She was appointed by Lucas, who I assume expected her to protect his vision in which she stuck a knife in as soon as she could. But I assume Lucas stuck something in the contract to give her staying power incase Disney got upset.
Let's take a real world example: the Olympics. Women's ice skating and Women's gymnastics are some of the highest rated events. The women are all young, usually very attractive, and have better bodies than 99.999%+ of the average female. They attract large audiences of men and women. Why? Because it's excellence on display. The young women who watch them aren't shamed, but rather inspired to become something greater. The best part: there isn't some woke B.S. agenda being shoved in our faces. Hey, Hollywood, that's your answer! That's what the great majority of us want to see. Try to please everyone and you'll please no one.
The most important part is these women didn't just get to be at the Olympics because their uncle knew someone. They worked really hard to get there. Hats off.
Gotta love the insecurity shield. If they believed in their product, it could stand on its own. They are ready to call their audience sexist and whatnot.
Yes I agree with what you are saying. Like for the Fantastic Four movie coming out, for the last 58 years, The Silver Surfer has been male, now Disney has hired a female for the character. If you look up the online write ups, no one cares about the gender or race of a character, you can write a new character to be whatever you want, just stop changing established characters that have been a certain way for 50 to 100+ years. Now before I go to a theater to see a movie, I look to see who the production company is first, because that will tell me what matters most, the story or an agenda.
Star Wars fans have always complained about poorly written material. Does anyone remember the Kevin Anderson books in the 90's. He was widely criticized for them.
Your amazing. !! Love someone speaking the truth , which is few and far between !! Wokesness is killing movies and everything !! GOD bless you I’m Christian and u have made a new fan.
@DampLover not just the show first...they focused on an entertaining show. It's difficult to watch something you don't want to see. Action movies/TV shows are things mostly men are interested in. Science fiction is mainly male dominated fan base. If you write something that your audience will like then you'll get a lot more views.
Its not that we dont want to see strong women. We just dont want to see women who dont earn their strength (they are just suddenly invincible and better than anyone before with little to no training), have no emotions (because real women never have those), do unrealistic things (like throwing a full grown man across a room), and have to belittle and disrespect all men along the way to do it.
Gina Carano was cool. Shame we didnt get her stand alone serial. Fennek on other hand is trash. I can see how Gina, can be ex commando and I see how ex commando can be on par with Mando at least in hth. And I dont see how nobody frome nowhere suddenly one of the top 10 bounty hunters(some series from bad batch)... Also noname girl mandolorian being on par with Boba. Yeah he is old, yeah he is not in top shape, but he is Boba, fucking Fett. One of the 0 voicelines most beloved characters. And she is literall nobody, being female mandolorian her only characteristics. I like female characters. One problems, most of the times we dont have characters...
That's why Captain Marvel and the live-action Mulan did so fucking badly. They just had their power given to them, and now they're all "I'm a strong independent woman who don't need to listen to no man!" (exactly the sentiment at the end of Captain Marvel when she blasts Yonn-Rog and is like "I don't have to prove anything to you!" YES YOU DO BECAUSE YOU DIDN'T EARN ANYTHING) It's shitty writing, they're incapable of creating a believable backstory/hero's journey for some reason for this, or they just don't want to to push the notion of feminist supremacy (because the 'patriarchy' or some nonsense). People are tired of being lectured at in their entertainment. They just want good stories so they can escape from this shitty reality we're ALL stuck in, men and women alike. Preaching about how bad everyone but the vocal minority that doesn't even consume your content is is not the way to gain viewers or earn money.
Yup, and it fit the plot. Mom knows a terrible war is coming and her son will be the focal point of it, so she does everything she can to protect him knowing the rest of the world won't take her seriously. Nowhere once is it implied she's better than men or that the men are inept, etc.
Something I loved about Terminator 2 is that Sarah Conner is also being a mother in her own way. She doesn't resent John or abandon him, she's always there for him in the way that she believes she needs to be. In fact, this movie made her realize that she was doing things a little too much in the wrong way, despite the good intentions. She even grows to trust and feel sympathy towards the T-800 that is protecting them.

When it comes to movies, TV shows, comics, manga, anime, etc. There are only two things I care about. Good storytelling and good characters. That’s it. Everything else is secondary and just background for me. Also, if your product is resonating with your audience. It’s you, not them.

It honestly blows my freaking mind that Krazy Kathleen Kennedy is somehow STILL in charge over there. Talk about failing upwards 🤦♂️
She has to have dirt on people with real power. No way she got where she is through merit.
@@erroneous6947Epstein flight bookings for sure.
She was appointed by Lucas, who I assume expected her to protect his vision in which she stuck a knife in as soon as she could. But I assume Lucas stuck something in the contract to give her staying power incase Disney got upset.
I see what you did there 😼
@@56redgreen Contracts do not matter unless they are enforced. same for laws.
Hats off.
The American IOC shoehorns minorities that aren't the best gymnasts in order to achieve a diversity quota.
The Woke of us 2!!
The final scissoring!!
LOL
The blame game, run out of targets when they're alone.... or is there one remaining?
No problem, we're men. We're accustomed to women blaming us for their failures.
I happily accept any and all blame. You're welcome.
Gotta love the insecurity shield. If they believed in their product, it could stand on its own. They are ready to call their audience sexist and whatnot.
The first rule of entertainment....KNOW YOUR AUDIENCE!!!!!
KK even admitted once the majority of the Star Wars watching audience are males... she knows .. im convinced she is just trolling us ..
They’re trying to make excuses for their failure instead of figuring a solution out
Yes I agree with what you are saying.
You mean my {WHYYYTE} MALE PRIVILEGE actually WORKED?! 🤭
Also: *_THE LACKOLYTE_*
Lactating Lip service!!!!
"In a text message added later" sounds like someone forgot one of her mandated talking points.
She's right! We don't want that crap anymore. Keep blaming us. It's fun!
Star Wars fans have always complained about poorly written material. Does anyone remember the Kevin Anderson books in the 90's. He was widely criticized for them.
And The Crystal Star? Another bad book
Then there's the heir to the empire books which were brilliant
Your amazing. !! Love someone speaking the truth , which is few and far between !! Wokesness is killing movies and everything !! GOD bless you I’m Christian and u have made a new fan.
Men this movie is not for you.................. Why are men not watching our show!?
If the show is good, 99% of people don't care who is in it.
That’s a bingo!
Look at that 70´s show as an example.
Unknown actors but it´s one of the best shows out there because they focused on the show first.
@DampLover not just the show first...they focused on an entertaining show. It's difficult to watch something you don't want to see. Action movies/TV shows are things mostly men are interested in. Science fiction is mainly male dominated fan base. If you write something that your audience will like then you'll get a lot more views.
This is the success of star wars if you look at it. George Lucas wanted unknown actors.
Woah .. Mind blown ..
Kill Bill is a good example of a Great Female Lead
Leia Organa from Star Wars, Ellen Ripley from Aliens, Sarah Connor from Terminator.... All strong females... and men loved them! ❤
@@J.L.CedanoBattle Angel Alita another one.
That's why Captain Marvel and the live-action Mulan did so fucking badly. They just had their power given to them, and now they're all "I'm a strong independent woman who don't need to listen to no man!" (exactly the sentiment at the end of Captain Marvel when she blasts Yonn-Rog and is like "I don't have to prove anything to you!" YES YOU DO BECAUSE YOU DIDN'T EARN ANYTHING)
It's shitty writing, they're incapable of creating a believable backstory/hero's journey for some reason for this, or they just don't want to to push the notion of feminist supremacy (because the 'patriarchy' or some nonsense).
People are tired of being lectured at in their entertainment. They just want good stories so they can escape from this shitty reality we're ALL stuck in, men and women alike. Preaching about how bad everyone but the vocal minority that doesn't even consume your content is is not the way to gain viewers or earn money.
KK loves to gaslight people, she is the reason Star Wars died a long time ago.
Youre 100% right. The writers are absolutely awful. It starts there. and their actors are AWFUL for promotion.
Who else didn’t know this show was even out?
thats the funny part this is damage control for next week when the show premiere comes out.
@@AndreNitroX Oh right, next week. Yeah I will be to busy watching other stuff.

Termiantor 2 had the best "girl power" moments in any movie ever across the board.
Yup, and it fit the plot. Mom knows a terrible war is coming and her son will be the focal point of it, so she does everything she can to protect him knowing the rest of the world won't take her seriously. Nowhere once is it implied she's better than men or that the men are inept, etc.
True
Long Kiss Goodnight had its moments as well.
Ask Cameron what Girl power is and how to make it good entertainment
Something I loved about Terminator 2 is that Sarah Conner is also being a mother in her own way. She doesn't resent John or abandon him, she's always there for him in the way that she believes she needs to be. In fact, this movie made her realize that she was doing things a little too much in the wrong way, despite the good intentions. She even grows to trust and feel sympathy towards the T-800 that is protecting them.
Kunt-eddy: It's men's fault Star Wars is failing REEEE!
Fans: I reject your Star Wars and substitute with my own.
I guess I should be happy to take this credit for something awesome I didn't do, thanks! :)
ooohhhh yeah...Underworld...when vampire and werewolf stuff was still cool :3
I loved Underworld. All of the movies! I should rewatch it! :333
theyve really never had any other message...
There she is! Glad to see you safe and sound given everything transpiring in Texas. You and your family have definitely been in my prayers 🙏
But without missing a bit, you're back and doing one of the things you're best at - going _boom!_
Thank you so much, it means a lot :)
What happened in Texas?
@@Sylentmanalots of bad weather. Tornadoes.
@@erroneous6947 dang, glad she’s safe then
@@Sylentmana I don't think many houses in Texas have basements. I could be wrong. It isn't like the midwest where nearly every home has a basement/ storm shelter nearby. We don't have a basement but we have a above ground storm shelter that's basically an above ground bunker. I hope Melonie has one.
Well, it's not technically out so it can't have failed yet. However, they must know it's a stinker since they're really getting out in front of it.
agreed. As a 40+ white male, I adore strong female characters as long as they're written well.
The irony of a cartoon character said this would happen.
I’m willing to take credit. 😈
They’re getting ahead aren’t they? Acolyte hasn’t started streaming yet.🤷♂️
It's their standard anti-marketing they've been using for over a decade.
They're doing their best to make people not waste their time on watching it.
they know they made shit that won't be good, and rather than take responsibility, they'll blame the largest demographic which star wars was originally for.
Why isn't Mel Gibson in any of the new Mad Max movies? He IS Mad Max!
I can't say I've liked any of them that he wasn't in.
I read he didn't like being in apocaylpse movies that much. I haven't put any research in that claim though. Some actors just don't like a lot of the stuff they're in. Like the guy who played Edward in Twilight.
Because the character has been hijacked and Womanated
Just give me a sequel to Apocalypto, and I'll be content.
@@liamroberts1458 Oh yes. Such a good film. I watched it several times. So good.
1:40 « maybe you need to think » you already lost them by saying that lmao
When it comes to movies, TV shows, comics, manga, anime, etc. There are only two things I care about. Good storytelling and good characters. That’s it. Everything else is secondary and just background for me. Also, if your product is resonating with your audience. It’s you, not them.
They made their bed so long ago it's buried in a foot of sand with them still lying in it.
Despite their finger-pointing, they are still losing millions of dollars.
And the drumbeat of the haters continues to drum on.
Meanwhile, in a galaxy not so far, far away, the true fans of Star Wars are playing the Imperial March on loop! Thanks for this video, Melonie Mac! Go Boom!
I agree with you over the Mary-Sue, no one can relate with one and relating with a character makes the film so much better.
Disney proving that even in a galaxy far, far away that black kids still don't have fathers.
Story story story. We need an adventure, a memorable excitement and interesting plot.
What do we get?
- an ideology add.
They do not have a story to tell us, they have ideology as base and then think ways to rub it in our faces.
Best chick flick ever is Kill Bill.
You said claymore and man, I forgot about that anime/manga. So good. Thanks for that!
Its refreshing to hear a female perspective. You are right on point and saying everything that normal sensible people are saying. I would like to hear what they call you for your opinion. Misogynistic? LOL
LUCAS: The force itself created Anakin.
DISNEY: Anyone can create life from nothing if they really really want to.
Another great vid Melonie! Don't understand why all/most of the "modern" strong women also have to be totally insufferable. Aloy, reboot Lara, every Marvel and Star Wars woman...the list goes on and on. Glad you mentioned Underworld franchise, it's one of my favorites.
You're the best, thank you so much! 🥹
Aloy's actually a good character, but beyond that, I agree.
@@kaliefaul1905 Mostly I am ticked off on what they did to her in the Burning Shores DLC. However, they made her pretty annoying in the rest of Forbidden West as well compared to HZD. But yes, I agree with you as well. They are still two very fun games to play.
Isn't even out yet. And the blame game is already in full
I'm so checked out of modern movies that the only thing that makes me go to theaters is when it truly is a representation of classic films. I went to see Godzilla minus one and that is the first film I have gone to the theaters to see since Avengers endgame
I walked out of Endgame half way through when I realized every 2 min I could predict what would happen next
Blame's the wrong word. We should be congratulated.
Ah yes, not everyone likes Crapalyte. Some of us have standards of Star Wars.
Sailor moon is one of the biggest animes ever. just throwing it out there
Slayers has always been one of my favorites...
IS it wrong that i feel we and myself as a men are the ones who are getting discriminated based on sex these days? cause it sure feels like it.
She's forgetting there are female leads in star wars but she's purposely forgetting about that

The new girl power stuff is easy to figure out. They write the part for a man, then put a woman in the part. Then they make the other men weak to further raise the woman.
Very well said!
Put a chick in it and make her lame and gay
thats what the modern mentality and LGBTQ movement does, suffering inferiority and identity therefore you gotta bring everyone else down. camouflage it as `equality`

Ma’am, you have spoken nothing but facts in this video
Like everyone is saying: if you exclude men from your show and say it isn’t for them, then they’re not gonna watch. You can’t make a show for .01% of the population and expect everyone to love it, let alone the fact that it’s all a horrible story with bad characters and bad writing.
