As a wanna be technical founder I found this video very motivating. This is exactly what I have been thinking, but since I haven't yet proven myself by being succesful, I can't be sure if my direction is right. Yeah, it is.
I am glad you found this video inspirational. Best of luck on your startup journey.
Great info! Never heard some of these anywhere else!!!

Thanks for the question. I've done AMA sessions before, and I'll do them again :-)!
Brett, thank you another great video. I'm currently in college and trying to look for co-founder(technical). I heard that is hard to see a someone's true color before starting a startup with them. Are there any ways to see someone's true color even before starting a startup?
Thanks for the kind words. The questions I recommend in the video will help. However, the best protection you have is having a one year cliff on any equity you give co-founders and employees.
@@BrettFoxstartupceo Can vesting and cliff be more than a year? Also, can you do it multiple times, for example, vesting and cliff every time a startup raise money?
@@JamesCPark-qf5xd Your vesting should be at least four years with a one year cliff. You can do a longer cliff, but that's the standard cliff and vesting periods for stock options and equity. The funds you raise is separate from equity, so having the idea of having cliffs assigned after each round of funding doesn't make sense.
