Anyone miss the days when Unrelenting Advance would instantly drain your stamina if you tried to block it? Grievous was an absolute monster back in the day.
Wasn’t there a bug which made his claw rush be able to hit the same target more than once
@@ScriptWriter66 that was OP grievous when even rey and obi wan could spam their rush abilities. Much different than pre-BB unit update grievous which was imo way more balanced than even today's grievous

@@7632ios I'm not talking about the effectiveness of the attack, but the fact that they could get unlimited hits in like grievous. The only reason why no one brought up Rey and Obi was cause it wasn't nearly as OP as Grievous' rush.

I actually find unrelenting advanced to be criminally underrated I always run the extra damage star card and use it as a defensive option I find standing still and just swiveling to be most effective a lot of people will try and trade but with flesh is weak and the star card I mentioned earlier it usually works out in your favor
unrelenting advance is really weak against hook swings cause the camera won't turn fast enough

Great against saber spammers but any player worth their salt will get around behind you or just take the opportunity to get their health, stamina and CD's back.
2 main issues with unrelenting advance is 1) you can't block force abilities, and without the health buff star card you take near 100% damage. 2) spammers can always sneak in 2 hits before you startup the ability so using it at low health usually results in death
the central skill in duels is good for various reasons, when you are without stamina and you have against Anakin, if you use the skill it does not attract you, same thing with Vader with the choke
How I imagine Napalmed and Star Bazaar look when they use this card and still win: 😎

May have been difficult to pull off… but Dice really should’ve just replaced unrelenting Advance with an ability that gave Grievous all four arms.
And when all four arms are activated his Block animation changes to unrelenting advance. Probably a pointless thing to talk about for a cancelled game, but if a battlefront 3 is released this would be a great improvement to The General.

I personally find that unrelenting advance can be clutch in 1v2's especially when it's against two sabers who just spam and don't know how to counter unrelenting. Even if they do know what they are doing, if you give them a false opening and time it right so that you catch them off guard you can dish out at least 2 hits, then simply deactivate the ability once they've figured out what's going on
Out of all the heroes I’ve maxed out and used, I have never been able to properly use Grievous. Although he does great damage, his jump is a little wack for me and I’m still reeling from the days of him being a broken mess lol.

There was a small window where Grievous was god but when they fixed Thrust Surge, they also broke Unrelenting Advance and nerfed his jump. UA now sometimes does no damage, even when they're right up in your face and blaster fire often passes right through, damaging you.
Im glad Unrelenting Advance is getting some recognition. It's actually really good for fending off enemies that cornered you or ragdoll you and going offensive.

I’ve always loved using unrelenting advance to catch people off guard in duels and I’m so glad you’ve made a video on it! Unrelenting advance is useless in saber duels tbh if the person is smart they will just dodge behind or use abilities to deal damage
@@booki7057 Vader most definitely needs a nerf. You can have almost any possible combo with the Light Side in HvV and still come out on top if your team is competent and works together. Have you ever been on or faced a Dark Side team that didn't have a Vader? The sheer fact that he's a 'must-pick' makes him an OP candidate. Palpatine I would say is only overpowered by proxy because flying around, adding damage to Vader's. A good blaster player can take down Palpatine easy enough. It's just they have to go through Vader to do it.
What annoys me most is when I'm up against a Dark Side team that doesn't have a Palpatine but always a Vader and the moment my team starts getting kills, someone always switches to Palpatine, especially if they already have a Fett. Palpatine+Vader+Fett= GG
@@lhfinatl7068 I don't see Vader all the time, But most of the time when I do the person playing as him sucks so he isn't too bad of an issue a lot. But when someone actually has a brain.. It really sucks to go against, Too bad he'll never get a nerf since dice decided to abandon the game in such an awful state
Imo Yoda is a good counter to Vader
I've used this card before but I found Ceaseless Assault to be the more useful card for me. I could use both but I choose cowardly retreat for my 3rd card instead.

I know this was a grievous video but I found it funny that ya'll started to comeback once someone switched to Palpatine halfway. Just find it funny how easy palpatine changes shit in HvV, he might not have gotten the kills but he sure as hell put everyone low to be killed quickly. Good video though, am aight at grievous and i don't really use advance that much, i really should implement it more.

U can use that ability offensively and defensively depending on how u use it.. definitely 1 of my fav abilities on him rather than thrust surge.. always use that wen I wanna get some stamina too

Unrelenting advance i think is great on hvv but obviously is situational, i use as defense against blasters at long range to cut distance or get to cover to then flank blasters or just wait for the blaster on my team as grievous blasters block is very weak, but this doesn't work well in the mc-85 cruiser is too closed Also use it against block spammers catching them surprise making some damage to them and as combo with kylo's freeze if near
Yes!! I’m the only person I know who uses this card. If you catch your opponent with it, they don’t know how to act. Very few people can use unrelenting advance in a duel, but if you learn to do it successfully, this card makes Grievous much more deadly!

I've always used unrelenting advance to push into an area it does a good defense push to close grounds as well don't really use it in the open has to be close quarters like shown in this video

+You have to first know how to do a single short jump attack with Grievous. Then you can start practicing it to get many in row. I just normally went to matches and sometimes in peace tried to do it rapidly and after like 10 different attempt times I got it now

Actually for some strange reason, equipping deadly slashes makes the ability to start registering. Like without it, you can't land a single hit but with it, you start landing hits. I think it's a big personally but whatevs.
For any new players I wouldnt recommend this loadout as a greivous main and best greivous I know I run flesh is weak with trained and beating heart
I remember in January of 2020 I think it used to be good I don’t remember why tho I just remember it being fun to use but something changed 2-3 months later

I love the card I use it a lot but people always tell me his card for his cowardly retreat is always better and in most situations I have to agree, you had a masterfull use of unrelenting advance I hope I can approach that skill level someday
Deadly slashes, flesh is weak and sith trained is all I run. It can get you a filthy triple in hvv or punish greedy players at low health
Unrelenting advance is not really useless. You can block blaster shots, protects you from stuns or being knocked down and it's really good against swing spammers. It's still a bad ability but not useless
It's so buggy tho. I find so much of the time when I use it as an emergency defense the enemy just goes through fhe front of the ability, It's really frustrating. It'd be a good ability if it could melt through stamina like it used to and had no risk of using it
I wish we saw general grievous kill someone with that move in live action just to see how bad it would mash someone up just straight up makes them a sushi platter of or is that just me lol.

Unrelenting advance actually has a secret usage I recently found out about myself, I play on Xbox and I’m not sure if this glitch works on PlayStation or PC but please try it and let me know if it also works on those as well. To activate the glitch simply swing your basic attack at the exact same time you activate unrelenting advance, it will seem as if nothing has happened but for about five seconds after doing this you are completely resistant to all knockdowns (force pushes and pulls) Please try this for yourselves and let me know if it also works on PlayStation and PC. I’ve found it to work absolutely 100% of the time and yes it doesn’t even use the unrelenting advance ability, so you don’t need to wait for the ability to recharge to use this glitch again, you can spam it all you want😂
Does it also make you immune to Han's Detonite knockdown or his shoulder charge from behind?

@@lhfinatl7068 you still take all the damage from force pushes/pulls but no knockdown, basically it makes Anakins force pull pointless
@@busygamin652 I figured as much. The damage I'm not worried about as the damage most force abilities deal is almost negligible but if it knocks you down, giving the opponent(s) opportunity to pile on you, that's what concerns me. UA already limits your movement considerably.
This game is starting to suck the biggest bag of balls recently, the amount of plays I’ve made, but didn’t because my sabre just swings through my opponents, sometimes my block doesn’t mean shhh and if I’m having one of these bad games, it’s usually everything above, like I could be Vader I got 3 heroes on me, I outplay, outstrike and outmanoeuvre them all, I block I parry, I swing and I know I’m hitting them, but the game is like nah I’m not bothered working today so I guess, you’re just gonna have to clutch hard, become top hero and only have 6 kills 6 death, or 5/5 or 12/12, but if the game was working I would go my usual, 22/0 25/1 12/1 12/5, but nah things just falling apart 💯💩

Star bazaar, I always have a hard time short hop attacking with grievous. I feel like I'm pressing the buttons too fast for the game to respond, if that makes sense. Is there a settings option to help me out?

Personally thought they should not have nerfed it. It destroyed your opponents Stam at the cost of movement speed. Devs said it was a glitch but I felt like that was appropriate given its 4 lightsabers
@Best since last patch with maining grievous I have never at any moment ever been able to get more than the initial hit with claw rush. ( not to mention simply hitting grevious carefully while he's using that fuqs him up pretty bad unless u got the right cards.) Thrust surge is countered pretty good unless used as a trap and unrelenting advanced is also a trap move that's not great. Also what you listed were cards not glitches? Seeing as grevs has so many weaknesses. You shouldn't have an issue dealing with him unless your fighting a truly sweaty grevs who plays around his weaknesses
@Best oh I see what your saying, yea I was only referring to unrelenting advanced not being nerfed. I agree claw rush was busted. His current state I think he's balanced.
And his thrust surge glitch is easily countered btw. Just turn to the direction grevs is trying to turn to when he uses it and you'll block/ parry it

The problem with Grevious is that for every kill he gets, he sustains so much damage and his attacks don't do much. Of all the lightsaber dualists, he's the worst.

Use sith trained over deadly slashes, you'll rarely get enough hits with ua for the card to be worth it

Just rotate grievous when activated and he becomes a blender.
Or activate it when a leia is using the assault blaster. It makes it completely useless at a distance.
Some players do have low IQs so maybe it is amazing to them

Is this even worth playing anymore because its so hard to get into any match
In Hero Showdown, finding a match can sometimes take forever and when you do finally get one, someone always leaves before the next round and you're sitting, waiting forever to balance the teams.
In HvV, getting into a match is pretty easy. It's just that 95% of the time, you're going to get screwed over either by the matchmaking system that teams you up with a bunch of low levels vs. maxed-out sweats or visa versa or you're going to be up against of team of sweaty smurfs who are just looking to fuck with you.
Why do I never see anyone using parry in this game
Honestly, I see it too much and it's annoying to duel someone who just holds block, waiting for you to attack and parry their damage. So many shitty players who don't have the skill or the balls to play aggressively, Luke and Mauls not withstanding.
