Top Video.I bought one on ebay for $50 Au and fitted it myself in 2 hours.Half the inner race stayed on the shaft & needed to grind it to release it & with no Press I used a Hammer to remove the old one then placed the new one in the Freezer for a hour & used a LPG burner to worm the case up then used the Vice to press it on.Worked well.Thank you for helping me not get ripped off by a Mechanic.
Thank you for a good commentary! It was a good idea to freeze wheel bearing to reduce its diameter which ease its piercing. This lifehack will be useful for our viewers! Best regards, Autodoc.
Thank you so much for this amazing reference video. I did the replacement of my lower control arm ball joint and removed my cv shaft to have it checked while getting a new hub and bearing pressed so that I can refit it all again. Did the refit and the car drives amazingly now... Thanks again!!
Well, actually it took nearly 3 hours to do the work - shown here in 16 minutes 🙂 I also broke some of my old tools....For those of you, doing it the first time, I would like to share some advice regarding the necessary tools: What you need for sure is solid 3/4 - 32 in a long version (about 90mm or 3,5inch) a very solid truck ratchet or a 3/4 tire cross for trucks to open the main nut at the driveshaft. Abattery powered impact wrench is also nice to have. Either you have an hydraulik press or you use a handheld system. Make sure, your grinder is nearby and equipped with a 1x125mm disk to cut awy the outer part of the bearing, when it snaps of and stick to the disk rotor 🙂. Some grease is also a good idea. And if you change the driveshaft too, make sure to have a carpet underneath to soak up the transmission oil coming out. Lots of brake cleaner and some transmission oil proofed useful.
Great video. Any particular reason why he does not grease the wheel bearing and the hub hole? Should this not be done prior to installing the new bearing?
Thank you for your comment! The mechanic prepared the bearing completely before installation, but we did not show this that to save time. Best Regards, Autodoc team

Thank you for such a brilliant tutorial. Just one question though, I struggle to see the socket and wrench sizes. Could you please zoom the view some more. I hope I’m not the only one to notice this, otherwise it will mean I’m blind :)
Thank you for the feedback. We are glad that you liked our video review. All the sizes of the keys we indicated in the captions under the video. Best Regards, Autodoc team.
