  • This week we're off on the road to our neighbor to the south - Oklahoma! Taking my tiny diy vintage camper from city camping in the coolest urban campground to robbers cave state park. It is a beautiful state with a lot to offer whether you're camping in a 14 foot vintage camper or a 40 foot fifth wheel. Would you rather camp in a city or the mountains? Thanks for watching!

Glad to see you using the camper. I have watched all of your vids about rebuilding it all by yourselves. I admire people who try to do things for themselves for the first time, and just stick with it. Looking forward to more of your shows.

Thanks, I personally think I try to DIY a bit too many things, LOL! I'll be finally getting back to working on our Cal-Craft soon!

What a unique experience to camp in a city. Pretty cool but I agree that the state park is beautiful!

It was really fun, and it seems I drive through Tulsa often on the way to other places, so I hope to be back!

Lived in Tulsa 13 yrs, that wasn’t there then. Also lived in Wichita 6 months for work. Love the weather down there. Simon is getting sooo big!! Glad to see you out using the camper.

I've spent a fair amount of time in Tulsa since 2007, and it's changed a lot just in that time. I'm impressed with how the city has grown, and it makes me wish Wichita could find a similar vision for it's own growth (not trying to dog on ICT of course).

Great video Conan. I shared this with my class. I just love that camper. Especially love campers with a trunk. Looks like you all had a great time both in the city and in the country. Just beautiful there. I'll be visiting one day when I do route 66.

Thanks for sharing! You know being from Kansas we always sort of pooh-poohed Oklahoma, but honestly as I've gotten older and spent more time there, I really like it, and I NEVER expected a state park to be so nice! Tulsa is a really cool town too, and has a great art scene.

I loved your video. I have a small Sprite 1972 I have been working on for some time and have tried to interest my family in. We have done some weekend trips and have also taken it to Tulsa where I am from. Great to see the pictures. I love it there. You are doing great. Keep it up.

Thanks for the kind words and thanks for watching! Tulsa has a special place in my heart. I had my first gallery show there after graduating from college, and my future wife surprised me by driving down from Wichita for the opening. After we were married we came back several times over the years for various shows, and we always had a great time. It's really amazing how much the city's changed over the last 15 years or so!

Oh that's a nice gallery! I showed at Living Arts when it was still over on Kenosha, but I haven't really done anything outside of Wichita in several years. Most of my art these days is campers, lol.

Nope, I've still got it, and the next episode will be back to talking about it. I actually meant to do some of it today, but I sort of took the day off, oops!

Enjoyed the build & now your Camp'n. I have lived 1/2 my life in Cities & 1/2 my life in the Mountains so I speak Country Or City makes me Bilingual. LOL🤣Since I live at 3450 feet on my Mountain & Homestead with Nature & all the Critters, which we get along just great, other than for Wood Rats that arrive Uninvited. There has been in Virginia & West Virginia a huge Outbreak of Wood Rats & moving on up to Pa. & Upstate New York, every soon. Since Wood Rats produce 1,500 yearly, just times their Off Spring each Litter of 10 to 15 & in 5 weeks they are Sexually Active. Your trip has been enjoyable to enjoy. Your giving your Son great memories. Since I gave up Breads & Milk & anything with Carbs, as they produce Sugar into the system. Thryoid produces weight to appear. Called KETO Program. All Protein Meats & Steamed Veg's. Lost 139 pounds in 1 year so far. The foods your eating the Pizza & Bagels I remember the pure joy of them. The 1st Pizza was created in New Haven, Ct. & Best Bagels came from there. I do remember the Whale when it was in terrible shape & a group of people formed & restored it. Route 66 has some amazing places once stopped at & enjoyed. Many of Route 66 roadside attractions have disappeared. With your RUclips Channel I am able to recall. I just never go back to any place I once experienced or lived at. There is so much to see & experience in America & so many palces still want to. Make new Memories. Thanks for sharing. Safe Travels. always, Tommy🤠
