That product did very well. It should be absolutely perfect for that bathroom vanity. Maybe painting would give even better results after using a primer first.
Hi Stephen a 100km round trip is a long journey! My nearest, Tridome, is around 60k round trip with Brico Marche and Brico Cash just a few K further. I do have a 100k round trip if I go to Leroy Merlin. The remorque is a great asset we use it for so many things. Regards JP
Extremely interesting! I am most interested in the weight component. I have just finished building six 2400x600 wardrobes and 12 full width drawers. I have never built anything like this before and was shocked at the weight of the carcass panels! After that experience, I am interested in anything that can provide the same structural integrity at 50% the weight - even at a 50% premium on the price 🤪🤣 I am also interested to hear how it glues together. I did a quick google search and it doesn't;t look as if it is available here in Poland. Decking, yes but not these panels.
HI 5, 10 and 15mm only. Getting my head around NOT having 18 mm here is weird. Of course 18 mm is 3/4" so only really exists for countries using imperial measurements . Here we see 16mm MDF / Plywood. Regards JP
Briliant, thanks for looking into it. Maybe I missed it, but do you have any idea on what the general name of this material is? Is there anything on the packaging? I googled it here in The Netherlands, couldn't directly find it. I hate working with MDF, avoid it like the plague, but this looks very useful for some applications.
HI. The product is called Xyltech and made by a company called SEPDA. see 3:00 Unfortunately their website sedpa.com/ is under construction. Regards JP
An interesting review JP this is not something I have seen in the UK at present. When you said vegetable based, it immediately reminded me of the banana (shaped) wood that our big box stores sell over here.😂 I would be interested to know how the product glues and with what types of glue. Interestingly, having not seen them before, I've just recently noticed that B&Q online are selling parquet boards such as those you use with tongue and groove on both edges and both ends and anti-cupping grooves underneath. They say it is Maritime Pine which I understand is Pinus Pinaster (typical habitat Western France, Northern Spain, Portugal). Typically, the illustration on their website shows a board with a large knot present so it doesn't look to be the quality of the timber you buy in France. They don't appear to stock it in store so I can't check it out.
Hi. We also have banana wood here :-) I think it will glue fine although it could be a bit slippery. I will try some. Your spot on wit the origin in the parquet. My local shop sells two kind - they were showed briefly. Standard at about 30 euro per pack and the Knot free at 54.00 The latter is perfect so I usually chose this as I can use every last piece of it. There are 5 pieces per pack and when compared to standard 1 x 6 timber (PSE / PAR) it is very competitive. Regards JP

HI. Yes it will be perfect. I will try a primer. Regards JP
Would probably be good for Campervan builds, keeping stuff as lightweight as possible. 👍
Yes. That's a very good call. Regards JP
Interesting product. What about glueing? It would be interesting to see how good it takes glue and how strong too.
HI. I will make some tests and publish the results in short video. Regards JP
A trailer is essential if you are in rural France - and it has to be able to take a full sized 8x4 (2440x1220) sheet.
I was 50k from a Brico Depot :-(

It looks like it would be good for decking
Hi. Yes, composite decking and boat decking appears to be their main business. Regards JP

I made a staircase a few years ago and couldn’t budge it once it was all together 🙊 Regards JP
Would your v mitre joint be smoother if a little heat was applied with a heat gun.
HI. Maybe, its a good call. I could try with the blowtorch carefully. I don't own a heat gun! Regards JP
Looks like an interesting and flexible product. Don't forget to fish those bits out of the pool!
Hi Paul. Sadly the pool is being drained as I type, I fear the end of summer is here :-( Regards JP
Ineresting product. Do they do an 18mm and what type of glue do you use on it. Great video as always.
@@Smallbarnworkshop yup, lit a fire last night! It's chilly!
Yes, we have had our wood burner on too. It was late October last year! R JP

So at 30% there is more Veg in this stuff than the average school meal.
@@garyhenderson9303 Hi Gary 😂 and a square foot of board counts as one of your five a a day. Regards JP
Interesting. Thanks for all the testing. What effect does CA glue have on it?
Hi. I have had a few questions regarding glues already. I will make a quick following up video with the answers. Regards JP

Why is there a gap underneath your track? Kinda defeats the purpose of having a track saw….
Interesting product though.
Hi Denis. I made this video that explains why. ruclips.net/video/x_XMqcbpTA8/видео.html Regards JP
