Canada needs to impose physical visa interview for each and every applicant who wish to come to Canada and should not be granted with any multiple visa. This will be the milestone for cracking down all the mess.
People can easily lie during in person interview. Instead funds should be allocated for evaluating financial documents where there is rampant fraud. Anyone who does commit document fraud can easily lie about it during in person interview

US visa is easiest to get if you have a proper reason and you have complied with the rules. US B1/B2 duration is dependent on country of citizenship. In 2012 when I was student in US, I had an accident and back to back surgeries. It was Tuesday (Tuesday night in India), my parents panicked, filed US visa form and fortunately found a slot for Thursday itself. It was time when everything was done in US embassy (no fingerprints at VFS). Visa officer did not ask any questions and immediately issued visa, which they received next day Friday.MUltiple entry 10 years. I am in Canada now, and applied for their US visa renewal. I am no longer in US but still renewal was smooth at Dropbox. NO documents were asked and US again issued 10 year multiple entry visa.
It means if you got visitor visa which is valid for ten years but due to expire of passport you have only for example 3/4 years visa remains. in that case if you renew your passport then you can entered canada on previous visa which is in your old passport?

Agreed. When I was a student in US, I had an accident had had 2 back to back surgeries. My parents were dead scared, asked an agent to file US visa forms and found the appointment for next day itself. They went to US consulate in Delhi without any financial documents, empty handed. Officer just asked purpose of visit, school name where I studied and issued the visa. They got their passport back with stamped visa next day itself.

Hi, i am an exserviceman having my own house in Delhi and drawing my defence pension from Delhi. I have two daughters the elderone and her family staying with me. Last year May 23 my younger daughter who is in Brampton had applied for self and wife visiting visa which was refused on the ground that we may not returned back to india. Do hou think an exserviceman who has his own house and a source of income monthly will be staying back in the extremely cold conditions with highly restricted movement in those 7 months. No the visa officer refused the visa without applying his mind and punished us . With the new rules it is more difficult to get a visa. Though the biomatric was done last year IRCC has been cruel to us. I have no male child. When Government of India give us an amount more than sufficient to meet our daily needs and also provided our medicines and incase of medication in a hospital i.e. admission to hospital free of cost the plea that we will overstay or will not return to our country is a wrong perception to reject the visa. Likewise I'm a serving officer and i was denied visa by IRCC twice. Later on when i checked, i got to know that I was denied as I'm a service personnel. This speaks volumes about the limited knowledge of Canadian authorities. Many other countries would love to invite officers from armed forces coz of their sheer status in society and the perks they enjoy when it comes to both social and financial matters. Canada needs to understand that going after India would only result in embarrassment on the global front

Canada should give visitors visa not more than 3 months. Visit means visit not 10 years living here.
