This estate is such iconic area it has a violent history but the amount of talented artist that have come from there is amazing love and respect from new York
This was the best video so far, and definitely the direction you should be going in. Actually speaking to the people who live there, getting shown around. 10/10 for this one mate.
Don’t matter where you go there’s always violence etc it’s about the community and the people that care about the young and up coming teachers need to teach the kids how to be respectful etc specially if they have no roll models in der life
The inspiration behind that large waterfall mural came from the first one painted by local resident, Anthony Steele RIP in 1987. Named 'The Peace Mural' and featured the faces of Martin Luther King, Bob Marley, Gandhi, John Lennon and people dancing in front of a similar waterfall.
This estate looks nothing like I thought it would ! It’s hard to believe the reputation Broadwater Farm has . I’m not from London so apart from what I’ve read in newspapers and seen on tv I knew very little about the estate . It actually looks like a far nicer place to be than Heygate or Aylesbury estates did . This was really interesting . Thank you .
This video is so wholesome and nostalgic to watch. My sister lived in Croydon block. Broadwater Farm was a community within a community back then. I remember Tangmere block having its own mini shopping centre in the middle of the first floor. And the landings that connected all of the blocks, so you wouldn't have to go to the ground level to get around the estate 😍🥰
Weirdly just decided to watch a tour of BWF as I lived there in the early 80s as a small child. It was about the same time of the riots. My father was well known in the area at the time and was told when the riots were gonna kick off. On the night we left we were stopped by PC Blackelock
Lived on the Farm, late 70s. The place still had the walk ways connecting the blocks. Lived on Tangmire. use to have free heating, suicide jumps of Northolt. Schools change a lot, use to back onto the lido.
Thanks for this man, brings back a lot of memories. Used to live in Debden from '02 to 2013, came back into the estate for the first time in a while, now we're losing tangmere and northolt. Good content man keep it up!
I was living next to it 12-15 years ago, and it was ok. Felt safe. Served some community hours in broadwatter farm, used to sneak in at night and smoke weed in the greenhouse))) It was quite a friendly area considering i am a white foreigner and local "gangsters" were quite friendly overall. Although i don't symphatise crime
I’ve never been round any of these estates or places apart from the recent Handsworth one as I live in the West Midlands. But I find them really interesting 👊
What was it like back when you lived here? What was the community like, what did you and other people who lived here get up to in or around the estate?
Spent a lot of my younger years on broadwater. My dad lived in Tangmere. I remember those rat runs that connected the blocks, remember them being torn down as well.

How are they getting stabbed in the neck are there slicing them or chopping or they actually shoving a knife through
The riots happend in 1985 not 1986

Go evening night time
The last scene was in the evening around 7.30
Since 2005 Lowest crime rate of any estate in the world. Don't believe me check wiki
Wiki 😂 and definitely not anyway estates in places in Surrey would have alot lower crime rate than bwf
Abracadabra got bored by Lampz and he’s there acting tough » when I was on my ones just had 3 of the OFB’s just doing up dashing «
