Sarah: a very nice start. I love the “randomness”of the ground materials and textures, besides the colors are super. Oh boy, looking forward to this project. Carol from California
I love your fields of green. I wanted to do something similar to that but after seeing Rachel's I thought it needed to be a bit more colourful. Now I see that it's personal preference in our choice of background fabrics, I will go back to my original plan. Thanks. Looking forward to seeing your final field of wildflowers. I will put mine up on facebook when I'm finished each prompt.
Wow! This is gorgeous! Love all the different textures! I'm still deciding on whether I want to use a rolling pin, make a spool or maybe even a panel! I have lots of ideas swirling around in my head! I am also still finishing up my winter journal as I go along. Thanks for hosting another wonderful slo-stitch project for this year! I am learning so much and really enjoying these projects!
You are getting a great start with beautiful colors. So anxious to get myself started. Glad you are doing horizontal. Thanks for taking time from your holiday to share with us.
I'm going back amd looking and Rachel and your's stitching. I am going to give it a go with family bits and others. I love dying fabric and paper bits. I was a quilter and did some cross stitch in years past never took up actual embroidery. Love y'alls take on stitching. Gove away I'm from south Carolina in the USA. Haha. Love your building
Your background is awesome!! I need to dye some cheesecloth for sure. Love the texture!! I'm very excited to get started. Enjoy your vacation and stay safe ❤️
Wow. Sarah this is absolutely amazing. I for sure don't have all the fabrics and trims that you girls have but I'm going to do this anyway. I'm going to make mine vertical like Rachel's, but I like the layered effect that you have and I will see what I can do with that. Thank you so much for doing this video in the midst of a vacation. You are really an awesome artist. Thank you so much
Wow! Love it, your fields are so exciting! Looking forward to seeing both you and Rachels pieces, as you progress... And looking at my stash to see what I got hidden away!
This is really beautiful! I thought I had a pretty good idea of the direction I wanted to start with until I watched your video. Now I'm like, "Hmmmmm" 🤔 I love all the hand dyed bits and the texture! 😊💜 BTW, Happy New Year!!!
I also painted some cloth for vol.3, while I waited in anticipation, except I used a watercolour and I painted a picture to stitch-colour-in. In anticipation! I've been collecting bits, as I've seen the pros do. I was thinking, I might back with hoop-sized blocks, so I could use a hoop for stitching, although I have already cut my fabric to size. But I could use my already cut pieces in a different project, I suppose. Right? I have used previously used an organza lace trim for structure where you have used your strips of cheesecloth. Yours gives you better texture. Yours makes a beautiful landscape. When I would go to my Grandmother's many years ago, there was a picturesque hillside only divided by crops and the colouration of sun-on-fields. Yours is like that, except I think your lace bits represent hedgerows. I am very excited to be beginning this project!
Excited to begin. Not sure how I am proceeding but I am thinking about it. Hope you and Rachel and your mom, do a video together. That would be a treat. Listening to your voices together would be so fun. ❤
I love this background!! After your next dye session, you might have other greens to add to this end, to carry the colors along, too. The gauzy fabric you weren't sure about, may be diaper gauze? It looks like the kind I used for my son, back in the early 80's.
Happy New Year Sarah! It’s so cool that you and Rachel are doing these slow stitch projects together. You each have such unique and individual ideas and styles.
Hi Sarah. Your background is gorgeous. I think I might dye some fabrics and laces for this project too. I am a bit lost when it comes to the flowers though. I am not sure what to do since I am not an experienced embroiderer. I need to think about it and make a plan. I'll see what other's share on the FB page and get some ideas. Thanks for all you do!
I think you will be able to do it. I use really simple stitches for flowers. Have a look at some on Pinterest for ideas. They often look more complex than they actually are 😊
Hi Sarah, your field is exactly what I would imagine a field for wild flowers. 💕
Oh I love this all the depth
Very rich and earthy looking. Beautiful. Mine won’t be anything like it!😊
Love the colours Sarah so natural looking Tfs.👍
My favorite project so far. It’s the flexibility that I like, no constraints to limit my creativity and ideas.
Gorgeous!!!
Love the field, Sarah…I find slow stitching even more of a rabbit hole than the public domain…lol. Thank you and Rachel for sharing!
You are so welcome!

Thank you so much!
Hi Sarah, it looks wonderful already and has given me lots of ideas, especially with the cheesecloth. Safe travels to Sidney ❤️🇨🇦
Loving the look of your background. It is so neat how you built it up and how it changed as you kept adding! Wonderful start!!!
Love this! I just dyed a bunch of fabrics too in greens and browns :D Must be the Aussie sun ;) TFS!
Absolutely beautiful!

Love this so much! So much texture! Like painting, with fibers! Can't wait to see what's next! Safe travels!
I live in the sumter national forest so I love nature. Very rural here

@@roxycreationsbysarah Pinterest is a great idea. Thanks for suggesting that. I don't usually go on Pinterest, but I will and take a look.
Sooo 😍love what you are doing ❣will you demonstrate how you dyed your fabrics and lace to get that marbled look?
Hi Brenda- I originally dyed the fabrics in this video ruclips.net/video/mCsBzcKiiv8/видео.html
Exited 😍🙌🌻🌼🏵🌻🌹🌼🌺
❤Buona serata ❤
This is so effective!!Absolutely love the greens. Do you have a video on the dying? ❤
I showed how I did some dying in this video ruclips.net/video/mCsBzcKiiv8/видео.html
Deliciously Beautiful.
Thank you 😋
❤️❤️❤️
That was beautiful but did we get the prompt?
Wild flowers.xx
Yes Rachel announced it in her video and I also mentioned it several times in mine
@roxycreationsbysarah8878 Sorry. I watched you first and in my enthusiasm didn't realize I should watch Rachael first.
🥰❤️🥰
Love the colours, but I thought we were doing wildflowers down the garden path???
We are...this is just her background! Rachel's is completely different. Watch her video for a whole viewpoint. Both are so nice!
Mine will have both wildflowers and a path by next week 😊I explained my ideas in the video. This is just my field
Ok thank you.
