Great vid -- lots of good info. Im a good weather rider -- did get go out the other week on on my Master in overcast but no rain called for for another couple hrs - it started to drizzle a bit and it worried me a bit, now thinking I should get this wheel just in case, and it is wet weather proven👍
I really like to have a rain option it helps me feel like the wheel actually can replace a vehicle. I dont mind being exposed to the elements as I’m used to it on my motorbike. Just have to get the right gear to be safe and comfy. Thanks so much for always watching.
Your V14 is awesome. And I just got mine 😉 My loyal V11 has gone through so much. It even got literally submerged for some seconds in a mountain stream. Only the rear LED board had to be replaced. These EUCs are very well designed. But they have to be properly assembled. I recommend to check them before exposing them to these treatment. Some arrive perfect and some needing to tight things up. Strong rain always bothers my eyes; I ended adding RainX to my helmet's visor and it helps a lot. I would not recommend to apply compressed air to any rear shock. To be safe, I use just a dry cloth. Great video, with many useful advises. Thanks for sharing.
I heard about V12 and V13 wheels damaged by rain. My V12HT is fine but still I am not sure about IP rating of inmotion wheels. But I am pretty sure that V14 is better than the predecessors (at least the screen is very solid - that was point of ingress of some V12/V13) so I believe that V14 is very solid rain wheel. Every single wheel should be like this!
I have to say I’ve had pretty good luck with INMOTION and have put my wheels through a bunch of really crappy weather here where we live. my V11 had early bearings go issues which my dealer sorted with the bearing cover since then it has been flawless is floods even. The V13 I had some ghost touches on the screen, this we figured only happens if you touch the screen once it is already wet. Other than that V13 was really good In wet. I agree I think the V14 is designed to improve on all the glitches of the last gen wheels. So far so good! Thanks so much for taking the time for a great comment.
My V12HT got fried, didn't dry enough before trying to charge. Otherwise maybe would have been fine. But if water is trapped inside, it's hard to say how long it would need to air out for before safe to charge.
I got soaked to the bone last fall riding the s22 in a rainstorm I dont recommend the black Hillbilly gloves in rain, my hands were all colored after the ride from wearing them The ride was alot of fun though, and having a big cup of warm cocoa after.
Great tip! Not only those gloves I’ve had cheap ones run red dye over everything. Good reputable gear is worth the $$$ sometimes. happy rain rolling to you :) be safe man
Nicely spotted! I was worried when I got home but it was just flat. I rushed the video to capture the rain and didn’t get long to charge it up. they are waterproof if you clip the rubber protector on. They are charging now no problem. They look great in the rain the extra glow reflects and looks cool 😎
Only light rain, I really do think it will be fine. it has the same rating as my V11 and that went through wet hell. I think light rain and splash would be fine but maybe watch really heavy stuff. best advice is to check what your dealer suggests that way they can help cover if it goes bad.
i had my v14 die for 2 days off wet weather getting into the headlight and powerbuttonand i went for this over lynx for the ip rating but many dealers dont cover watenty over waterdamage so ip rating isnt everyting as it wont be coved if it brakes due to water so take it with a pinch of salt lol amazing video as always bro
Damn man, I do feel for you and do understand what you are saying. It is a really complicated area I guess as some dealers may and some may not. For me I’d be reaching out to Inmotion just to double check they are pretty good at helping out and they should be made aware if there is an issue. Hopefully you are still rolling and maybe can you DIY a bit of silicone or tape over it? You shouldn’t be made to do it but if it helps save you then maybe best to add another layer of protection. Thanks so much for sticking by my channel. Cheers
I'm always happy to see women riding PEVs but seeing that woman on an esk8 without any gear stressed me out. BTW, I watched this video review of the V14 and the reviewer's love for the V14 is off the charts! ruclips.net/video/Px1Tf7BS0m0/видео.html
yea I was just out rolling the wet and came across other people crazier than me :) That lady looked very confident on her eskate but yea - HELMET! Protect that awesome hair!
Awesome, so much v14 riding content to demonstrate how it handles in various conditions. Thanks.
Thanks so much for taking the time to let me know. Man I love NZ SO MUCH
My V12 HT has had it's second battery failure so I just ordered the V14... I ride rain or shine so I needed something like this.

Yes, I spent more and waited longer for the V14

My v12 ht got waterdamaged, still can’t ride 7 months later from foot injury
Awesome info
Thanks man I hope it helps I had a good time running in the rain :)
So, from time to time we all have to give our wheels a good.... what was that!? (12:19) 😛
your content is so helpful you are GOATED mate 🐐
The most majestic of beats :) thanks man. appreciate the kind words
Have you throw it in a pond to test your theory like the A2?
What kind of lights are under the v14?

@0:22 does your shredlight SLFX underglow still work? Looks like it died.
