I liked the Models of Yesteryear best! So much so that I had the full set for Christmas around 1961,or loved the little Alchin traction engine, and the horse drawn Shand Mason fire engine, still got them in good condition, but, no boxes, unfortunately. Got a nice 1914 Sunbeam motor bike with sidecar in a near perfect box though, well worth having.
Hi David As a child I had hundreds of matchboxes with all the carry cases and I spent many hours playing with them I had a lot of the construction models and some larger scale models. Those were my happiest days when I would spend hours playing with them Your videos are very knowledgeable and I learned so much Thanks and hope to see more of your videos 👍
My brother and I each had our own Matchbox Catalog!! We'd get one every time we went to the store (most sold Matchbox)!! We had many of the models, but never owned a carry case.
Very cool! I have a mustang in about mint condition with a mint condition box! I am a huge vintage matchbox and redline collector! if I ever decide to sell I might let you know!

Very cool, I had the Merc Ambulance & Greyhound bus around this time. The Merc survived right up until my nepher got his hands on it in the mid 1990s.

The cars I collect date from 1956-68. The REAL Matchbox. Regular Wheels. Nothing else will do.
I have the Models Of Yesteryear 1907 London E Class Tramcar "NEWS OF THE WORLD".
I have a 1968 catalogue.

My advice. If you find a Matchbox after your own heart, and it doesn't have the Lesney name, don't buy it!
