Watching Pete Dorr eat something for the first time is a thing of beauty. You gotta learn Japanese and come to Japan Pete. It's your calling.
Ive been in Japan 3 times and I love going into japanese convenience stores and buy random snacks and weird things. and also the 6-8 story electronic stores. its like walking into a store in the future where everything just LOOKS nice. not to mention the arcades, and Akihabara where all the shops are Otaku and electronic themed and alot of huge arccedes with the latest games. oooh and Shibuya is super awesome
Beef Tongue is so underrated in the states. Andrew Zimmer was right. Tongue is amazing. Anyone that can try it, well, try it. Sooooo good.

If you were wondering, the mario kart 7 pamphlet doesn't have random guys on the front, they are the biggest boy band in japan, Arashi. the guy on the cover of the super mario land 3d pamphlet dressed as mario is one of the members of Arashi. Just thought I would let you know :)

I don´t know if you know this, but actually the japanese people where the ones who discovered the 5th sense that is called umami, and it´s the one resposable for flavors like beef that´s why the have such strong flavors in their food, awesome video btw :)
I respect this guy not many people collect games like this guy and put the videos on youtube unlike other people trolling on his videos because they dont have sht.

That Dark Souls folder came with every Japanese pre-order of the game, unlike the more limited physical soundtrack with special case that was also a Japanese exclusive treat. Perhaps it was also given out as a promotional item as well. It's nice but it could have been a couple of more pages =/ Nice to see you finally got the limited edition of ICO and Shadow of the Colossus. I knew it was just a matter of time =)

I had teryaki burger flavored chips in Japan and they were frickin slammin. Their snacks are so much better than what you get here in the states. I fell in love with Hi-Chew too. Warning... don't ever try the stuff if you don't want to become an addict.

Cool stuff. Not a big fan of keeping items sealed though. I mean, yeah if you plan on selling them later on, but if you know you're gonna keep it why not open it and enjoy what's inside? Especially with something like this. The collector's book, both of the manuals and even the disc artwork are gorgeous! Anyway, I really enjoy your vids. Keep it up! :)

Taylor sent you some nice stuff!! Love ICO and that's a nice find! ahhh Just came back from Japan.. love the snacks, Actually they are not so hard to find in the US.. well if you live in big cities. NYC has a lot of these. I frequent the Japanese stores a lot :p and i'm sure You could find some in Cali. What you need to request is the KitKats from Japan :) those are amazing since they have so many different flavors.

Ah...Shadow of Colossus. That was one of the best games for the ps2 I have ever played, even now it seems better than most ps3 games out there

You can't put apostrophes on plurals like "extra's" or "promo's" it's just "extras" and "promos".
guess im lucky some of these i can get at the local grocery store. not so much the video game branded stuff, thats a little harder to find since there are a lot of collectors in my area

It can be a profitable return on his investment. After all there are videogames that are pretty rare which can cost thousands of dollars. There is a super rare original Zelda for NES system with the cartridge made of pure gold. I think less than 5 were made and if you are lucky enough to own that specific title in mint condition you can make your self $10,000+ today. There were a lot of fake gold editions made that cost 0.50 cents today but the real ones maybe 5 or less.
Yo Pete, I thought it might have been the Limited Edition Ico/SoC HD games you received. I bought that myself from Solaris Japan and i'm still not sure if i should open it up or not lol. Was hoping to maybe get a normal local copy of the HD collection when it becomes cheap to save the urge in opening the limited edition one up :)

@mingtongzhi Perhaps, but this case seems more like an "oxford comma" or "possessive singular ending in s" situation than a "period where a colon should be" .. you get what I'm saying? It's based on a subjective visual aesthetic rather than complete deviation from the objective rulebook.

@MrVengeance83 the guy who sent that stuff to pete knew that that was what he was going to do with it. Pete's a collector, of course he's gonna leave it on the side to collect dust, yet your the only person who has a problem with that. Oh and by the way, you said no french.
@GGC94 I used to be worried about that years ago, but I went to the doctor and he told me that they were hair glands without hair or something like that. Don't be pissed off at me if you go to the doctor and you have an STD instead though....
