal to see teenagers in wheelchairs in an average high school, I didn't mean they Shouldn't be in public schools. I meant they shouldn't be in WHEELCHAIRS! And the vast majority of kids aren't, which is the "good thing".
I got into an automobile accident over a decade ago, and badly damaged my leg. If things had gone worse, I could've wound up in a wheelchair. I have no problem with the disabled. I wish there were more parking spaces and wheelchair ramps, and more accommodations in general for those that need them, but I also wish less people used them. I wish there was less of a need for them. Because I wish less people were disabled, ESPECIALLY children. When you view disability as an identity or as being part of a minority, like ethnicity or sexuality, that's a flawed way of thinking. Because everyone wants there to be more members of their identity group. But having more people suffering or dealing unfair disadvantages, just so there can be more people like you doesn't seem ethical to me.
Are you going to cover that time that big girl won an auction to date Zack and how he lied to get out of dating her?
Puggalug I remember that one; I loved when she told him off and said she would go to the dance alone because at least she would be with someone who was honest!
Puggalug I was just thinking that
Hes literally the definition of douche bag or fuck boi.
Omg yeah, I remember watching that and since I’m chubby it made me feel so awful about myself.
The hot chick needed body image advice?
Melissa should've been in every episode afterwards just to provide facial reactions to Zack's stupidity.
😂😂😂
lmao the saddest gym of all-time. I had that same thought as a child.
Tiniest too, looked more like a garage than a gym lol.
He handles the situation with class and grace by saying .....”Woah...you’re in a wheelchair”...💀
There was an episode of Frasier of all shows that had a similar premise
@@Movieman1885did he learn you a lesso ?
♪ Zack Morris is traaaaaaaaashhh ♫♫ XD
Best part
Is no one gonna talk about how Zack basically thought you had to walk to give good advice?
There’s nothing to talk about because that’s how dumb it is and funny or die made a joke in the episode about it
The Bayside school budget was cut more times than Zack's grandma dying.
Brandon Henderson That's America!
Brandon Henderson yeah, they only had like one class room and half a staircase. It was a poor school.
She died like ten times in one year. I can't even imagine what that lady must have been going through.
lokeymexican The Gathering of the Immortals?
@@lokeymexican she probably fking killed himself
As a woman with a physical disability that requires the use of a wheelchair, I can say that Zack Morris was ABSOLUTELY trash in this episode.
EDIT: To those claiming this comment was me "attention-seeking", if that were the case, I would have brought this up on a video that wasn't related to disabilities. But as it is, this video is ABOUT a character who happens to be in a wheelchair. Commenting about my own disability is just being honest and adding my own related comment.
he meant well hes just dumb lol
Councilman Les Wynan is trash.
I bet that some people often treat you badly and ask you silly questions. I hope that the World has gotten better for Persons with Disabilities since this show was written. Zack's comments are so cringe-worthy. I remember watching this show as a kid and I think that even back then, I would have thought that he was being ignorant.
Let’s give a round of applause to the real star of the comments. The only person who has to be in a wheel chair all the time kailah
Cute and in a wheelchair. I'm gonna call you Hot Wheels.
A character with a disability in one episode about people disabilities and then never to be heard from again?
Much like the black characters on "Family Ties" & "Happy Days": "Racism is wrong. C'mere black people. Tell them racism is wrong". Then never to be heard from again.
1128ca Mbq so freaking true
To make up for it, they spend the entire show trashing a minority group which spans race and gender: Nerds.
Gregory Smith that comment ended in a completely different place than it began and I don't know what any of the points were
The only old sitcom character I know who had a disability in appeared in more than one episode I know was Gerri from Facts of Life.
Gregory Smith then why do white people get so upset when a movie or show has an all black cast, calling it racist? Shouldn't that same logic of having friends in your race apply there too?
But zach morris can freeze time ok, i mean thats solething you know
TheSpanishzombie only Eeeveee can freeze time!
That makes it worse! He's like the Anti-Spider-Man, great power and zero responsibility. Zack Morris is a God, and, sadly, he is a vengeful and jealous God.
what's that episode of black mirror???
Jon MacDonald That reference is out of this world...
*ZACK WARUDO*
Zack should be on it's always Sunny. Him and Dennis could battle for control of the gang until they discovered their both serial killers and team up.
Epic!!😂😂
Zach would LOVE the idea of the “implication”
@@Mitreme 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
The two biggest sociopaths in the history of TV? Sign me up!
Now I wonder how Dennis would react to Kelly Kapowski.
Zack fucked up. Melissa was a cutie
Dammit, Slater is the best guy! He sees the new girl, and immediately includes her in the gang's activities. No judgments, no stupid questions, just "hey, you seem nice, let's be friends."
Meanwhile, Zack makes me cringe every ten seconds.
Despite being in a wheelchair she gave good advice. LOL!
That coupled with his disassociation with reality by talking to an “audience”, and Zach Morris was the 90s Patrick Bateman.
Unfortunately he's no Patrick Bateman. Closer to Bueller, except he has a hubris lesson to learn every episode.
“…there is an idea of a Zack Morris, some kind of abstraction, but there is no real me, only an entity, something illusory, and though I can hide my cold gaze and you can shake my hand and feel flesh gripping yours and maybe you can even sense our lifestyles are probably comparable: I simply am not there.
The real episode made me laugh 25 years ago at Zack's appalling behavior, but the Zack Morris is Trash version literally made me cry laughing. I am typing this through tears. Tears of hysterical laughter.
😂😂😂😂 it’s literally too much
I remember yelling at the screen about what a jerk Zack was being. He didn't know it was inappropriate, but no one actually took the time to tell him either.
Zach is basically Jake/Logan Paul
Cliché Originals oh god... you’re so right
He's the original Paul brother-it is now canon
He kinda looks like Justin Bieber to me and that makes these videos a million times funnier
I dunno. Zack comes off to me as someone who could take in some technical details by the way he plans intricate schemes and his SAT score. You probably couldn't explain the water cycle to a Paul brother without their eyes glazing over and them yelling 'what are those?!'
That wheelchair makes me cringe. Life is hard enough without a crappy wheelchair.
Md Device I understand that, but if you are going to rent a wheelchair why not get a good one?
I have a crappy wheelchair. It makes me cringe. It has castor wobble. It makes everything so much harder.
I had total Melissa face this whole time 😂 OH MY GOD PROBABLY FUCKING KILLED HERSELF 💀 the timinnnng
Class and grace “woah, youre in a wherlchair”
I think the writer of the episode was trying to teach kids to NOT be like Zach here.
Jesse Gandy I'm pretty sure that's his character so everyone can learn from his mistakes in the entire series because every episode he's always doing something selfish and jerkish.
@@reeses.6653 Yet he remains the coolest kid in school, with no real consequences...
Nick Swinehart exactly. Most shows for kids have selfish protagonists, but most episodes will end with said character genuinely learning and growing (though it usually resets every episode) but here, Zack barely ever seems aware that he's being a trash monster and only learning very little.
You can't even say he's supposed to teach kids to do the opposite, because his character is made to be the coolest and most charming guy around
@@nickswinehart3343 Maybe the lesson is try not to be the cool kid, be yourself.
yes, very good, jesse. now please explain this to the other 900 outraged dipshits flaunting their moral superiority over a fictional tv character in the comments section of youtube.
This was such a great episode because I can relate. I too use a wheelchair and don't want people to pity me or be obsessed about my using a wheelchair. I also wondered whatever happened to her after this episode. Was this the "disability" episode, sort of like a PSA?
You heard what happened to her. Probably fuckin killed herself.
Zack Morris is trash. But let's not forget that one time he delivered a baby in an elevator in like 7 minutes. That's gotta count for something, right?
Amelia Wicker even trash has good stuff in it
Amelia Wicker He just wanted to see the V.
Hahaha
Milofire :3 so true
Nope because he was the reason she had the baby in the elevator. He threw her a baby shower at the school to get out of a test. He's still TRASH. Lol.
I LOVE this series! It's funny and rather clever. Also, I have a few suggestions for season 2, if there is one:
Almost Entrapped A Woman Into Having a Relationship with a Minor (Fake I.D.s)
Tortured a Sick Friend in the Hospital to Win a Contest (The Teachers Strike)
Caused a Friend To Suffer An Identity Crisis In Order to Gain a Free Trip to D.C. (The Election)
Made Friend Give Up Her Dream of Medical School By Implying She Was Stupid and Lazy (Dr. Kelly)
Killed Innocent Animals To Get Rich (Pipe Dreams)
Broke Up Friends' Relationship To Force Himself On a Foreign Exchange Student (Love Machine)
Manipulated Girl Into Entering Sexist Contest Only to Refuse to Vote for Her (4th of July)
Blamed Principal For His Own Clumsiness, Then Forced Him Into Doing His Schoolwork (Operation Zack)
Man, Zack Morris really is Trash.
Wow, over 40 episodes later and I don’t even think he ended up doing half of these. This show was a gold mine for shitty behaviour.
A teen line? Again? Did nobody learn from the mistake of a Zack being involved with a teen line after the first time?
Please more of this? Serious is the new funny
It's kind of dry and dark humor Maybe and has a message so it's a mixture of types. But yeah maybe they're trying something new a little more edgy and drama and learning and facts and history for some of the younger people haven't seen the show.
Jesus H. Christ... as a woman now confined to a wheelchair if one person did/said even one of these things to me; to quote my beloved Black Dynamite "now you done an gonna get fucked up". Deplorables then. Deplorables now. This series is up there with my honeeee Ryan, the Overly Excited Tourist. Thank you FOD
The prequel series to a Very Special Episode series?
Different series but don’t worry, we’re not done with Zack Morris yet.
Do 'All in The Mall' where zack made them all camp out at the mall.
Zack: Oh, you're in a wheel chair?
Girl: Well, yeah.
Zack: "Time out" (leaves)
This comment was funnier than the whole video
I watched every episode and this is definitely the best case for Zack Morris being a horrible person.
I’m in a wheelchair and I can 100% confirm that it is absolutely respectful and nice when people ask why.
*A CHEESEBURGER AND A HAND JOB*
That would be an amazing first date, tbh.
@@stuflames4769 I was just about to comment that
😂
Mmhmmm
TABLE CLOTH DAY I LOST IT
But aren’t the ones who wrote the scripts trash. The actor was following what was written for him🤔.
Guess it makes them all TRASH😆
Out of all the episodes showcased in "Zack Morris is Trash," I feel like this is the only one that the show actually meant to demonstrate Zack as the douchebag he really is
I admit I learned something from this episode too, and I also admit I think like Zach now since my dad is in a wheelchair and accessibility is still an issue. But publicly humiliating your wheelchair-bound friend/latest crush at a charity basketball game is not cool. I actually didn't see this episode until after the wheelchair episode of The New Class aired where the male was doing everything in his power to avoid the wheelchair-bound girl after learning she was in a wheelchair. That one was much colder.
Oh wow avoiding a girl in a wheelchair? Now that is bad.
@@lokeymexican Sorry!! I just saw this now!! Yup!! This was also during a Semester at Sea program so she would be even harder to avoid for long. There were so many Zack-types on The New Class with no fourth wall-breaking. But a lot more controversial topics were handled and it seems like they learned from their mistakes here. The worst thing I can recall is how Dustin Diamond not only returned to the show, but for whatever reason adopted a permanent squeaky voice for Screech in the later seasons. But He and Belding were always together and hilarious together.
Melissa was cute as hell!
"Yup once again Melissa that's the right face"
The saddest thing about this is he's really not unusual in how he treats her, we just wouldn't put this on TV anymore, and instead, sadder still, we've convinced ourselves it doesn't actually happen like that. Everyone's always really surprised and then downplays it.
Yeah, Hollywood these days is all about portraying an idealized version of life, not the reality. It feels as if we've entered another *Hays Code* (1934-1968). That was the set of guidelines that dictated what was acceptable to say/show on screen. Hollywood finally did away with the Code in the late '60s and replaced it with the rating system still in use today (G, PG, PG-13, R). Anyway, that's why films from the late '30s to early '60s seem unrealistic to us now, just as many movies from the 2010s will no doubt seem phony to future viewers.
As someone who's been visually impaired since birth, I can confirm that no, this isn't just shitty writing or a reflection of Zack's trashy character. People are actually like this. I wish I had a dollar for every time some random person asked a really intrusive question or offered a healing prayer or awkwardly tried to hit on me because they clearly had a fetish for women with disabilities (yes, that's a thing).
nobody cares
@@jaredgiff6342 We do, Cletus.
Really innovative of The Max on their pilot tablecloth for only one table program. Guess it didn’t catch on tho
I remember hating this back in the day, but having to watch it cause nothing else would be on at the time that was better. Thank God it's the future and we can usually watch what we want when we want it. The past sucked! :D
KSangel180 ????? Cheers, Fresh Prince, The Simpsons, Roseanne, Friends, Married With Children, Seinfeld, Frasier.....all great shows.
Zack Morris is Jake Paul wow
Also, The Max does not appear to be wheelchair accessible.
God, I don't even think Peter Griffin is that rude or disrespectful to Joe Swanson.
Why is the basketball court so small 💀 it’s not even a full basketball court
It was shot on a sound stage, not a real gymnasium.
My favorite part is that, everyone else actually is cool with her. It's only Zack who has a problem.
Omg I felt so bad for that girl when I was a kid lmao. Dammit Zack!
i think it’s kind of unfair to criticize him so harshly. He had obviously never been exposed to somebody like that before. The whole time he was trying to be nice and make her feel special, and it hurt her feelings in the end, but he obviously didn’t know he was making her feel uncomfortable.
Matthew Luck she should have also called him out on it way before the basketball game (although she was calling a teen help hotline. Maybe she has issues standing up for herself or something?) but at the same time her uncomfortableness was written all over her face and it's kinda horrifying to think about when someone who loves going after ladies is also extremely bad at reading body language. Just saying it leads to bad situations
Zack Morris just DGAF
They meet up the max for a cheeseburger and a hand job.
Classic 😂
I cringed so many times while watching this video
Because FoD even made it right?
Quxxn M shut up there was nothing cringy about it.
Mellissa didn't kill herself
Mr. Belding did
Just liek he did for so many other characters that mysteriously disappeared when they got between him and Zac
The girl in wheelchair is Micheal Bien's wife from Terminator and Aliens.
He's basically taking advantage of that poor girl because she's disabled
Please do more of these! I’m sure there are so many examples!
Yea this episode does make you cringe, but I guess that's was what they are going for to send the message.
The message they were going for was kind of like, "ableism is ok when you're going out with someone with a disability".
This was so cringey help me
Since I'm a brazilian I never actually watched saved by the Bell before but holly fuck Zach Morris is so trash ,I didn't think writers created characters that are this much trash for silly teenage sitcoms
Zack is trash pero it's kind of the point. Everyone always calls him out as a jerk lmao. We been knew.
Zach shows up late because he was stealing a kids breakfast and sexually harrasing his first girl of the day"
What I like about this episode is that it's completely unaware of itself. It has a sense of moral superiority and is sticking up for disabled people (who aren't a homogeneous group) by making fun of a guy who, when dating a disabled person, has a feeling of moral superiority and feels the need to stick up for disabled people (who didn't ask for help).
Even in the 90s, Morris would have gotten his ass beat regularly (and should have) for all his bullshit.
The endings always get me. "They probably fucking killed themselves." So beautiful.
PLEASE make Ted Mosby is trash or Ross Geller is trash bc there's soooo much content
This is like Dennis Reynolds in high school lol
Omg, poor Melissa. He completely used her by trying to exploit her disability.
Finally! Somebody say it!
The way Zach handled mandatory service was understandable. I say one should always try to make mandatory things fun. 😄 Everything else was lame of him.
Cheeseburger and a hand job
This episode is inspirational because im in a wheelchair and reminds me that if she can not set him on fire after the first comment, i can get through anything
“The one who actually has to be in a wheelchair all the time “ wow....😒😒
even Slater was like "why he going so hard on her?
I don't even know what this fucking show is but I love these videos
What the fuck kind of human being doesn’t know what Saved by the Bell is?
Sickening.
Zack is naïve, and due to the nature of a sitcom, he also happens to suffer from, frequent bouts, of episodically induced amnesia... He does learn at the end of every show- and would retain the lessons, of his past, if only he had a memory of more than half an hour, every Saturday morning... Blame the writers not their characters... They made them this way... Just like his disabled counterpart "he was born this way..." and shouldn't be judged by his disabilities brought on by the limitations of his own maker.... Zack may not be able to recall and learn from his past experiences... But that doesn't mean you can't learn from Zack's clearly illustrated mistakes... Which is the point, after all, for these kinds of Saturday morning "kids/teen" shows, of this era....
you know what would be killer? if you did one of these for Law and Order SVU hahah
Please do more of these!
Damn, Jack needs a serious intervention and counseling, what a fucked up kid, I never realized it when I was a kid, I just knew I hated Zack and Hated Saved by the Bell with a passion and could never understand how my friends could watch it.
I was raised thinking Zach was the main charactor, and I should act just like him. I still love saved by the bell, but I want more of these videos! Hilarious!
Zack was the main character.
Sad part is Screech in real life was the real douchbag.
I watched saved by the bell a few timed back in the day. But they are TRASH compared to these videos. Too damn good. You know what else is trash? I think you know
MAKE MORE OF THESE!!! THEY'RE HILARIOUS
I was watching this and I was like, did she ask you to push her? She’s capable of pushing herself. I know so many people who that would drive crazy.
This show was such trash lol
I remember loving SBTB as a kid, but distinctly remember this episode making me cringe. That and there was a 7th Heaven with a "violent" street gang.
My first question would have been "so can you still feel down there or am I wasting my time?"
I'm not denying that Zach Morris is trash, _but_ as a person who holds several minority cards, this is the way some people behave around me if it's their first time meeting someone like me. If this taught a few people to chill out (or to just say "I don't know how to act; this is my first time and I don't want to make a mistake" so you can help them) then that's good.
