Jackie Hill Perry. The youngest, more recently married woman offers the most biblical, God (and husband) honoring response. Unlike many Christian women in churches or ministry, Perry seems humble and unwilling to throw her husband under the bus. She's owning her struggles. This markedly different mentality indicates that her husband can safely trust in her, that she will do him good and not evil all their days. - Pro.31.
This statement is unhelpful. Nobody is chucking anyone under the bus. They are trying to counsel women who are obviously trying to live harmoniously with their husbands.
The foundational dynamic of Christian sanctification is change. Those who are not changing should question their place in God's kingdom. The issue is how that change occurs, by the will of a spouse or by the will of the Holy Spirit.
Hey TGC -- thanks for the video, but please include the names of the participants in the description. I don't recognize these lovely ladies by their faces. Is that Nancy Guthrie in the middle?
Why did they invite Jackie Perry Hill on the segment if Nancy thinks she hadn’t been married long enough to give a meaningful contribution? In a few minutes, she said _three_ times, “You haven’t been married very long…” as if to discredit her contribution. And so, what?! She can’t speak from a place of experience unless it’s the same as 23 years for Jen and 30 years for Nancy? Really? I found Nancy’s dismissive gesture arrogant and condescending. And yet, Jackie gave the best counsel of the three.
If you need to change your husband then you shouldnt have married him. Husbands should serve their wives and wives should serve their husbands. Either way if your changing your husband you need to bring God in your marriage. The only reason to change another person is if, their attitude is awful, if they're on drugs or not a christian at all.
@ Cribster98 'husbands should serve" Christ serves the church and obeys the church ? Parents serve their children and obey them ? Bosses serve their employees and obey them ? .
Isabelle M Jesus said he didn’t come to be served but to serve. Parents do serve their children and vice versa. Bosses do serve their employees. Because they are put in a position of care not do what I say or else. The parents job is to lead their child or children into doing the right thing and becoming independent. That’s a form of serving. Bosses should make sure that everyone is doing their job and is getting payed the proper amount and that is a form of serving. Jesus helps us through life that’s a form of serving.

The words from his mouth when he's angry is heartbreaking and that's what I pray changes.
Thanks to all three for sharing their opinions, very precious experiences!
Wow, Jill just got it; there's what is greater than all that hurting that we have, I think that's what sustains our relationship.

I think this is more likely to be an issue when a married woman becomes a believer but her husband doesn't.

Isabelle M oh and by the way when I said husbands should serve their wives I was quoting scripture.
@@framboise595 who said that? Husbands should serve in accordance with Ephesians 5:23-24. Look it up.
