Brendan's press conference on Friday told you everything you needed to hear from a manager. I am really looking forward to watching Brendan's squad develop over the season. There is a reason why most managers play a possession based game and that is what won us the derby on Sunday. Keep up the excellent work on the podcast. The final word to Rangers...Booooooooooooooooooooooooo.
If we are talking negatives, Abada was in Sterlings pocket most of that game total embarrassment. Taylor is just a shocking first choice LB all round, Turnbull is so slow to move and think he isn't good enough. Lager got quite a bit of abuse, he was targeted for most of that second half as Scales was mopping up everything. He done his job really well for 90%.
What I like about this podcast is how much you acknowledge rangers and please hear me out here. I hate all this "obsessed" chat. Of course we are gonna be interested in our greatest rivals. Whether that to laugh at them when they faulter or just to gage where our club is.
Celtic fans so 90s stuff coming. They were more obsessed then because all there was was the tv and physical copies of the papers. If social media was about then, they would have been worse, it would have been far more vitriolic and venomous. I still have h*n acquaintance who call us beggars. They are as thick as shite and twice as smelly.
When the team dropped on Sunday I knew we would do it. We picked a team in which apart from Lagerbhoy all knew how to beat Rangers. Granted not altogether. But they had done it. Beale's team is more stinking than the Rangers Rodgers faced in 2017 was the other factor. We all need to ease up on players like Scales. They have role and a critical part to play for us.I've said since he scored against TheRangers2012 in May that "Scales deserves a run out against them....." Bhoy did he prove it. As soon as we kicked off against them on Sunday the changes Rodgers has made to the team over August made absolute sense.
Been looking forward to this and as usual it didn't disappoint! Top show guys , Celtic more comfortable than we thought and there isn't enough pain in the world for the orcs.
Made a comment last week that going to ibrox, 50K home fans etc.... Might actually help us in the sense that the crowd will not accept rangers sitting in and trying to frustrate us the way Killie & St Johnstone did. That is more or less what happened. The ibrox crowd was on their team's case after about 15 mins, wanting them to press us more, get in Cal Mac's face etc.... In the end it could've been 2 or 3-0 heading into the last 25 mins if we'd been a bit more clinical. Moving forward, we'll have a much better idea if we're going to kick on from this victory when we face Dundee at CP. Dundee will surely bunker down in the same manner as Killie & St Johnstone and try and frustrate us. What we need to see vs Dundee is an intensity and energy in our play that really hasn't been there so far this season vs the other teams. The result on Sunday was great and quite frankly it is the only thing that matters when you play them BUT - The bigger picture is that we've scored just one goal in our last 3 games, so we shouldn't be thinking that everything is rosey again simply because we went to ibrox and ground out a result. We need to start performing vs the other teams in the division, starting with Dundee
"A performance like that can kick a season on" - Well said Jamie, I think the season has started here. I know you can't really say that or excuse our poor results with it, but I'm definitely seeing an upward trajectory from here. Being kicked out the cup and tying at home was the bottom for us, the only way was up baby.
I'll watch this later but I thought Scales had a monster no nonsense performance. Lagerbielke was obviously bad but it's a big game and there was no choice. Absolutely no excuses can be made of Taylor and Turnbull though. They were absolutely shocking. Maeda has to play practically as a defensive winger for the majority of the game and basically can't be substituted because no one on the bench would do that. Hatate with one leg would sure up that side of the pitch better.

Makes you wonder why it took Brendan 4 games to realise that if your plan is to sit in ,retain possession and deploy Callum McGregor as a poor man’s Scott Brown it will invite teams onto you ,nullify his influence on the game and ultimately give teams more of a chance than they would have done had you simply tweaked what was a very successful plan laid out by the previous Manager and gently eased your own methods in? Two reasons we won that game. 1 Brendan reverted back to the high pressing ,higher tempo Celtic under Postecoglou and as a result the key man in his approach McGregor showed his true worth in a Celtic side. 2 Beale totally misread the room and for reasons only known to him had expected Brendan to carry on with the tactics witnessed in our 4 previous games. 4 games where Callum McGregor became a non entity as an influence and where teams were able to press us high and get some joy doing so. My biggest fear wasn’t the team selection no it was us rocking up there with a 4-3-3 with Callum McGregor being man marked out the game by a high pressing Rangers and effectively having us defending a 90 minute bombardment of our 18 yard box. I was looking forward to seeing the new additions come into the team, like Johnston last year. Not going to lie, I had the fear when I saw the line-up and it turned out okay. The Huns were appallingly bad. Was a great result but the performance was poor. To be expected somewhat because of the injuries.
Tremendous podcast guys. Think the club might have been hoping for tierney on loan and then scrambling to get one in once he moved. Based on nothing, just a hunch.
The point that Lager kicked Dessers leg first and so it was a foul for Rangers is hilarious When a players trips another it is the offender's leg that is kicked not the victim's! So anybody that seriously claims Dessers was the victim is a total idiot, frankly.
Lot of angry bears clinging onto a decision to justify their incompetence. The fact is, Rangers had well over an hour to find an equaliser. They couldn't do it. Even with 50k home fans and a depleted celtic backline. The roofe goal was a foul. Its literally in the rule book. Whether they agree or not isnt relevant. Great show as always you beautiful human beings - great character shown today.
A Brendan Rogers masterclass??? Really? What a rubbery statement, I am gob smacked. Brilliant to get the points but what a forgetful performance. How quickly we have forgotten what flowing football looks like.
HH BHOYS Brilliant pod chat listen to a sevco channel saying a lot but the 1 CL SAYING WE WILL GET COUGHT OUT & CELTIC GET HUMILATRED BRING THEM DOWN TO EARTH (US) Celtic must not let this happen hh ktf
Think honestly the mindset going in was slightly misguided. We weren’t as big underdogs as everyone made out. Nae doubt they were the favourites, but when have they looked good against us? (Barring that 3-0 at Ibrox, which whatever fair enough). We have the better manager, still, with a depleted squad, better key players and more experienced winners. Brendan got it so spot on its not even funny. Tactics were immaculate and squeezed every ounce out of our players. People really seemed to forget how second rate they are, truly a Pish side. Even in the second half it’s always gonna be nervy when it’s a slim lead and we’re the ones defending, but go back and watch - they hardly threatened. Utter dross. Hail fucking hail up those zombies. 🍀🍀
@@20MinuteTims Fair point, but they’re also coming off the back of a 5-1 loss and hardly great performances before that also. Main weakness for us was a totally unknown CB partnership but I was a bit more confident knowing how wasteful and toothless they are.

How quickly we have forgotten what flowing football looks like.
a lot of stabby destinations there 😆😆
Loading midfield/wings due to Asian games?
Fun episode
Rodgers is a rolls Royce Beale is a not so reliant robin 😆
Has someone put MSG in these tears😂 they're extra tasty today!😋😋😋😋☘️☘️☘️☘️
The buzz is going out of the old firm as rangers are complete muck.
wizny a miracle. it was elite manager v crappy coach. enevitable really. back under yir stones ya muppets😂
We got away with one… maybe two… I’ve seen plenty Derby games being decided by dubious referees.
As brilliant as Carter-Vickers is, I think it was against Kilmarnock that he made a real blunder, as well as just not looking motivated.
Think it was as much to do with the crap performances against Killie and St J as them supposedly being a good team
@@20MinuteTims Fair point, but they’re also coming off the back of a 5-1 loss and hardly great performances before that also.
Main weakness for us was a totally unknown CB partnership but I was a bit more confident knowing how wasteful and toothless they are.
Delighted but honestly we looked no better than in the two games prior. Rangers are just that bad
HH BHOYS MAEDA'S CROSES ARE STILL IN PLAY Q SO WHERE IS THE WINGER THAT SHOULD BE OUT THERE NOTHING WRONG WITH THE CROSES JUST WINGERS NOT WHERE THEY SHOULD BE HH KTF
Apparently the papal visit over 30 yrs ago kickstarted all this. So thanks Pope John Paul II I guess?
I know you Scottish lads show favouritism for scottish players but you have to mention how bad Greg Taylor was and has been, watch it back his first 3/4 attempts to distribute the ball we’re all over the place.
He doesn’t look assured at all!
Foul - the player has intercepted the defender in action of playing the ball
No foul - aye well he's been caught there spent too long on it, is a foul in the rules but not for me...
Scales was caught lacking for every opportunity sevco had, I have no idea who thought that was a MOTM performance? Get him back to the reserves until January then get rid, he got lucky one time against a terrible team
Best Celtic fans podcast by far, great dialogue with the cherry on top by calling Beale the fat salesman 🤣🤣💚💚
Haha! Thanks very much. Appreciate the support 💚
Celtic only got 3 points due to a refereeing error. The result must be viewed in that context.
What error?
@@Mantis_Toboggan_MD. Rangers scored a perfectly good goal that was wrongly ruled out by VAR. watch yesterdays edition of Sky Sports ‘Ref Watch’. They take a particular interest in pointing how just this bizarre that decision was on Saturday.
@@BillyMcMorran It was a clear foul. If some pundits think it wasn't a foul, that doesn't change anything.
Two current SPFL referees thought it was a foul and recently retired SPFL ref Bobby Madden, also thought so. He even gave a very detailed breakdown as to why it was a foul & explanation of the rules.
"Oh but [insert former Charlton Athletic player or whoever] thought it wasn't a foul" is neither here nor there.
@@Mantis_Toboggan_MD. It was a clear foul? Viewed through green tinted speaks I can imagine it is. However, back in reality, the rest of us still don’t know what that goal was disallowed for. The former pro refs in England were scratching their heads at it yesterday. They couldn’t even see anything that might be considered a foul on Sky Sports ref watch.
@@BillyMcMorran Cry harder Billy!
When I seen the line up🫢when I watched the game 😃 when we got the result 😂😂😂😂
Who they going to ban now? The rangers fans 😂😂 boo boo
It wer a fowl 4ya goal. U team wer cheatn. We had more corners dan u. U got looky
Fowl? Cluck cluck. For a team whose supporters are pro-UK, a lot of you have a very hard time with basic English.
@@doggowhisperer6844 m8 I gt disbilitis
@@markfeely4215 fair enough but if you don’t like it then stay away from stupid comments on Celtic videos and maybe stick to comments on Rangers videos about what your team could be doing better
@@doggowhisperer6844 we was robed by the ref m8. It wer a joke. Ya guys gt lucky. We batter ya. The counsil r moving me to Glasgow 4 me safety. Is it a nice city?
Fowl?? Are you a headless chicken ?😂😂
I can’t believe the guy said Maeda was one of the best players. Really ? I’ve honestly never seen such a shitty crosser of the ball. The only two things he has is fitness and pace . I hope Palma gets fit soon . What a result though and I was the same about Scales but he stepped up , however against any decent team we would have got pumped.
Maeda goesflying into tav studs up 2 feet off the ground no a word said dont make me laugh. Corrupt to the core. And my religion is fitba by the way.
Aye? Mind the Goldson TOTALLY IGNORED handballs last season? X4 times TWICE against Celtic.
Piss off hun.
No, not true, I saw the match. Prove this lie of yours.
Have you watched cantwell diving the whole game 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

I never got the crap before the game. That mob are pish. Just got horsed out of champions league. Not 1 of their 11 would get in ours.
Micky moleinho was fucking ragin as well as clueless ! As for the roofe goal now I know how we feel ! But bare in mind ITS THE RULES 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂🖕🏻🍀
To say that’s the worst Celtic team to start at ipox is a fucking joke to b honest iv seen a helluva lot worse don’t know how long uv been watching Celtic but that’s definitely NOT the worst Celtic team to start during my time I’m 42 so behave yes we had a makeshift defence but otherwise was a good attacking team talented ball playing midfielders then we have kyogo who’s superb infront of goal 🍀
