Im tempted to snag one of these guys on FB market for $100 but I mainly use an airbrush for priming, base coating, varnish, and chipping medium. I got a cheap Amazon one atm that came with a mini compressor for like $50 that claims to be 40psi... it be a nice upgrade from my cheap one... but I'd still use it for my usual tasks...
I’m sticking with my 0.30 Kustom series… The BCS is awesome for big murals and fast/cleaner color changes! Really good brush for beginners though! Cheap and readily available at all hobby stores! Great video!
I own the Iwata CMC PLUS but, I’ve owned this the HP BCS for so long. your video really makes me want to start using it again because it’s a great airbrush! Thanks for posting this video! Truly informative and fun to watch!
The CMC plus is one of my all time favs, but the BCS is truly loads of fun to use (even for me as I rarely use a siphon feed airbrush). I am glad you enjoyed the vid, more iwata airbrush reviews are coming in the same format so stay tuned 😉
I bought myself one of these for christmas, but realized that only being siphon fed was a real limiting factor for what I do. I needed a .5mm airbrush, but I rarely need a whole bottle worth of paint. So I returned it and bought a Sparmax DH-125 which can use a paint pot or a bottle and is .5mm. The Iwata was slightly nicer though. Although I have no complaints about the Sparmax.
Fair enough and thanks for sharing, just for your info (I'm sure you are probably aware) that you can get smaller bottles to fit your bcs as I agree the one that comes with it is huge, but I guess it makes sense as T-shirt artists are the ones who use this brush the most and definitely go through the paint . 😉
Tried painting a Mtn Bike frame with this, problem was with the high psi the paint was drying before it hit the metal, would leave a dust behind. If I lowered the psi it wouldn't flow. Probably a paint issue more than the gun itself, that and a lack of experience on my part.
I bought this brush for haunt makeup purposes and I’m struggling with airflow… my paint will basically overflow at the nozzle of the bottle and the paint won’t always spray. Then when I remove the bottle paint splatters everywhere from the nozzle… do you have any helpful tips?

I use this airbrush to paint guitar bodies. 40 psi with a .5 needle.
Fantastic, it definitely is a great brush 👍🏻👍🏻
