Thank you for the video! Later this year I may go with either this or the Reserve R300. Might be worth saving the money for the ES30, though. (Have an Emotiva amp handling my towers so power I don't expect will be an issue.)
Good sale now on, so looking at Polk E350 @ $299.00 CAD and the Klipsch Reference Next-Generation R-50C @ $278, can't decide between the two. Any advice would be helpful Reply
I admit to be a beginner when it comes to understanding and building a system, and you explained it beautifully. Can't wait to see your other videos, great channel!
The speaker comes with little caps covering the holes of the bananaplug ports. I didn't need to unscrew the binding posts, but the caps still had to be removed. And they were a pain lol.
Thanks for the review - have ordered the Polk ES30 (black friday deal well under 159.99 quid) and hope it lives up to your observations. Otherwise, it is going back..😀
You won't be disappointed, I just watched Godzilla on it and I was blown away. A great reference film due to the deep sub bass and impactful sound design.
@@nloop it's coming tomorrow. It's a beautiful speaker design. But I am going to use it vertically to stop the woofers cancelling each other out. Will angle them upwards from the floor (on a small stand), and hopefully get a wider audio field. Thanks 👍 again.
@@nloop Tested them out last night both horizontally and vertically. You were spot on with your review. These sound amazing both ways. I decided to just put it under the cabinet with the lip right up to the edge to stop refraction, and I am surprised that the on-axis response is wide and all three seats get good clear sound at around 7.5 ft. There is a little bit of extra bass, which I tamed by putting some acoustic foam behind the speaker, but not in front of the power port, it stops the sound from hitting the wall and causing resonances. All in all a beautiful piece of furniture. Polk really did a brilliant job on these. They are for keeps 😀
I will have to disagree.. I spent 2 yrs educating myself on speakers i could not afford. once my budget forced me down a bit it came to the polk or the sony. both were about the same price but the sony speakers are the real winner. in the end it comes down to everyones personal taste.
ES is a good line for the price. Really good for the price.

Great video...what is the distance from the middle of the woofer to the middle of the other woofer on the ES30?
You don’t have to unscrew the binding post you can just plug straight in.

@ZZ-ou7gp how does mounting them vertically help with them "cancelling" each other out? The woofers are still right next to each other.
Какой лучше es 30 или es35 в России сложно купить
Great video man. What is your TV/entertainment console?
I was just wondering the same thing! Nice clean set-up.
Thanks! THe Tv is the LG C2 OLED, and the Receiver is the Yamaha RXV385

R300 or es30 pls suggest which is better.
R300 is their higher-end product, so I assume that. But I have never tested it myself.
I hv es60. With es30. But want to up-grate to r300 with es60
Will it be matched?
do you have review of the vanatoo t1 encore plus?
Actually, I am working on that now, and should have that done in a few weeks!
@@nloop thank you! I am waiting for reviewers to make reviews for these speakers.
