Have a look.
Super cool. Thanks

I love the oil drum design. It gives them this 1930's vintage racer look to them. So cool!
the 30's Car were made this small because of the Gas Crisis .. like humm right now its 1.50/ L this summer it might be 2$/L
I am currently building a Go kart. THIS IS A GREAT IDEA. I'm going to try it.
That is one of the coolest things i have ever seen.Simple but amazing
The levels of design and pure craftsmanship are awesome. This guy should be building Formula One cars.
THAT CARVED WOOD STEERING WHEEL IS A WORK OF ART!
The whole bloody thing is a work of art! Exquisite workmanship and attention to detail. 👍👍👍
a few years ago I hired a taxi , a 1953 Chev.in Cuba. I could see the road through the floor and the steering wheel was a work of art. The original had broken so a new one was fashioned out of wood, just like on the Barrel cars. Another taxi had a Diesel boat motor in it, a 1954 Ford. You make do with what you can get.
Lol!! What in the world makes you assume that it's hand-carved?? 🤣 It's a boat steering wheel. You can buy them on Amazon.
@@deathwrenchcustom It's for a car. It's made by a company called 'Grant'. It's actually hard plastic, but there are actual wood ones made by 'Raptor'.
just proves... a gear head can be found anywhere! way cool.
Kind of reminds me of the race cars they used to build out of WW2 aircraft drop tanks here in the US.
they made canoes out of them over here .
That beautiful wood steering wheel is something else.
That’s exactly what I noticed. ✌️
Those vehicles are fantastic! The barrel is the best for aerodynamics, and the bucket in front is safety crash zone.
The bucket in the front like punches a hole in the air because it's flat so as far as they were Dynamics work that's still a good thing
Go carts wrapped with a barrel. Pretty cool.
You're absolutely right - those are freaking cool!!! Thanks for posting.
Those are crazy and cool. I kind of want one just because it is so unusual! Kind of makes me think of the fuel pod Bonneville cars
Or the SoCal Tank.
Fitted with a battery and an electric engine they would be perfect to hop in and go for a shopping trip to the local supermarket or to get your take away. Amazing design...
i don't know but the battery would be much much heaver than the engine..
@@dunhillsupramk3 Really? How much do the petrol engine and tank weigh and how much would the electric motor and battery weigh?
@@dunhillsupramk3 You would be surprised how far you could get with a small electric motor and two car batteries ! 👍
Oh wow, can sing along "Chitty Chitty Bang Bang our four fended friend" while driving this through the farm! Cool oil drum cars!
The workmanship, fit and finish are amazing. The guy's a genius! Does he ship to Canada?
I was thinking the same thing, then I remembered this is Canada, we would never be allowed to drive these unique rides because of our safety and all.
@@corymcgrath5652 Hi, Cory. Yep, that's the truth. I understand the next thing to be banned for safety reasons is racquetball. Hard walls, y'know?
Just dress like a Shriner. Cops won't mess with a Mason.
@@corymcgrath5652 I wonder if enough people said enough is enough...stopped buying these rediculous over prices pieces of crap and enormously high insurance rates and just started making our own vehicle's out of recycled materials like bamboo shoots and bicycles that nobody wants anymore,...lawn mowers that are thrown away as soon as they run out of gas...or need a tune up...🤔 Well what could they do if everyone stopped playing the game.
Those are so neat. I want one!
You're right. Very cool little cars
Grass roots creativity. Very cool
I'm dad made my brother and I oil drum go kart 35 years ago, we had a blast, my brother still has it for his kids now.
You make do with what you have. These are cool. Sure beats walking.
This is the most beautiful thing I've seen in a long time
Those are wild! I have to build one of my own.
Love them! They remind me of home made vintage racing cars. I wanna see them race.
Great little cars... very nicely done and love those steering wheels!
Wow l want one of those , absolutely ingenious 👍 👍 👍
Another example of Thai creativity and freedom (in some areas). Looks really fun. But...I saw a brake pedal but I didn't see any brakes! Clearly none in the front, probably one single disk on the rear axle. Thanks for sharing.
no freedom in thailand.
@@DieselRamcharger sure there is.
That should spark a race trend in the west, would be a barrel of fun. 👏
Wow these things are really well made , love them , nice job . 👍
That is super cool and just what you need to putt around a neighborhood.
Thanks for posting this! Got to be fun.
Pity they aren't being sold in the USA. I'm sure it wouldn't be street legal, but it would be so much fun to drive.
@crash burn it has one wheel too many. Vehicles registered as a motorcycle are two or three wheeled.
A barrel of laughs?
perfect alt to pit bikes at race events or swap meets
It might be "legal" in a golf cart community in Florida, they put tags on golf carts, BUT no way on regular roads due to crash safety, emissions, brake and suspension requirements.
Even if you got a vintage motor and built a replica "Sears Buck Board" I don't think you'd be welcome in traffic.
@@peterdarr383 No highway but local street legal, times have changed.
Really LIKED the oil drum cars. COOL !!!
THANKS ! I've just GOT to build something like this !
I liked the carts .
Absolutely Bitchin'. Cool ass hell, fun as hell. It's a motorcycle for those that are a little wobbly after a night out. A great little runner for quick trips. Wish you could drive something like that on the road here in the States (legally) but I know the regulations would kill the project.
Be a nice one to cruise around the village and back roads here, looks like a lot of fun to me.
in the right state, it would be do-able. You'd be best to start with an actual car, use all its drivetrain components and firewall, then license as a modified or kit car.
@@firebird77clonefirebird89 I dont think thats the point. More a fun project you build from scratch. IMO.
I'm not sure about that. There are states where ATVs and side by sides are road legal and you can register a low power vehicle like those tiny electric cars from China as long as they are under a certain HP limit.
@@marvindebot3264 times have changed in the 3 years since I made this comment. At least in 5he city where I lived in the US. Quads. Scooters etc legal within city limits. Even a Gator is used for a coffee shop that delivers. Like the progress
That is very cool.
They look so attractive too. The maker(s) did a great job on the aesthetics.
I want one of those now!!!!
Paul, I did a google image search and could not find anybody else making powered barrel cars, only kids pedal cars from barrels, you ought to buy one and make some videos with it. I bet they would go viral.
I can't find anything either, maybe it is something totally new, that is unusual for sure.
The closest I can find is this: ruclips.net/video/Ge2zHNZ9o2o/видео.html Not quite an oil drum.
Looks like a great run around town machine !
I'm checking the Canadian import rules ...
Building one of these is def on my list now
Just fantastic.
Closer to a model t than a go cart. Very cool.
They really are cool. Nice work👍
Those remind me of the cycle carts that people build!
When I was in Thailand I saw some very creative things. The Thai people are very good at creating.
Great way to contol the population growth!
incredible Thailand! that is one of the coolest vehicle jugaads I've ever seen ... wow!
Never know what you're going to see around here.
was that close to my favourite market there?
if yes I should maybe consider to come to Thailand and live there on the market. Seems you have enough oil drums there, and an oil drum is for sure as good as the drum of Diogenes, that good old Greek philosopher ;-)
Same area, yes...lol
lifeinthailand I knew it ;-)
lol
Looks like a gokart engine system.
Industrial engine, centrifugal clutch and drive chain.
Pretty simple just like a gokart.
Agree completely, thanks for sharing! Looks near 5hp based on the cylinder size.
I've always been an admirer of oil drum design, glad to see it getting more exposure..
Beautiful cars.
incredibly cool
Very cool the motor looks like ohv briggs twin. Like a Vanguard Briggs Stratton.
So very cool, thanks for showing it!
No diff so should be interesting around roundabouts. No suspension so best to avoid potholes. Single brake on the back axle so brake early. Racing them around a dirt track might be fun lol.
There is suspension in front of the engine, you just get a glimpse of it @ 1:12 mark, you can see a spring coil over shock.
The rear has suspension as well. Note the swing arm type application. Hinged just after rear of seat.
Send it
There's room in that thing for a small block chevy.
If you work hard enough, there's room for a small block Chevy in anything!!!
Neat. Thanks for sharing.
OMG I want one of those. Fantastic !!!
lol, I think we should all get one and race them.
Back to the basics in style!
Just like the cycle carts they build here in the states but with a different twist
cool car
Very cool
Pretty darnn cool actually. And very clever too ! 👍
Those are cool I was laughing with you
M A D - that has to be the coolest thing i have seen for a while- love that!
Was very cool, too bad I didn't get any info on them, have not seen them since.
The Shriners need to see this
HI. That looks cool, frugal but stylish.
God bless.
I wish we were allowed to be this creative in America
Ultra cool .
That is creative thinking all the way
Wow these oil drum cars are so cool! Thanks for the upload!
Ngl, I would totally drive one of them!
This is amazing cool, first thing I would do is build a little trailer to pull
Egg-selent idea 😃
You’re right, they’re so cool. 👍👍
That country has genius engineering people,,, unknown, underated,,from their farm vehicles to road transport, and river boats,, they're , engineering marvels. . thinking outside the box...
So cool! So simple. I have an oil drum… and I have an engine… 🤔 Reminds me of a comic strip “ Adoons Hulle” - it was about a bunch of baboons, that had cars made out of planks and a wine barrel over the engine.
sweet, i'm defiantly making one of those,
😁 i built one in 1995 it was like a lokal beercan with a chaisaw enginge, it was a present but these were moore ”factorylook”
Thanks for sharing, awesome!!!
Seriously cool vehicles.
Agree.really cool.
Creative ppl.ruel!
Very cool! I'm want to build one 👍
Very cool, very ingenious. Similar to the drop tank racers hot rodders in the US would do in the late 40s and 50s buying surplus P51 fuel drop tanks and doing just that but with a big ass Detroit flat head 8 to make them move like a scalded cat.
How cool! These are definitely Thai-style CycleKarts! Well done!
it reminds me of those old english 3 wheeler Morgans, except they had the engine in the front. I would love tobe able to drive something like that which i could repair myself for a few dollars so long as everybody else was driving them. I would not want to be in traffic with a 4 ton SUV behind me.
Be good on the back roads or around here in the village but on busy dangerous Thai roads, might not be the best idea.
Man, that is the perfect Island car. They would be a big hit for retirement areas around here. tfs
It sure would.
I love this!!! Where therea's a will, there's a way - Thai-style, indeed!
Thailand - where they sell gas in big pop bottles!
Yes now that is ingenuity right up my street..brilliance :]
Insanely cool for sure.
Awesome! Thx for this video. It made my day : )
i think i just found my next project!! those are awesome!!!!!
Me as thai, I Nerver seen this before! It's looks like old racing car! Love it!
Cool cars. Unbelievable. Thanks for sharing.
Another cool find in rural Thailand.
That’s pretty cool
Thai is so cool. I want one of those. Could you imagine the face of people when you drive one of these thing into a gas station for a fill up.. LOL
Around here they have seen a lot of strange stuff, it is common to get gas in a water bottle here, but I think you would get a lot of looks driving one around town.
friggin deadly, got to build one someday. awesome
Would not be that hard to build, would be hard to make it look this cool though.
Oh no ! My project addiction just kicked in 😳
cool like the speed boats on the mekong.ingenious
👍👌👏 Oh WOW, simply fantastic!
Thanks a lot for making explaining recording editing uploading and sharing.
Best regards, luck and health.
Mal ein schönes und sinnvolles abseikling , für den Weg zur Arbeit guter Ansatz der Zweckmäßigkeit . Für unsere Gefilde fehlt nur noch Dach und Windschutzscheibe wie beim Kabinenroller . 👍👍👍🙃
Slick! You could have a barrel of laughs in those 😁👍
I am soooooo making one!
Cool man, I wish I had one when I was 12
I say a "Must have" for Jay Leno's garage...
