Bastard is my favorite. Honestly. I'm so happy that he seems to be doing better mentally. But I'm at a pretty dark time right now,so WOLF doesn't really reach me. I love this album. I think it is pure genius. He breaks a lot of stereotypes and really displays braverity in his usage of very jaring and provocative honesty. I think this is the beginning of what is to be a very exciting career to watch mature and I think he has already brought a multitude of new demensions(creatively) to the rap game. His music is really poetry and I respect what he is doing.
This is my favorite Tyler album, idk I just love how he sounded. Also, it has some legendary songs like (IMO) his best song bastard, seven, odd toddlers (underrated af), pigs fly, parade, sow it down, assmilk(🔥), session, and inglorious. Most of the album is Tyler talking about the absence of his father in his life with a few exceptions like blow and sarah.

i love this album! the beats and instrumentals are very unique. The chord progressions are interesting. I just really like the overall album from start to finish. It's full of energy and tyler just grips me with his vocals. they are very visual and i feel for the guy and can relate to it.

I think hip hop and rap this year has been at a standstill, concerning artists like Kanye and Rick Ross, like you mentioned. But I am interested in Tyler, The Creator and will give it a listen. By the way, that WALSH ep is the best!
10 years later, Tyler won a Grammy. So did Frank. Earl pretty much disappeared after “I don’t like shit, I don’t go outside”, 2015. Syd made some cool shit with “the internet”. Tacos an successful actor on TV. Jaspers still best friends with Tyler, also landed a spot on Jackass4 with 2 cool shows on vice to complement it. Lionel co created an animated show on adult swim with Tyler. Na-kael skates for Supreme and starred in a cool ass movie “mid 90s”. The rest of the OF crew kind of fizzled out, moved on with life I guess. OF is now disbanded, but forever lives on in the hearts of the millions affected by their music.
I was quite impressed when I first heard Earl's album and about Odd Future, so when I recently heard Bastard I was even more blown away with Tyler's style and as you said witty lyricism. He had so many lines on this thing that just halted me in the detail and imagery. I have high hopes for this group and their (odd) future projects to come.
