A guide for those learning this piece from the Royal Conservatory of Music Resonance Level Grade three Traditional Italian folk song Arranged by Christine Donkin
Hi Patricia, great song! Being of Italian descent, I grew up listening to and enjoying traditional Italian folk music. I didn't know this one before, but after discovering it for the first time yesterday on your channel, I must say I quite enjoy it! I love the story it tells as well. I kinda don't like how she calls her mother "stupida" though, but other than that I really do enjoy the song. Very catchy tune as well. Where can I get the sheet music and/or the piano accompaniment for this arrangement? I love it! Keep up the awesome work!
Close, actually it's in Italian. Basically the girl is saying to her mother, "I'm sick, is there something in the garden that can cure me?" So the mother brings back several veggies, but the girl says, "No Mamma, that won't cure me of my ailment." Finally the mother brings the gardener, and the girl is happy and cured. First time I've heard this song, I love it!
The song is about a girl who is asking her mother to get something for her from the garden. Her mother brings back different veggies and she says,”no mama, I don’t want that. I’m sick” finally mama brings in the gardener and she is happy.
Thank you; it is a very nice song.
