    You are absolutely right
I am now trying to find ways to sell and give away… both my parents have passed away… it’s not easy letting go… maybe also the fear of will I be able to buy it again?
But I also lived for a year without my stuff and saw that it was ok… life was ok…
    Thanks for the video🙏🏻

Thank YOU for the message and for watching! Letting go is one of the hardest things I've ever had to do. You'll get there. Be gentle with yourself.

I thought what you said was Brilliant. Totally resonated with you. Especially how your stuff 'aligns' with your relationships. That was a light bulb moment for me. I was filling my home with stuff, thinking it was pleasing my family. Tysm.

Your life story reminds me of mine. So much moving around as a kid really impacted my need to “consume” and collect as an adult. I love your direct communication style. Liked and subscribed! Good luck with your channel!!!

Seems like the shaming part is from those who think living a Minimalist lifestyle, having a Spartan-furnished home, is bizarre.
“Where’s all your stuff? Where’s all your furniture? Are you moving or becoming a monk?”
Living in the USA is difficult for those of us eschewing “more stuff” for a simpler lifestyle. Everything here is geared toward “buying more junk you don’t need” in a vain pursuit of…I don’t know, impressing people, wowing them with all your possessions, etc.
Not me, not anymore. Wasted too much time, money, and energy in pursuit of material items for reasons I rationalized lamely or never even gave thought about. It’s a bad habit; buying and shopping to buy more is a hamster on a wheel.
But inside I knew and felt “Less is More” and now in retirement I can live the way I want, spend time the way I choose.

Nearly 3 years ago the love of my life died by suicide one month before my 65th birthday. In an effort to keep living, I bought vitamins from online influencers. These vitamins have made no impact on my health or any feeling of vitality, but I thought the investment in my health would prevent me from also ending my life. I was wowed by their marketing, but it was a waste of money. I've recently decluttered a lot because I had so much invested in a fantasy retirement that never happened, and I now face a future of my 95-year-old father's accumulated hoarding that will be my inheritance and burden.

I'm so sorry for your loss! I can't imagine how that must feel. Thank you for continuing to push through each day and find meaning in your life. Please get the emotional support you need when life feels like more than you can handle. There is no shame in asking for help - 988 in the US.
