I know when I'm ever looking for a tutorial, you are going to have exactly what I need. Thank you as always for breaking down this process for us. You are a truly amazing teacher!
Excellent tutorial mate. I haven't used ACF for a very long time, but this is good to know. It would be good to see more for other builders and CPT tools (METABOX, Crocoblock etc) and different builders (Bricks, GutenTurd/Kadence/Blocksy etc
Fantastic tutorial video. No BS, doesn't assume knowledge, very clear and easy to follow. Helped me easily build a jobs page for a client. I'll be sure to use your free & paid tutorial courses in future.
Best tutorial on ACF - I even turn Paul to a slow talking 0.75 and it was more digestible for me. My better half is from your side of the country and I'm still looking for a similar switch to slow her talking but hey we can't have great content from Paul and everything else we want. Thanks again Paul - really well decribed - worth 2M Parmos. Can you do a video on top of this to show the way to menutise the page you created to go between categories. Al
Thanks for the video. It comes on cue. I am currently familiarizing myself with ACF Pro. A tutorial on how to create calculated fields in ACF would be cool!
Fantastic. And very timely for me too! So thank you. I'm building a community site that requires this very thing -- a jobs board. The next layer on top of this is that I have to set it up so that certain members can add new jobs via the frontend, as members won't have access to the admin dashboard. I think this is where the video you did on that topic (using the property website) comes into play. Am I right in that? Do you have any tips and pointers? This is going to save me having to get a 3rd party jobs plugin, that then requires extra costs in the form of adding (geolocation being the key one, I think) Thanks again for all your damn fine work on here -- consistently excellent.
Thank you, I love your tutorials. A couple of years ago I followed your tutorials to create CPT with ACF an that time I installed not only ACF, but also CPT UI. Whereas, now you're creating CPT using just ACF. What's the best way of working? For example currently I have both plugins ACF and CPT UI.
Thank you! This really opend up my mind to the possibilities of ACF! Excelent Tutorial, one question though... is there any way to sort the Loop Grid based on a numeral in an ACF field? Again much appreciated!
Awesome tutorial, thank you! One remaining question: How do I use the hierarchical part of those ACF? I am trying to display them hierarchically (employees). How can I manage this in elemenor pro? i created the loop item and the template, but would like to add that the hirarchy goes from CEO down...
Hello Paul, great tutorial you're creating. Thanks for this. Very clear, it has already helped me a lot. Thanks for that. I have another question. I would like to add a link and/or an embed field to a personal page meant only for the user. However, I want to ensure that Customer A cannot see what Customer B has in it. How can I set that up? Thanks for your answer.😅
Hi Paul. Great tutorial, as always. Could you please consider making a video on how we can display custom fields from another CPT on a the template of another CPT?
@WPTuts Hey Paul, thanks for your quick reply. Here is how you can reproduce this. Create a custom post type with ACF named "Portfolio". Add some custom fields to it as usual (e.g. Client name, Date, location). Create a template in Elementor and assign it to the "Portfolio" CPT. Add the Portfolio custom fields to the template. This should work and render OK on the frontend since, by default, the custom fields available are the ones that exist under the Portfolio CPT. In my case, I wanted to show custom fields that exist in another CPT (e.g. "Testimonials") inside the "Portfolio" page template. Unfortunately, the Testimonials custom fields are not displayed because it pulls data only from the assigned CPT (the "Portfolio" in this case). To test this yourself, go back to ACF, add another CPT, name it e.g. "Testimonials" and add some custom fields to it (e.g. Name, Role in company, Testimonial text). Then go back to the "Portfolio" template, create a testimonial section and try to add the custom fields of the "Testimonials" CPT to it. In my environment, Elementor is not outputting them to the frontend even though I can see and select the Testimonials custom fields in the backend. Is this just me? I have tried the relationship, post object, clone but nothing seems to work. I am relying to your expertise, my ACF wizard 😊
@@ManolisGerakakis you’ll need to setup a relationship in ACF to join the Portfolio with the Testimonial CPT before you can pull the relevant data in. You’ll need a one to one relationship unless there can be multiple testimonials attached to a single project and then you’d need a one to many.
@@WPTuts That is what I've been trying but I haven't been able to sort it out. I will give it another go and let you know. To be honest, the "Relationship" , "Post Object" and "Clone" custom fields are a bit too difficult to grasp. Hope you create a video sometime in the future and shine some light to all this. Thank you for everything.
Thank you for detailed explanation. I learned a lot. There is one more thing that I'd like to know. How can we edit post types in elementor like for WP's post items?
@@vayvon21 go into the Elementor setting and there is an option to enable where Elementor can be used. By default its pages, but you can enable it for posts, etc. Use that to enable it on your custom post type.
Hi Paul. Excellent tutorial. I have a client that runs a special every month not ecom so no coupon code needed. But how would I use acf to achieve this. Thanks
Fantastic! Thank you very much for this. I wanted to ask if you have a course on this, from beginners to advanced. Also, is it possible to put a custom post type behind a top level service page, basically creating supporting content for a silo?
Thanks again Paul! could you also show us how to display information in a listing grid that is extracted from different custom post types? (using crocoblock) thanks a lot man!
Lovely tutorial, very helpful. Can you please just tip me on how you created those text animation at the beginning of the video sections? (The one that looks like Doctor Strange's super powers 😂) I love it and would love to create something like that in videos
Such a comprehensive vid! Question, I am on the elementor "basic" paid plan. and it does not allow me to fetch my ACF Fields inside a loop grid template. is it possible that its only accessible to a business plan?
Çok faydalı oldu teşekkür ederim. Bu cpt ekleme ve sunma işlemlerini hiçbir eklenti kullanmadan yapabilir miyiz. Bu konuda bir tutorial hazırlarsanız çok memnun olurum.
If one of the content groups in the ACF plugin is of the Checkbox type, used to list different services offered by a business, how can I use Elementor to list those services, with each item having an icon? It can be displayed either vertically or horizontally, and it doesn't matter if the same icon is used for all services.
Thank you for your great tutorial. I have one problem. I created a custom post list in elementor pro and it works well but I want to add taxonomy icon without the title to my post. If it's possible with ACF free version please guide me
i want to use Elementor to display a POST LIST and use a media player button to display from the post list. how would i go about that using acf. i have been driving myself crazy trying to figure out how to create said list, and give it custom values such as track name, artist, genre, and a button to click from the list to play the audio track.
How can we take a number field or range in ACF, and output them in elementor like the star rating widget, but with a different icons? or maybe in square boxes etc? I'm trying to create a food taste rating with spiciness, saltiness scale
Is it possible to dynamically hide a section and its header if there is no text in the respective ACF field? For example, I have a created a post template that I utilize for Professor profiles for a university. Some professors do not provide information for some fields (like "Academic Awards", for example), in which case I want the header text of the section not to appear in the template on the front-end.
Great tutorial Paul. I have been working with ACF for a while now, and I have always wondered if it's possible to add an end date to the individual posts in your new custom post type? So it dissapears from the loop at a certain date?
Hello, I'd like to ask you if you are aware of a problem appearing when ACF and taxonomy widget are combined in elementor pro loop grid. Ater clicking any filter button in the taxonomy widget, the oEmbed field with RUclips video just dissapears (without been restored at the "all" taxonomy button...) Same happens also with Vimeo... So, is it compatible the oEmbed field with Loop Grid and Taxonomy filters? Could you just give my a hint? (I also don't yet use any caching plugin) Thank you in advance...!
