Pyramids, Snakes, Eyes...Reminds me of similar imagery in the Terry Gilliam film "The Imagiarium of Doctor Parnassus" with Christopher Plummer, Heath Ledger, Andrew Garfield, etc. Like, Masonic Imagery and ideologies (?). Curious!
Eric Dunlap I think that this man was in purgatory between life and death and while in that space tries to contact someone, presumably a loved one. Because of that attempt the girl sees the deeper less physical aspects of this world and is aware of other worldly things which drives her into insanity. Does that make sense?
Another thing I noticed is how the triangles and lizard people tie into some conspiracies, the Illuminati and the Reptillians. It's possible that the glowy triangles that were sent by the astronaut somehow revealed some celestical thingy to the girl, and now she's gotten herself caught up in a bunch of conspiracies. Now she sees triangles everywhere and starts just drawing them everywhere too. The Lizard People are a bit more of an extreme thing, as she sees this 'superpowerful intelligent race' in everyone, believing society is being totally controlled and that she cannot trust anyone. I don't know much of what it all means, to be honest. Another interesting thing to note is that the girl has a picture of an octopus in her room, something which ties it into BBD's video for Huggin and Kissin.
So to me "bitten by the apple" represents mankind's endless quest for knowledge, which is the secret agenda of the snake's, and there are sometimes unfortunate consequences to this. In the end the destroyed astronaut is returned to earth resurrected as a new messiah. Oh, and Kimbra is probably God.
