I had a great time hanging with you guys that day as well. And THANKS for the awesome copy of Necronomicon on the Sega Saturn! The John Petrucci soundtrack is killer. BTW: Great job on the b-roll for this video. Rock! \m/
Im very happy you took my suggestion and incorporated BGM to your videos now, makes them much more engrossing. Not even that loud either, but it makes all the difference
Pete, i want you to know that i extremely respect you. You work hard and do what you love, and nothing stands in your way. Dont ever let society tell you whats right or wrong...always do what you love no matter what you do, or what anybody says.
Pacman arrangement is also on namco museum for gamecube. Actually picked it up for a buck 50 today at a thrift store. Glad I bought it now knowing that pacman arrangement is semi exclusive to the game.
Awesome finds. I wished I lived in areas like that with awesome retro stores. Of late there have been a few that opened up but not any that have the extensive libraries that there is in Seattle. I hope you had fun at Pax Prime.
Only have one game store locally that isn't a Gamestop, and it's fairly small. About an hour drive to the next nearest, little over 3 hours to get to the Mecca that is the Seattle area. Going to be taking a road trip soon though, really wanting to get more games.
Hey pete, the specific pac-man arrangement game that you mentioned in your video is also available in the namco museum collection for the ps2(the original version not the 50th anniversary version). Also,if you buy games that have missing game case artwork or a missing manual go to bre software. It is an online site/store that sell various video game related packaging(including manuals & game case artwork.). I have conducted business with them many times & have never had any problems with them.
Wow some of those stores have an amazing amount of stock. You got some very decent titles. Wow so many PC Engine games in one place - well rescued! I managed to get a copy of Violent Soldier from Japan for a reasonable price, it just arrived today - video up later. I am collecting all the Megadrive/Genesis shoot em ups as well, that Task Force Harrier looks like a pretty decent title.
Hey Pete. I was watching your video and had a small tip for future videos. When you show the game cases to the camera, be mindful of the glare from the lights in the room. It is sometimes difficult to see the cover when the light is shining in the camera. Other than that, great video!
SO awesome, Pete. You've really sparked my interest for the PC Engine from this video alone. It'll be a while before I consider taking the plunge and purchasing an actual system, but when I do, I may need to ask you specifics about which console to purchase, how much I should pay, games to get, ect. Would eBay be my best bet to get a console and games for a reasonable price? I would also think Play-asia may be a good place to snag games? In any case, great video, glad you had fun at PAX man! :D
A collage? How lovely,he's into cutting various materials such as photographs and pieces of paper or fabric that are arranged and stuck to a backing to make a picture.
I've played Hamtaro: Ham-Ham Heartbreak before and remember it being really fun. Ha ha so I don't think it's weird that you picked up a Hamtaro game. :) I loved the layout of Al's too. That place was so awesome. Great video. Love the pickups!!!! Lots of shooter so I guess you are still on your shmup kick. :)
Man founding stuff in person is always the best! We really don't have much retro gaming store over here so i have to look aroud flea markets and thrift shops since most of the retro gaming store we do have are way over priced worse then ebay
Sunset Riders is a really good game. I remember playing that with my brother all the time back in the day on the Super Nintendo. I was surprised to find it is such a valuable game now when I started looking for it again a few years ago. Great find.
I do remember the other videos from last year. You got some great stuff. n2o is awesome! I love odd games nobody plays! OH snap sunset riders! :DD Very nice pick-ups buddy! :D
9:45 this game looks like Need for Speed meets Mario Kart! So many retro-games there Pete, All-Gen Gamers Reunited, Although HappyConsoleGamer didn't join the hunting. but good game hunting plus was there a Play N Trade around Washington?
@13:13 Holy living hell! I totally remember playing this game on an arcade machine in a Round Table pizza restaurant when I was a kid.. I spent so many quarters on it. Parents were probably not pleased. It was really fun.
thats very very true....we are very spoiled over here...im sure its harder in europe or asia with fake games but in america people dont throw away games , people keep games for years and years and years and then they just sell them on ebay and they get recycled all over the country year after year
Well, only in some parts of America (such as the places these RUclipsrs are at). A true place for collecting would be Japan and Aussieland, naturally. But, America is still good as a whole for sure. I'm in the North of England and there's really only a few shops and not many good online places, either. Generally, it's more money than America and not as much retro stuff. But, still, places like England and Germany are great for games, as well.
I’d love to go to LA to look through all those stores one day. I hear the cost of living is through the roof, but man does the west coast have some cool freaking shops.
jealous. the only game stores here are bloody gamestops, so naturally, i do all my shopping on uk ebay or some local auction site. needless to say, everything is like 80% more expensive. and as much more rare anyway.
I have a great local guy. I suggest you look for individual shop owners for games, and CEX if you have to (although if you keep checking eBay, some deals are insanely cheap). And I guess there will be some Facebook pages, too. I live in the North of England.
Pete, you can actually get Pacman Arrangements one of the PS1 Namco museums and on any of the Namco museums on PS2, xbox, and Gamecube. And there is even an stand up arcade version that i have seen and played before.
I nearly swooned when I saw that the second store you visited had a copy of Lords of Thunder... Where would one find Turbografx and Turbo CD consoles, games, and accessories for prices that would not require an organ transplant?
Pac-Man arrangement was actually on Namco Museum (2001) for the Xbox, PS2 and Gamecube (Gamecube version from 2002), along with Galaga Arrangement, Dig Dug Arrangement, Pac-Attack, Pac-Mania and Pole Position II.
pete, i want you to post a set of videos of you trying to tackle the touhou games, you can play them online for free "i heard from a friend" and its the craziest over the top shmup you will ever play
In the UK retro game stores are really few and far between, eBay really is the place you have to search things out. The big difference I have found here compared to what you mention on your videos is that the games are much cheaper here on eBay than in the stores. I should really make more effort to seek out the retro game stores the next time I'm over in the US.
what exactly do you do for a living pete? I've just recently started to watch your videos, they're pretty awesome and I got curious because I see you buying tons of games in most of them
I envy you Pete, you get to go to these cool stores. All I got in my local area and surrounding area are nothing but gamestop. We used to have your typical mom and pop retro gaming stores but gamestop killed them all. :(
I have 2 retro game shops in my area the onlones for miles, but... Nobody trades anything in anymore so all of there good stock has been cleared out for ps1 ps2 and soon PSP, They get the odd good thing in now and then so I normally jump straight on that, on time bought a load of stuff and they where stood there like thanks for cleaning out the good stock again. Its good having a game shop so close and getting on wite the employers and manager in both
SO JELLY RIGHT NOW! I have never been to a store where it's wall to wall cartridges! My local record store has a bunch a classic games, but none that i want/don't have.
Hi loved those videos! Can you get me the links for the stores? I'm not from USA but i would love to know if they do international shipping because some things they sell aren't easy to get where i live. Thanks!
Yeah Pacman Arrangement is on the PS2 Namco Museum game, along with Galaga Arrangement and DigDug Arrangement, I highly recommend it for those versions of the games which are great
Hello Pete, I want to ask you (or anyone else) where u find out about all this stores, i just know about Gamestop, I want a classic collection in the side of my 360 collection
Man, I´d love to see video game stores like that where I´m from...compared to what we got in here, the first one seems huge...I´ve never seen a Sega Saturn game in my entire life...
I never really had much time to go to a lot of the game stores even though we got in early on thursday. I really didn't want to cart my wife all over seattle and surrounding area to game stores, but we did stop into pink gorilla in the u district and al's video games. I didn't buy a lot for myself the only thing that interested me was symphony of the night black label but my wife found a ton of records she always wanted to own.
I had a great time hanging with you guys that day as well. And THANKS for the awesome copy of Necronomicon on the Sega Saturn! The John Petrucci soundtrack is killer. BTW: Great job on the b-roll for this video. Rock! \m/
Hello MetalJesusRocks
I love the editing and the quality of your b roll shots. Very solid video and I'm glad you picked up Sunset Riders. Cheers.
I always love videos like this, great to see another one from you, Pete!
Vanark looked pretty damn badass and I haven't seen it before. So I'm gonna have to keep an eye out for that one
Adverts at the end is an awesome idea, bet he makes tons of money by doing that
Having clips of the games you bought makes your videos so much better.
Nice video, Pete. I love how you added gameplay footage for all of the games.
Pacman arrangement is also on namco museum for gamecube. Actually picked it up for a buck 50 today at a thrift store. Glad I bought it now knowing that pacman arrangement is semi exclusive to the game.
He is going to a full time college. Metal Jesus Rocks told me through the comments on his iPad apps video.
Awesome finds. I wished I lived in areas like that with awesome retro stores. Of late there have been a few that opened up but not any that have the extensive libraries that there is in Seattle.
I hope you had fun at Pax Prime.
I like the short video game clips that you put in, it's a nice touch-up! Keep it up!
Pacman Arrangement is on my gamecube disc of the Namco museum if you're interested
Impossible. Pete would never sell his games. Pete IS games! I hope he'll be back soon.
As a kid I had a hamster named HamTaro, and it looked really similar to the actual HamTaro as well. R.I.P little buddy!
I'm not really into gaming anymore but I really enjoy these videos. Lots of memories.
Yea Pete showing Seattle and Pink Gorilla some love, I love that store
pete u inspired me man, im retro shopping tomorrow for snes and saturn thank u
Great find Pete, that Pac-man collection on the GBA is one of my favs. Great game.
Awesome video Pete, I'm bummed I missed Pax prime again this year tickets sold old way faster then usual. I hope to go next year again :-)
Sunset Riders is a fun side scroller. Good find! I no longer have the cart, but I have a rom of it. It's a classic.
Wow, looks like Seattle is a gold mine of retro games. Very cool.
I wish I could get my hands on a copy of Sunset Riders.
Awesome Pickups Pete.. Quantum Redshift looks cool Im gonna keep an eye out for a copy.
Only have one game store locally that isn't a Gamestop, and it's fairly small. About an hour drive to the next nearest, little over 3 hours to get to the Mecca that is the Seattle area. Going to be taking a road trip soon though, really wanting to get more games.

Nice to see gameplay of the games. Awsome video.
I live in the seattle area (Microsoft is here in Redmond) and I see games with those Microsoft employee purchase stickers on them everywhere.
Man founding stuff in person is always the best! We really don't have much retro gaming store over here so i have to look aroud flea markets and thrift shops since most of the retro gaming store we do have are way over priced worse then ebay
Very solid Video Pete, need more video hunting videos :-)
Sunset Riders is a really good game. I remember playing that with my brother all the time back in the day on the Super Nintendo. I was surprised to find it is such a valuable game now when I started looking for it again a few years ago.
Great find.
Ahh!! I have been looking for Vanark. The employee in the first store shot you should had some major bed head going on! lol
I do remember the other videos from last year. You got some great stuff. n2o is awesome! I love odd games nobody plays! OH snap sunset riders! :DD Very nice pick-ups buddy! :D

Found copies of Secret of Mana, Chrono Trigger, and Super Mario RPG for 3 bucks a piece at a flea market :)
Nice Sunset Riders find. I got my cart only from a flea market for $2 when I was 13 years old... around 8 years ago.
9:45 this game looks like Need for Speed meets Mario Kart! So many retro-games there Pete, All-Gen Gamers Reunited, Although HappyConsoleGamer didn't join the hunting. but good game hunting plus was there a Play N Trade around Washington?

Great stuff Pete, Sunset Riders for around 50$ is a steal!
Peter is the shit. Just rediscovered his channel
Damn, wished I lived where you do, here we have a Game and Gamestation, the oldest games are maybe for the PS2 at most, and even then only a handful.
Nice finds man. I wish I had awesome game stores like that in my area.
@13:13
Holy living hell! I totally remember playing this game on an arcade machine in a Round Table pizza restaurant when I was a kid.. I spent so many quarters on it. Parents were probably not pleased. It was really fun.
America is really a paradise for collectors.
thats very very true....we are very spoiled over here...im sure its harder in europe or asia with fake games but in america people dont throw away games , people keep games for years and years and years and then they just sell them on ebay and they get recycled all over the country year after year
